Guerlain Meteorites Pearls ($60) are now available in three permanent shades for Spring 2014. Guerlain Clair Meteorites is one of those three shades and I can recall one of my VERY first purchases from Guerlain being exactly like this shade. Actually, if I look deep enough I’m sure I still have those pearls.
Of course, this was many, many, many years ago and many, many Guerlain Meteorites have become apart of my collection since but sometimes the traditional shades are the best aren’t they?
Maybelline Dream Wonder Powder is a new Spring 2014 product that will be a permanent product added to the Maybelline Collection. This powder is supposed to give a second skin finish with a creamy texture and a smooth flawless finish that feels like a powderless powder.
Let’s take a look.
Skinfood Buckwheat Loose Powder is a loose sheer powder available in four shades that launched quite sometime ago and has been part of the permanent Skinfood Collection for a while now.
Originally I purchased the #23 shade to replace my Skin Food Salmon Dark Circle Powder because I wanted something to set my concealer. Later on I discovered the awesomeness of Ben Nye Banana Powder but Skinfood Buckwheat Loose Powder had already become apart of my daily makeup regime.

Ben Nye Banana Luxury Powder is basically savior, my makeup messiah if you will! As you know I adore Skin Food Salmon Dark Circle Powder but for reasons unknown to me Skin Food discontinued it! Skin Food Salmon Concealer, Eye Cream, and Serum are still very much alive and kicking but the powder has disappeared completely.
I’ve worked hard at finding a few replacements and some worked, some not so much! Many readers have asked me if I ever tried Ben Nye Banana Luxury Powder but they were referencing my face not a replacement for my beloved Skin Food Salmon Dark Circle Powder.
So I recently purchased Ben Nye Banana Luxury Powder and I was delighted that it ended up being a fairly nice replacement for Skin Food’s version!
Your mission if you choose to accept is to try the new Benefit the POREfessional Agent Zero Shine ($30) when it launches in January for the Spring 2014 season. Benefit extends it’s popular POREfessional Primer formula to a new loose shine control powder that keeps shiny skin at bay while blurring the appearance of pores.
