KATE is a Japanese branch off brand from Kanebo. KATE has always been the edgier, goth-y older sister in Kanebo’s brand line up. I’ve always loved the palettes they do but as I’ve gotten older I enjoy them even more since many of the shades selections include some nice nude, natural colors.
The new KATE Crystallise Quartz Eyeshadow Palettes are a brand new palette that launched for Spring. Honestly, if you’re a fan of the brand this is kinda a rehash of what KATE does season after season after season. New method of application but same old shades. If you never tried KATE this will prove a very exciting adventure however those who are old hat to the brand, like me, might feel it’s a bit repetitive.
I couldn’t resist picking up two of the new Laura Mercier Baked Eye Colors. I have a funny feeling I’ll be heading back for more shortly as I love these.
Majolica Majorca is one of very favorite Japanese brands. I recently purchased two of their new Jeweling Eyes Palettes in two limited edition shades they released with their Spring 2011 Collection.
I don’t need another MJ palette in all honesty (Click, see what I mean!) but since I haven’t yet tried the Jeweling Eye Palettes I decided that these colors would be a good place to start.
Let’s have a peek!
Loving purple for Spring? The Bobbi Brown Peony & Python Palette brings the shade to your Spring wardrobe in a wearable selection of six shades.
The shadows are all Bobbi but the case was created exclusively for the collection by Amy Smilovic, design and founder of Tibi.
I’m loving MAC Jeanius just because the eyeshadows are terribly cute. Love the denim imprint don’t you?
What has you most excited about the collection? I honestly can’t say it was the shades that got me hyped as the lippes and lipglass aren’t too uneventful and I’m a little worried the shadows will make my aging eyes a bit too tired looking…so it was def the packaging that got me going!
Here’s a brief babble about the MAC Jeanius Collection.
