You probably already know I’m a huge fan of BRTC Jasmine Water BB Cream so it was a logical step to purchase the new BRTC Jasmine Waterful base to use in conjunction with that BB Cream.
Considering I have dry skin the BRTC Jasmin Waterful Base sounded like an excellent way to prep skin prior to makeup application of any kind.
Turns out it’s more of a night treatment than a day one!

So it has really poor reviews and a rather high price tag but I’m kinda loving L’Oreal Revitalift Miracle Blur Instant Skin Smoother Finishing Cream.
At $24.99 this is one high end price tag for a drugstore primer. L’Oreal promises it’ll erase lines, wrinkles, and pores.
Does it work?

If you’re shopping new primers for the new year you might want to check out Neotrogena Healthy Skin Primer with SPF 15 ($13.99). It’s a little expensive for drugstore primer but worth taking a look at if you have drier skin.

Korres has some fun picks for Holiday 2012 including their new Goddess Beauty Color Collection. This is a good excuse to pick the set up as it contains a full size Magic Light Contouring Trio. Released sometime ago the Magic Light Contouring Trio was one that I missed out on. It’s been on my wish list for a while but for some reason I never got the chance to try it.
Let’s take a look!

I have a great love affair with Clarins Beauty Flash Balm but Boots No 7 Instant Radiance Beauty Balm ($15.99) is cheaper and it makes my skin glow with health and vitality.
I’ll take it.
Anything to ease the dull, tired look of my stressed out skin please.

BRTC Pore Magic Primer was gifted to me by a friend who was quite exhausted listening to me whine about the evils of silicone primer.
Granted, it is a silicone primer but she told me it was magical and I’d feel so much better about silicones after using it.
Hmm did that happen?

Not able to leap tall buildings in a single bound but can correct dark spots, that’d be the new Smashbox Photo Finish More Than Primer Dark Spot Correcting Primer ($42). Whoa, big name, say it three times in a row. Dare you, double dog dare you!
That’s right. It primes for makeup and treats your hyperpigmentation all in one shot.
Too good to be true?
Maybe.
Let’s see!

Shu Uemura Whitefficient UV Under Base Brightening Mousse was recently released in Japan. We haven’t seen this one here in the US but fans of Shu’s original UV Mousse will be quite familiar with this one.
The original Shu Uemura Whitefficient UV Under Base Mousse offered SPF 30 and came in a soft, mousse formula that absorbed easily. I don’t think they actually carry it anymore in the US but don’t quote me, it’s been a while since I explored Shu’s master line.
Shu Uemura Whitefficient UV Under Base Brightening Mousse simply adds the benefits of whitening to the mix. So if you’re looking to brighten, whiten, or ease dullness on your face it might be one you’d select over the original UV base.

Lotree is one of (of many) Korea’s more visually pleasing brands as I like to call them. This is a brand that really pays close attention to it’s packaging and wraps things up in a royal purple and silver gorgeousness that simply reeks elegance.
My experience with the brand hasn’t always been pleasant. The packaging is a little misleading as how can anything wrapped in purple and silver prove awful? But indeed, like many Korea brands the fancy packaging doesn’t always lead to a superior formula.
However, there’s been a product or two that’s popped up at me and became a keeper.
Lotree BB Primer Tinted Control Base SPF 21 is one such product.
