Soap & Glory Cheekmate is a cheek and lipstain the brand introduced a few months ago. Soap & Glory roamed deeper into the cosmetic world with this release as they never really did color cosmetics.
I’m a little sad we haven’t yet seen the cosmetic line here in the US but I look forward to the release.
Let’s take a look!
Cheek stain lovers will want a look at this one.

Being generally obsessed with cheek stain anything has taken me down the road to youthful, playfully pretty looks for most of makeup life. I’ve always gone the cheek stain route versus powders and creams because of the long wear time and the lovely little pop of color they give my cheeks and face.
In recent years, I started to use more and more powder blush which isn’t particularly forgiving on drier skin. Why oh, why did I ever stop using cheek stains?
Hourglass Aura Sheer Cheek Stain is the Cadillac of stains, seriously, this is gorgeous stuff although the near $50 price tag hurts my feelings a fair bit.

I’m so pissy about True Blood this season.
First off, can it be sex time now for Sookie and Eric? Jesus, every time they are about to kiss or get it on something interrupts the action. STOP teasing me!
Secondly, Robin Quivers completely ruined True Blood for me. I was listening to Howard Stern a week or two ago and he was discussing the series and saying how much he loves it and Robin buts in about everything that is wrong with it this season. Suddenly, my fan girl-dom got crushed and I realized she was right and I was blinded by the fandom for a minute not realizing all the things really wrong with the series this season.
She was saying how there are WAY too many story lines and she’s right.
- Jason and the Panthers and the whole gross Ghost Daddy thing! Ew!
- Do we really need Werewolves, Panthers, and Shapeshifters?
- Witches, Wicca, Etc…
- Fairies, short lived in the beginning but still apart of the show.
- Eric’s memory loss.
- Pam’s rotting OMG PAM!
- Bill the King.
- Evil Baby.
- Sam covering up the ‘rents death.
There are so MUCH going on….I got a headache from all the storylines….do we really need to have an evil baby? That was really the final straw for me.
But aside from that you know I still love me the show.
Thoughts?
Way too much going on or is just right for you?
At least I got me some Tarte for True Blood Natural Cheek Stain but someone has to remind the kids at Tarte this is True Blood not Edward Cullen. What’s the dealio with all the shimmers?

The warm weather has set in. I’m looking forward to a heated New York Summer, let’s hope this good weather lasts because if you live around these parts you’ve probably been way disappointed at our lack of Spring.
Jumping in the Summer I’m already stocking up on facial mists, lightweight moisturizers, and cheeks stains! I love naturally flushed cheeks in the Summer with minimal to no eye makeup so I’m all about hunting out the best cheek stains of the moment.
I tried out Jelly Pong Pong Jelly Flush which is quite a dupe-tastic version of Tarte’s legendary Cheek Stains.
Let’s take a peek!

Benefit Cha Cha Tint is a brand new mango-tinted lip and cheek stain that will be available from Benefit Cosmetics starting June 2011. I was honestly expecting some new powder blush from Benefit but since Bella Bamba just released it seemed unlikely…and surprise! A new liquid cheek stain that’s sure to become a holy grail product for Summer as it imparts a juicy shade of peachy orange on cheeks that’s too flirty not to love!

Ahh new season, new Stila Lip Crush. I think we are heading onto our seventh generation of the product now. So that’s seven shades you can select from yay!
I think they should gather them all up, package them together, and slap a ribbon on ‘em for Holiday 2011 eh? I like ‘em so much I’d totally buy a complete set.
The newest generation is the Stila Coconut Crush Lip & Cheek Stain. Since we tackled every other fruit, coconut sounds like a good one to try out next!

I love a natural blushing look! For years now I’ve been obsessed with cheek stains of any kind because they give that natural, healthy, just stepped in from the cold or just been kissed for the first time look! Not only do you get a glowy flushed look but the added benefit of long wearing, waterproof makeup that lasts, and lasts and lasts…cheek stains are legendary for sticking around until you decide to remove them!
My obsession started with the Morgen Schick Schick Stick and followed up with Benetint….Nowadays cheek stains are far more common with plenty of variety to partake of.
My new fav of the moment?
Shu Uemura Miracle Cherry Blush Tint!

Cheek stain is one of my makeup life’s longest wearing product. Most makeup wears off, oxidizes, and never really wears well throughout the day but you can always rely on a good cheek stain to stay put until YOU take it off. How many cosmetics do that?! Not many in my opinion!
I recently stocked up on my favorite cheek stain by Vincent Longo as there is a sale ongoing at the moment of 25% Off and a reader had requested I review the product after getting it. Strangely enough, Vincent Longo Lip and Cheek Gel is my HG (holy grail) for a very long time now but I never took a second out to review it.
Jump ahead to hear my thoughts!
