Seriously, I’m a total grindhouse movie geek and the names just reminds me of some cheesy little flick that features chases through Chinatown in beat up Monte Carlo Chevrolets with hot chicks at the wheel and possibly bad dubbing. Bad dubbing always makes grindhouse movies the awesome doesn’t it?
If hot chicks are involved in I’m betting they have juicy, glossy lips and who knows maybe they are reaching for Lipstick Queen Glossy Pencils to do the job up good.
Take the jump to watch this grindhouse movie unfold.

Oxymoron: A rhetorical figure in which incongruous or contradictory terms are combined, as in a deafening silence and a mournful optimist.
Click ahead for it.
Lipstick Queen Oxymoron Matte Gloss contradicts itself with a smooth, sheer formula that wears like a gloss but has the finish of a matte lipstick. With incredible vintage Gorey-like illustrations on the packaging this matte gloss is chic and multitasking for cheeks and lips.
I know I’m one of those that falls into the category of being deadly scared of matte lipstick…well ok..I admit it…matte anything scares the hell out of me. Matte colors be it shadow, lipstick, or other proves a difficult medium to work with as it’s particularly a daunting task to blend and apply correctly. No worries Lipstick Queen Oxymoron Gloss is creamy, moisturizing, blends flawless onto cheeks or lips, and leaves behind pigmented color that’s flattering, healthy, natural, and very pretty. Possibly one of the best matte formulas I’ve had the pleasure of working with.
Not unlike that of Stila Convertible Color compact these glosses are long wearing on your face for a fresh burst of color. The formula is slightly tacky and holds a certain stickiness to it but applies like a dream to cheeks leaving behind just the right amount of color. That tack in the formula allows the product to remain on cheeks for a nice, long wear especially in humid, hot weather!
As for lips, the gloss comes with a decent enough lip brush (if you have your own you might like to use that) for application. Shhh I tend to apply with a finger tip, gives me more control, just be sure you use nice clean finger tips before dipping it into the compact! The gloss smooths onto lips easily leaving behind very pigmented color with a tiny hint of subtle glossiness that contradicts that of the very matte finish. I noticed the formula was a bit drying on my lips but not over much however those with VERY dry lips should probably prep well prior to use and perhaps add a bit of gloss on top to prevent the gloss from feathering or drying lips out further.
The shades I tried are quite similar in color with very slight differences. Free Ride is a nude peach where as Honest Politician brown rose shade. On my lips and cheeks I didn’t notice much difference between the two shades but regardless both were flattering.

I’m about to get all Medieval on you! Ha, I crack myself up. I so wanted to review Lipstick Queen Medieval Lipstick just so I can use that catch phrase. What? I’m easily amused, sue me.
Why was I under the impression Lipstick Queen Medieval Lipstick was a deeply pigmented, possibly matte lippie? Oh how the very confused I was. Turns out it’s an incredibly sheer, lightweight lipstick that’s simply gorg!
This lipstick was inspired by Medieval times when full coverage lipstick was considered a sin, hey they had lipstick in Medival times? Who knew? Better yet Lipstick Queen explains that women used lemons to stimulate the lips and stain their lips a see through blood red. Ha! That’s like my tip of the day who wants to hit up Trader Joe’s with me for some lemons? Ok, maybe mess, we’ll stick with Lipstick Queen Medieval Lipstick, same effect and pretty packaging too!
I’ve been privy to much of Lipstick Queen’s line and have loved just about everything I tried thus far. For some odd reason or another I was under the impression that Medieval was in fact a very bold, bright, matte red. Is there any reason why I was under said impression? It’s any wonder as Lipstick Queen is known for brighter, bolder shades of lipstick that’s for sure.
Turns out Lipstick Queen Medieval is anything but…..
This lippie is a very sheer, subtle kiss of red that’s ideal for Summer lovin’ lips. It’s a universally flattering shade of what I deem “Snow White” red. You remember the fairy tale that told us Snow White had blood red lips well I suspect Snow White was guilty of going Medieval. The shade is that of a bitten lip look for a very natural, fresh kiss of color. I’m in love.
As for me, Lipstick Queen Medieval is simply gorgeous and my new Summer Must Have Make Up Item. I multitasked it in my below picture by applying a generous layer on my lips and proceeding to follow up with some on my cheeks. Yup, that’s right, I used it as a blush. The formula can easily be used as as a subtle lipstick or a cheeky little blusher for gently flushed skin. No making fun as I didn’t have time to slap on foundation or concealer this morning so I’m being really minimal today with my makeup eep!
Total Muse Approval for purchase. Likey alot.
Anyone try?

