I happen to be the first person that screams, “Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo!” when it comes to stick concealers. This is not the 60’s, this is not your mama’s makeup, you do not need concealer in the form of the lipstick. Why? Because I said so.
I’m sorry but stick concealers are way dated, ahem, I’m talking to you $80 Clea de Peau Beaute Concealer.
Seriously, I commonly associate stick concealers with really bad formulas and I just feel like they aren’t the best option when it comes to concealing woe under your eyes. Perhaps it’s easy enough to dab on spots and the likes but I’m one for judging concealer for the way it’ll make my eyes look awake, refreshed, and bright and I can’t really get that effect in a lipstick style concealer or at least I haven’t personally found one that does the trick.
One wonders if the new Revlon Photo Ready Concealer Stick might do the trick?
Shall we explore?
Mally has a new Water Resistant Concealer with SPF25 which is gathering some great reviews on QVC. I purchased it on a whim since I own and adore her Concealer Cancellation system and the appeal of a water resistant concealer with such a high SPF was too good not to indulge in.
Let’s have a look!
E.L.F. has a new Complete Coverage Concealer Palette for $3. I have to admit that I do believe concealer is a splurge item. I’d give away vital organs for a concealer that works well at making me look fresher and more flawless. I suffer from puffiness under my eyes, minor fine lines, and a bit of darkness so a great concealer, for me, is worth its weight in gold.
However, from time to time I like checking out budget concealers because you honestly never know when you might strike gold such is the case with Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer, that stuff is pure, solid gold concealer joy. Sigh but finds like this are rare indeed.
So maybe E.L.F. Studio Complete Coverage Concealer might be another winner?
Clarins has a lovely new Instant Light Brush-On Perfector Pen. This is a lightweight illuminator slash concealer to not only perfect skin and give a more flawless finish but it supposedly tightens, smoothes, and diminishes the appearance of fine lines.
Let’s have a lookiee!
Since I’m the Queen of Concealer it was only right that I run really fast to the nearest Evil Empire (Walmart) and grab me some Hard Candy Glamoflauge Concealer.
Now I didn’t expect much since Hard Candy is geared towards a bit of a younger crowd. Gosh I hate admitting that but in many aspects it is great beauty budget collection but I do think they are trying to grab the attention of teens not women.
However, I, for one, do not follow the rules and I’ve found some gems among the selection of Hard Candy goodies located at my evil empire (insert the imperial march here).
Let’s have a look at this concealer.
