Face Powder

I don’t wear a ton of powder foundations or setting powders but when I do I want something lightweight, easy on my dry skin, and inexpensive. Long gone are the days of buying expensive powders because I simply cannot justify indulging in a higher end powder when I know I won’t be using it. I have dry skin and powders aren’t exactly the most friendliness products in the world for such a skin type.
Why pay more when I can pay less?
Milani Multitasker Face Powder is the perfect treat for dry skin and it won’t break the bank!

Smashbox introduced Photo Pressed Powder a little bit ago so I’m a late reviewing this one. It’s been sitting in my review pile for far too long but it left so little an impression on me I was a bit lazy about getting a post up about it.
Smashbox makes it sound appealing enough marketing it as lightweight coverage with a fine, creamy formula that has a flawless finish.
But…it’s pretty disappointing.

I love seeing celeb photos with the old translucent white powder mistake captured in a photo. Reminds me they are humans just like the rest of us…only humans with makeup artists that have heavy hands.
As for me? I’ve done the overdone translucent powder trick myself a time or two or several times. But I still use it…!
Stuff is solid gold joy for creating a flawless finish on your skin and it’s particularly a fav of mine for brightening up under my eyes and setting my concealer for all day wear.
MAC Prep + Primer Transparent Finishing Powder is now pressed! Bless be!

I make no secret of my love for The Skin Food Salmon Dark Circle Brightening Powder however it proves a bit of a pain in the arse to find stateside. The Skin Food is a rather wonderful brand sold in Korea and other Asian countries but locating it online and proceeding to go through the hassle of jacked up pricing, airmail, etc…to get it can be tiresome for some. I’m lucky enough to have friends in Korea who indulge my makeup junkie nature and grab me items however I’m always looking for possible dupes of products that do the same thing and can be found locally for readers of Musings.
Sonia Barely There Loose Powder Makeup Colorless Matte is quickly turning into a fond fav of mine so much so that I feel comfortable recommending it as an alternative if you’re unable to get your hands on Salmon Dark Circle Brightening Powder.

Physicians Formula Happy Booster Collection has us all happy around these parts. I think we are all lusting after that sweet design eh? I’m coming to the conclusion that these might not be LE but available permanently which is good news if you’re busy trying really hard to hunt them down at your local drugstores.
I reviewed the bronzer recently which I wasn’t in lust with and today I have the Happy Booster Powder Transculent.
Let’s check it out!
