The new Make Up For Ever Black Tango Palette ($45) was inspired by brand founder and creative director Dany San’z love of Tango dancing. My sophistication level when it comes to Tango dancing is limited to the Tango scene in True Lies, anything else could result in me tripping and falling on my butt.
Dany learned to Tango at age three and has been a long time fan. Recently Dany was in Argentina doing the make up for “Tango Argentina” a high profile showcase organized by the city of Buenos Aires that featured some of the country’s most famous dancers.
Upon arriving home the idea for the Black Tango Palette was born.
The palette features four shades of Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream Eyeshadows in rich shades of black accented with jewel tones such as red, green, and black.
As you know Bare Minerals has a new Summer/Fall 2012 Collection entitled Supernatural. I blogged about a month or so ago. I haven’t gotten a ton of information on this collection but from what I can understand it is a Summer and Fall Collection all in one.
I believe the shades are available for a limited time so if you end up liking anything I’ve featured so far from the Bare Minerals Supernatural Collection I do recommend checking them out before they disappear.
I’ll be reviewing one of the two Bare Minerals Ready Eyeshadow 4.0 Palettes I have today in the shade selection The Happy Place.
These eight shades are a cross of sultry nudes with a rosy mauve twist. The inspiration behind the colors is the end of the day, dusk and to some extent they do remind me of the end of a long, hot day, just after the sun dips down and hides away for the evening.
Oh well hello Lorac Pro Palette wanna be my new best friend forever? The new Lorac Pro Palette ($42) is newly launched for Fall 2012 and includes sixteen fabulous shades of eyeshadow as well as a Mini Behind the Scenes Eye Shadow Primer.
I feel like it’s Christmas! What a surprise for Fall to get such a wide range of eyeshadows in a single compact.
Of course, I instantly had a makeup boner (am I allowed to say that on here?) when I saw it pop up on Sephora. Lorac has a fairly great track record and releases high quality palettes again and again and again. I also feel like they offer enough variety in these palettes that they are worth picking up without worrying about dupes in past palettes you own or have tried from the brand in the past.
Maybelline Expert Wear Luminous Lights Eyeshadow Quads are a new range of shadow palettes from the brand available in four shades. At a glance these were an exciting launch as they looked like something you’d seeing coming out of Asia.
The palettes are portrayed as a shimmery shade selection in promo images that offer a luminous finish to eyes. I think Maybelline successfully captured “luminous” here but the formula might not be everyone’s bag.
Sephora Moonshadow Baked Palette possibly single handedly changed my mind about Sephora make up. This was such a great palette full of lovely natural, nude shades of color.
I’m typically not a fan of Sephora’s house brand but truly the Moonshadow Palette is a mind changing experience particularly if you love baked shadow formulas.
For Summer 2012 Sephora has released a new color variation of the palette entitled In the Heat which I quickly snapped up.
