Of course, I wanted the Muse Palette. Obvious reasons right? But this was also the nude, natural color selection so I also navigated towards it for this reason. The other shade selection is entitled Icon and this has a more smoky look with an added purple twist. Equally lovely but my eyes aren’t doing so well with smoky blacks and purples lately.
This is a slim line compact that features six shades of cream eyeshadow in a variety of richer jewel hues for Fall. The palette’s focal point is a burgundy wine purple shade topped with a bronze-y copper for lids. I’d never thought combining these two shades would produce such wonderful results. But indeed, the shades work well together for the Fall.
MAC Styleseeker sees the release of four limited edition shades of Eyeshadow x 2 Palettes. I don’t typically rave the MAC Eyeshadow Duo compacts as these seem to fail for me for some reason but two shades from this release were a rather pleasant Fall surprise.
If you like Fall shades that resemble freshly fallen leaves do check these out.
I was very excited about this launch because 1. I love Mally’s makeup and 2. I absolutely adore nude, natural shades of color lately.
Yes, yes, I already own both Urban Decay Naked Palettes and no, there probably isn’t anything around at the moment that can top them. But I was every so tempted to have a look at what In the Buff would bring to my natural world.
“New” can be used very loosely here since Urban Decay did already introduced a Dangerous Eyeshadow Palette back in Spring 2011. However, this new rendition contains the newly reformulated Urban Decay Eyeshadow Formula as well as revamped packaging.
The new Make Up For Ever Black Tango Palette ($45) was inspired by brand founder and creative director Dany San’z love of Tango dancing. My sophistication level when it comes to Tango dancing is limited to the Tango scene in True Lies, anything else could result in me tripping and falling on my butt.
Dany learned to Tango at age three and has been a long time fan. Recently Dany was in Argentina doing the make up for “Tango Argentina” a high profile showcase organized by the city of Buenos Aires that featured some of the country’s most famous dancers.
Upon arriving home the idea for the Black Tango Palette was born.
The palette features four shades of Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream Eyeshadows in rich shades of black accented with jewel tones such as red, green, and black.
As you know Bare Minerals has a new Summer/Fall 2012 Collection entitled Supernatural. I blogged about a month or so ago. I haven’t gotten a ton of information on this collection but from what I can understand it is a Summer and Fall Collection all in one.
I believe the shades are available for a limited time so if you end up liking anything I’ve featured so far from the Bare Minerals Supernatural Collection I do recommend checking them out before they disappear.
I’ll be reviewing one of the two Bare Minerals Ready Eyeshadow 4.0 Palettes I have today in the shade selection The Happy Place.
These eight shades are a cross of sultry nudes with a rosy mauve twist. The inspiration behind the colors is the end of the day, dusk and to some extent they do remind me of the end of a long, hot day, just after the sun dips down and hides away for the evening.