Although the Muse is a known sinner she likes to think of herself in an angelic light or even saintly one if you will!
I previously reviewed Lipstick Queen Sinner Lipstick for you and today I’m bringing you my review on the Lipstick Queen Saint Lipstick.
You might be wondering what the different is between a Sinner Lipstick and a Saint one so allow the Muse to explain. Lipstick Queen Sinner is a matte, color rich lipstick with no shimmer, frosting, or anything else aside from straight, creamy, pigmented color.
Loves it!

The Muse has been known to sin on occasion although her mum doesn’t know so don’t mention it to her if you see her ok?
Lipstick Queen makes it pretty darn easy to sin my way through luscious, pigmented, pin up style girl lips!
Check out why after the jump…….
Prior to reviewing Lipstick Queen Sinner the Muse would like to say she hates matte lipstick just as much as she hates matte eye shadow however I absolutely loved the Lipstick Queen formula even if it was matte.
Sportin’ Lipstick Queen Sinner Lipstick in Rouge Sinner
All in all I was very pleased with Lipstick Queen Sinner Lipstick and I’ll be purchasing further colors for myself from the line. It’s truly an outstanding product. Muse Approved for purchase all the way!
Billy Joel told me he’d much rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints so the Muse did just that this morning! She sinned with Lipstick Queen Sinner Shine Hardcore Gloss and sure did like all that sinning! Supposedly only the good die young so I might as we be bad and sin my way through the day with gorgeous, shiny, plump, juicy lips!
I think we have all established by now the entire lip plumping craze really isn’t about the “sting” but more about the texture and formula of the gloss. Thicker glosses create fuller looking lips! Lipstick Queen Sinner Shine Gloss has an amazingly thick formula which glides onto lips leaving behind a glossy, shiny finish and adding a sexy plump to lips. My lips are at least double the size this morning but I promise it’s not a bad Amanda Lepore look! Although the formula is quite a good deal sticky and tacky I don’t mind in the least as it does hold the gloss in place for long periods of time without having to touch up every two seconds because it’s slipping off my mouth onto my chin. Put it on and it stays on for hours at a time. I used it last night prior to heading to the movies and it lasted through a trip to the theater, through a two hour film, through a large Dr. Pepper Slurpee, a pack of Twizzlers, and back home…..looking at myself in the mirror a few hours later and my gloss was still going strong. The color Wine Sinner is a deeper peach shade on me. The swatch on the site looks more like a wine shade but I honestly felt like it looked more like a peachy brown shade on my lips. The gloss comes in a nice heavy plastic jar which is quite large so it’s $22 USD price tag is well, well worth it. I was quite impressed with the size of the product as I was expecting a smaller size but this is huge. The gloss has a faint lemon flavor that’s reminds me of Philosophy’s Kiss Me Gloss.
I can’t begin to rave enough about the amazing formula. It’s pigmented enough to work perfectly well on it’s own plus it’s highly emollient and moisturizing. Chalk up Lipstick Queen Sinner Shine Hardcore Gloss as a total Muse Approved gloss for purchase! You needs it! My only minor rant is the fact it only comes in 7 shades! Can we has more shades please? Thank you!
