I’m pretty much happy with my Skin Food Salmon Dark Circle Powder and you’d have to wrestle a jar from my cold dead hands….but…as a beauty junkie I’m willing to try new things. I call these new product try outs a necessary evil “for the blog” but if I’m honest with myself I just like trying new shiz.
Prior to discovering Skin Food’s brilliant little powder I was all about just saying no to powder under my eyes as it was aging me terribly due to the fact that my eyes are not only dry but also aging now so adding powder around the area, well, it wasn’t pretty…!
However, Skin Food Salmon Dark Circle Powder restored my faith in a good concealer setting powder that not only set my concealer for all day wear but also brightened up my tired looking eyes.
I decided to give Le Metier de Beaute Eye Brightening and Setting Powder a whirl because I obviously have money to burn, dude, this stuff is $36 for a tiny little compact, yeah, serious head examining needs to be done here.
Let’s take a look!
Let it be known I was every so relieved after viewing the QVC Presentation Video that I wasn’t crazy about the overall finish I got with the Smashbox FAQ’s 7 Piece Color Collection.
I recently hauled this on Auto Delivery from QVC because it was a stupendous deal. After receiving it I was in awe over the promo model’s overall look and was every so eager to try it out.
I totally couldn’t master the look but after seeing the video on QVC I realized the two looks are completely and utterly different and the one on QVC looks more like what I came out with than what was included in the how to guide in the set.
Phew! It’s always nice to know I’m NOT going crazy because believe me I feel on the brink of it daily.
Let’s take a look at this set and more on my rant about the model later!
So sorry I didn’t take a sec to say Happy Mum’s Day to the moms out there! Belated, but I sure hope you all had a beautiful day spent with your families.
My butt is dragging today……I hate Mondays. I needed extra concealer this morning after overindulging in weekend fun so I reached for the new Josie Maran Argan Blend Concealer.
That Josie, she laces everything with Argan Oil lately!
Let’s take a look at this new concealer.
Thierry Mugler Cooling Effect Concealer is a product I’ve wanted to try for a very, very long time but for some reason its been on and off my radar and I never actually hauled it until recently.
At $45 this is no cheap concealer and I fear I do fall into the trap of believing a higher price tag will prove a better quality product and in most cases, let’s face it, that’s the truth isn’t it?
The actual product is a light blue concealer which could raise a few eyebrows but I’ve actually successfully used blue concealers before and they do diffuse darkness rather well. The promise of the blue shade and a cooling formula proved to good to resist so finally I took the plunged and purchased this.
Here are my thoughts!
Have you seen Bobbi’s new concealer video? Check it out at www.bobbibrowncosmetics.com/learn
I love how Bobbi makes everything look so incredibly easy!
The new Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit is a new breed of Bobbi’s popular concealer. The formula is improved and not only conceals your under eye woes but also maintains your skin’s moisture levels so your concealer always looks fresh.
Here are my thoughts on her new concealer!
I told you about the new Josie Maran Argan Full Coverage Concealer Pen a few weeks ago. It recently launched on QVC and I was first in line to purchase one. The concept of a concealer pen with a brush applicator and setting powder seemed a great idea for travel and really, I’m just a concealer junkie by nature so I wanted to try my hand at this one regardless.
It has ALOT of quirks but overall I really liked it.
Here’s my thoughts!
