Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess The Nudes Eyeshadow Palette ($60 but currently on sale for $54 at Nordstrom.com) is a new, limited edition nude eyeshadow palette that launched with the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Summer 2014 Collection.
This is unusual and quite unique palette that features five nude shadows as well as three metallics. I’m actually confused about whether I like it or not.
Find out why below.
The Kat Von D Chrysalis Eyeshadow Palette ($46) is one of two new Kat Von D Eyeshadow Palettes for Summer 2014.
I’m unsure if this palette is limited edition but I think it might just be permanent. It’s actually a completely new variation of palette compared to the True Romance Palettes as it is considerably bigger in size. I’m both delighted and somewhat meh about the new packaging. For one thing it reverts back to cardboard! Recently many of the True Romance Palettes were repackaged in plastic compacts and I’d have loved for this to have a similar packaging. None the less it is a sturdy cardboard compact with a very generously sized mirror and some fantastic art on the cover and inside the palette. I actually placed my Ladybird Palette on top of it so you can get a feel for the dramatic size increase.

Givenchy Ombre Couture Cream Eyeshadow ($23) is a new cream eyeshadow the brand launched in nine, permanent shades. According to Givenchy these wear for up to 16 hours but honestly, I’m not sure I need my eyeshadow to last that long!
Initially I purchased a single shade which was Beige Mousseline because it reminded me so much of my very favorite Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Sand Dune. So yeah, I was curious about the Givenchy Ombre Couture Cream Eyeshadow formula but if I’m honest I also really wanted this color because it reminded me SO much of Sand Dune which I can’t live without.
Anyway….it’s almost a dupe which I’m quite happy about but in the process I also fell in love with this formula. It’s quite a nice cream shadow plus affordable at $23. Givenchy isn’t really marked at such mid-range prices so yeah, this is kinda affordable when you compare it to their typical price range.

What is they say about not fixing something that isn’t broken? The new NYX Infinite Shadow Stick launched recently for Spring 2014 in nine shades but as you know NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils have been around far longer (and for far cheaper) so I wasn’t sure why the brand felt the need to introduce a new cream shadow stick.
But hey, I’m cool with new anything so away I went to try out the new NYX Infinite Shadow Sticks but I got through the experience feeling like they really didn’t need to fix something that wasn’t already broken.
Available in over 30 shades the new NYX Baked Shadow for Spring 2014 are the cutest little eyeshadow I’ve come across recently. These remind me of little bon bons or chocolate! They come in a chunky square compact with a ribbon closure that’s simply adorable! They’ll probably be a bit of a pain to store due to the chunky square packaging but visually they remind me of some little chocolates!
I think this is an exciting release for NYX who always has such great launches. The brand never does anything small with their releases…! The Baked Shadows come in a massive array of shades so really for a brand new product that’s quite a huge launch.
