I wanna glow but I don’t wanna look like a disco ball. I’ve made so many errors in my beauty life with shimmer and glitter it’s downright embarrassing but I had fun along the way and that’s all that matters right? Beauty is about fun and most important evolution as you always have the chance to change your look thanks to a few color cosmetics and thus you’ll evolve and create something new, fresh, and exciting along the way.
I still haven’t mastered the use of highlighter yet but I adore and collect highlighting powders, the irony right? I’m trying to master the use of Tarte Maracuja Blush & Glow which is a new product from Tarte for Spring.
Take a look!
MAC Naturally launched so whatcha get? I’m still waiting on my order to arrive but I did get a few samples in the mail yesterday.
I was hopeful Naturally would be the collection that made me fall back into love with MAC. The little bit I’ve seen of it so far hasn’t really caught my interest though…crossing my fingers my order is a bit better!
But I am liking a few pieces….Fresh Honey is pretty!
Dunno ’bout you but as Spring approaches I start digging around in my stash like a little squirrel and start yanking out cream blushes. Just seems fitting for the season to apply light, sheer cream blush on my cheeks.
Smashbox has two brand new Cream Cheek Trios to indulge in that released with their new Be Discovered Spring 2012 Collection.

Off topic story of the day…
My mum is in her mid 60’s and volunteers weekly at a church flea market thingy. Most of the ladies she volunteers with are in their 70-80’s but my mum still has a way with making friends with anyone and everyone no matter the age gap.
To make a long story short one lady she befriended is an 87 years old woman who recently had issues with her TV. So my mum of course volunteered to give her a TV she had hanging out in the basement. That’s my mum, she’ll give you the shirt off her back in a winter storm.
Problem? My mum doesn’t drive so she of course enlists me or my sister to do all her heavy lifting. I didn’t have time to drop the TV off needless to say. One night I had my mum in the car with me after I had taken her to Trader Joe and we passed her friend’s house. I turned to my mother and said “oh crap I forgot we had to drop that TV off to your friend!” she replied it wasn’t a problem at all but I still felt bad and told her, “Gosh what does she do without a TV? No news? What if the zombie plague hits?”
My mom, dead pan, turns to me and says, “What she doesn’t know won’t hurt her!”
I dunno but it cracked me up so hard. A dear little old lady, no TV, no way to watch the news, a possible outbreak of the plague, zombies wandering around her neighborhood and she doesn’t know it’s happening!
I seriously need to get that TV to her.
I’d feel bad if zombies ate her brains because of my negligence.
Anyway….utterly off topic but I hope it made you laugh as much as I did when my mom so seriously turned to me and said that!
Zombies, old ladies, and crazy as hell mothers aside how about a little look at some of the new shades of blush released with the Bobbi Brown Neons and Nudes Spring 2012 Collection.
I was hoping and wishing and crossing my little fingers and toes that Tarte would do more shimmer in their Amazonian Clay Blush for Spring.
Tarte introduced a shimmery version of the blush in a QVC Special Value Set called Glisten. Glisten was even better than NARS Orgasm for me. It’s this delightful shade of golden peachy pink that lights up my face like nothing else. Gorgeous! Truly a keeper and HG (holy grail) blush if ever there was one.
Needless to say this blush got me on the idea that Tarte seriously needed to introduce more shimmer into the Amazonian Clay Blush because the entire catalog of shades are matte.
For Spring 2012, you can indulge in four, brand new shades including Glisten of Amazonian Clay Blush with a delightfully sparkly finish.
