Lorac Private Affair Palette was one of the very first palettes that caught my fancy late this Summer when I saw it introduced as part of the Lorac Fall Collection 2010.
The palette is exclusive to Sephora is $38 and has six shadows, primer, and a brush which is housed in a rather slick, sexy little faux croc compact.
I think the shades called out to me most, actually one in particular, which was a gorgeous plumm-y wine. I really feel like Lorac is a bit understated and doesn’t get nearly enough love, they seriously have some killer offerings and the Private Affair Palette seemed like one such awesome offering.
Let’s have a look!
Ahhhhhh MAC Venmous Villains coming atcha soon ladies! You’re probably heading to pre-launch parties this week or awaiting the official release date of September 30th, 2010. Can’t come fast enough eh?
What’s your fav villains so far?
Today I have a special sneak peek of MAC Venmous Villains Dr. Facilier! The doctor’s collection is the smallest of the four villains I believe and he has the interesting Magically Cool Liquid Powder we’ve all been gagging to hear about and haul.
Ahh beauty budget girls gather round and heck even my high enders come on down.
When you think of roses you may think Spring and that’s exactly when the MAC Rose Romance Collection launched. It was one of my favorite collections as of late from the brand because of some of the interesting products released with it such as the Just a Pinch Gel. The fragrance, the makeup, and just everything about the collection was really exciting to me.
Flash forward to Fall 2010 and NYC New York Color Cosmetics Berry Bloom Collection has launched. Now..it’s not Spring and it is beauty on a budget so one wonders do you need any of it? Some of the more snobbish makeup users will beg a big no on this however those watching their wallets will find this is a beautiful little collection that warrants a haul. Shades aren’t particularly Fall but believe it or not they manage to work quite well for a warmer look.
Curious minds, did anyone grab up the Stila Eye for Color Eye Shadow Palette during Stila’s Happy Hour on Friday?
It was $18 and features a color wheel design with 13 shades of Stila Eyeshadow. Happy days! It’s sadly gone from Stila now but it’ll be back in October debuting with the Stila Holiday Collection 2010.
The good news, if you didn’t grab it for yourself, is I have one that I swatched up for you and did a few looks with.
The Ford twins began creating cosmetics in the 70’s. They may be most recognizable to you as the names behind Benefit Cosmetics.
Benefit has long since been a brand filled with whimsical, vintage-style cosmetics that get the job done.
Recently, you may have noticed Benefit’s evolution. The company is evolving every so slightly and developing a bit of a modern edge thanks to Maggie and Annie Ford Danielson, Jean Ford’s daughters and Jane Ford’s nieces. Maggie and Annie are Benefit’s new makeup trend artists and now make up the power house that is Benefit Cosmetics.
With Maggie and Annie’s influence I’ve noticed Benefit Cosmetics has a new twist and that shows in one of their newer releases, the Benefit Femme Metale Precious Metals Eye Makeup Holiday Collection.
It’s a little different for Benefit. It’s not cute, nor is it pretty and cute in the traditional Benefit sense but it does have edge and a certain hipness that should appeal to a new generation of Benefit Cosmetic lovers.
So Benefit isn’t only about natural, fresh, and flawless now but also a bit of an edge to that softness that brand is known for.
Check it out after the jump!
