I’m trying to recall when Lunasol launched their Sheery Glossy Eyes Eyeshadow. I believe it was Fall 2012 but feel free to correct me if not. Lunasol Sheer Glossy Eyes launched in four, limited edition shades and I’ve been sitting on one for a while now. Why I haven’t reviewed it earlier is beyond me but just recently I told myself to look through my photo archives for the pictures of it and get to reviewing it.
So here I am…
And here are my thoughts on Sheer Glossy Eyes.
Shady Shores is one of eight new limited edition Maybelline Color Tattoo Eye Shadows that recently launched for Summer 2013. There are actually two displays in store at the moment that house six of these new eyeshadows and another display which contains two. So do, by all means, start stalking your local drugstores for the swag!
So far, it seems all the shades are a duochrome finish. Technically duochrome finishes can be fun and they have quite the cult following. I’m not a fan though…sorry, don’t kill me, throw tomatoes at me, etc…etc….basically duochrome finishes look one color in a certain light but reflect another or even a variety of others at a certain angle or different light.
Shady Shores is a perfect example of this effect and finish.

Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow have launched for Summer 2013 in six delightfully sparkly shades.
Moondust Eyeshadow is thee quintessential shimmer eyeshadow. These are packed with sparkle which translates as you’re either going to really, really love ’em or really, really hate ’em.
I eat sparkle on my cornflakes in the AM but even I can admit that these are super overkill in the shimmer department. Some folks including myself have likened them to Urban Decay’s Stardust Eyeshadow and on a certain level they are similiar. But I prefer thinking of them as a reformulated and better version of Stardust Eyeshadow.

Word on the street is that NYX The Smoky Shadow Palette is a mere four bucks at Ulta at the moment so you MIGHT want to grab one if you’re looking for a basic, budget smoky eyeshadow palette.

The MAC Baking Beauties Collection features five shades of Pro Longwear Paint Pots in a variety of new and repromoted shades. Thank god for repromotes as I’d never have discovered the joys of Let’s Skate which was introduced with the MAC Holiday 2011 Collection.
I can’t believe I didn’t haul this back than but I think I was under the assumption it was too pastel. How wrong was I?
