Ahhh the ever popular Shimmering Highlighter, it’s as traditional as turkey and dressing during the Holiday Season isn’t it? You probably own tons of gorgeous highlighters, heck, you might even be that girl that stores them away in her beauty vault and takes them out only to look at, pet, and whisper sweet nothings in their ears or you might be that daring girl that dives right into that gorgeous powder, guns a blazing!
Every year I can expect to fall in love with at least four to five highlighter powders from various brands. Be it Lancome, Estee Lauder, MAC, or most important of all Chanel…everyone has some sort of gorgeous powder waiting in the wings to tempt me come the Holidays.
For the really hardcores I bet that Chanel Lumiere Sculptee de Chanel Highlighting Powder is on your Santa list.
Tis the season for sparkle, shimmer, and glitter. Actually that’s an all year event for me but it’s particularly prominent during the Holidays for many.
Lush Lustre is a brand new shimmering dusting powder that’s laced with golden goodness!

The Bobbi Brown Party Collection should have totally been released mid December, true story. The collection just feels like a New Year’s Eve Collection which is unusual as not many makeup companies are pimping out such a seasonal release.
This collection is inspired by Bobbi’s memories as a child of her mom applying makeup at the bathroom mirror.
I so don’t have those types of memories since my own mother is a very no nonsense type of gal. I actually just got her into applying a smidge of Tarte Cheek Tint.
One of the exciting parts of this collection for me was the introduction of the Bobbi Brown Party Shimmer Brick. I personally always had a love/hate relationship with Shimmer Bricks because I tend to overdo application which results in Disco Fever…! But who can resist this unique Shimmer Brick which is imprinted with a martini glass and shaker.
Let’s have a lookiee!
I live to sparkle.
Ok, we’ve established I’ve very addicted to shimmery makeup. Don’t hold me it against me k? I’m a typical girl that loves glittery stuff and yes, I got pretty excited about
the fact that Tarina Tarantino Sparklicity Shimmer comes in several shades now.
The Guerlain Parure de Nuit Pressed Powder & Blush is done in the style of the Guerlain Rouge G Serie Noire from the Spring 2011 Collection. The difference between the two powders is Parure de Nuit doubles up as both a highlighting and blusher versus the Serie Noire which was a full on blush product.
This elegant powder is scented with Guerlain’s traditional violet and features a beautiful peacock design.
Let’s take a look to see if you need to add it to your Holiday wish list!
