I’m getting Swept Away with the Napoleon Perdis Holiday Collection 2010. The collection celebrates all things tropical so you aren’t getting a traditional Christmas Collection here but one with a warm vibe.
The new Great Escapes Brush Set features an aquatic blue travel case and 8 travel friendly brushes.
Let’s have a look!
I’m always on the look out for great blending brushes. I love my MAC 224 but I cheat from time to time to see what else is out there. In the case of budget beauty, E.L.F. has some surprisingly good offerings in the brush world.
They recently introduced a Mineral Brush Collection that’s 100% Cruelty Free, I picked up the blending brush on a whim when perusing the new Fall Collection.
I consider myself a bit of a tomboy in some ways but lord knows I love pretty things and that’s all about being a girl. I’m also a fond lover of collecting vintage Victorian and art deco vanity pieces. Some of my collection is worth quite a good deal of cash and wanting other pieces only adds to that large tab.
Which is why, for a very long time, I’ve been a fan of Lady Primrose. Speaking of pretty things…..
Lady Primrose has graced my vanity for a good number of years and although prices can be higher up it’s not nearly the amount you’d spend at auction for antique vanity pieces plus the fragrances that the brand launches are an incredible extra. I’ll be telling you more about the brand very soon but today I thought I’d do a brief review of their blotting paper.
Take a look!
When it comes to MAC Brush Sets, the choice of purchasing one, is a personal decision. Some MAC fans think the brushes aren’t as fabulous as the full size ones, where as others feel like they are just as good.
I personally fall in the middle. I don’t think they are nearly as great as a full size brush purchase from MAC however I find the size very convenient and easy to use plus feel they travel a heck of alot easier than any full size brush I own.
Let’s explore one of the MAC A Tartan Tale Brush Sets today.
E.L.F. Cosmetics has several new kits which feature a smoky eye theme for $5. The kits include everything you need to create the perfect traditional smoky eye look (black) or a brown smoky eye.
The sets each include:
- E.L.F. Eyeshadow Trio
- E.L.F. Brightening Eyeliner
- E.L.F. Mechanical Eye Lash Curler
- E.L.F. Professional Eye Shadow Brush
- E.L.F. Lengthening & Defining Mascara
At $5 you’re paying a buck each per an item in the set. Not bad eh? I do find E.L.F. products hit or miss in most cases but I still like to try things out to see what might be a winner and what might be a big old FAIL.
I purchased the E.L.F. Essentials Eyes Get The Look Bombshell Brown because I’m really into smoky brown looks lately thanks to the Urban Decay Naked Palette plus it seems interesting enough for my Beauty on a Budget category.
Was it worth it?
Check it out!
