Tarte Home for the Holidaze Collector’s Set & Portable Palette ($49) is a another larger cheek, eye, and lip palettes that arrives with the Tarte Holiday 2015 Collection. The Tarte Home for the Holidaze Collector’s Set & Portable Palette actually takes things back to days of old with a more traditional look to the eyeshadows that are available in this set. I don’t know how long you’ve been using or collecting Tarte but the square shape of the shadows in this set are reminiscent of older sets like old Tarte The Royal Collection, Tarte the Big Thrill Color Collection, and the Tarte Jewelry Box.
You know it’s a funny thing about those sets. I brought them up for a reason because the Tarte Home for the Holidaze Collector’s Set & Portable Palette, although nearly the same price ($49 versus the $48 price tag on most of these past sets), there’s actually a lot less product in this set. For example, The Big Thrill Set contained four blushes at 0.16 oz each where as the Home for the Holidaze Set also contains four blushes but at 0.158 oz each. There’s still a lot of product in this set but I find it interesting how although the price has stayed the same, but the amount of product has dramatically changed.
Let’s take a look at the Tarte Home for the Holidaze Collector’s Set & Portable Palette.
The Tarte Greatest Glitz Collector’s Set & Portable Palettes ($49) is a new, limited edition Holiday set that launched with the Tarte Holiday 2015 Collection that’s available exclusively at Ulta.
Tarte does several very large palettes and gift sets everything year for the Holidays and they are always, in my opinion, an excellent value for your buck. This year the Tarte Greatest Glitz Collector’s Set & Portable Palettes is a little different from prior years If you recall the Tarte Away Oui Go Portable Palette & Collectors Set from Tarte Holiday 2014 and the Tarte Gorgeous Getaways Portable Palette Set from Tarte Holiday 2013 all had removable quads which could be housed in a single portable palette that you could tote around with you or travel with while leaving behind the rest of the items in the set.
This year the Great Glitz Collector’s Set & Portable Palettes are more packaged more like the Too Faced Le Belle Carousel Set which features removable travel friendly palettes. Yes, you do in fact get a big (and perhaps you might consider it bulky) jewelry box with a pull out drawer and a flip top lid but inside you’ll get three different removable (and smaller) eye and cheek palettes!
Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Cheek Flush ($5.99) is hitting drugstores in two shades for the Fall 2015 season. These cute little blushers resemble an EOS Lip Balm and promise a sheer fool-proof plush application in a creamy gel formula.

Milani Awakening Rose Rose Powder Blush ($7.99) is one of three new, limited edition Milani Rose Powder Blush shades that launched for Summer 2015.
One of the things that set these new shades apart from others was the fact they have a luminous finish! Sadly though, I noticed seeing that effect best from Blossomtime Rose versus any of the other shades!
Awakening Rose doesn’t quite have that luminous glow I’m always seeking out in blushes but it is a very solid, neutral shade that should look very nice on fairer skin tones.

Milani American Beauty Rose Powder Blush ($7.99) is one of three limited edition Summer 2015 Rose Powder Blush shades that are available now on Milan’s website for purchase. As a fan of Milani Rose Powder Blush I admit to not being terribly excited about these new shades. It’s not because of the formula as I’ve always enjoyed the Rose Powder Blush formula! It’s just because the shades they release are quite repetitive.
What set the new limited edition shades apart were the fact all three had a luminous finish versus the satiny matte finish of many of the past releases.
