NYC City Proof Twistable Intense Lip Color ($2.99) is a new chubby lip pencil balm that NYC New York Color Cosmetics launched for Spring 2014 12 shades.
I only tried one of these so far but didn’t really love the shade…..so I may need to grab up a few more to test further.
Update: I revised my review because the shade I originally tried really didn’t give me a feel for the product so I purchased a new shade CVS recently and decided to update my thoughts!
Here’s some of my thoughts!
NYX Chunky Dunk Hydrating Lippie ($6) just launched for Spring 2014 in twelve sheer and lovely shades. I’m overjoyed NYX Cosmetics decided to dip their toes in the chubby, chunky pencil world as I really have not gotten my fill of this fabulous trend.
These are light, sheer, and perfect for Spring and Summer lip looks! They happen to be the lightest formula I’ve tried in the chubby pencil world which makes them a brilliant pick up. And hey, loving that beauty on a budget $6 price tag too!
I’m surprised the MAC Patentpolish Lip Pencil ($20) Collection didn’t launch sooner since the chubby lip pencil trend is well and truly on for a while now!
The new MAC Patentpolish Lip Pencil will be available in a variety of shades this month for a limited time. I kinda dislike the fact it’s a limited run because if you really fall in love with these you won’t be able to pick up your favorite shade again. On the other hand knowing how much MAC loves repromoting products I’m sure we haven’t seen the last of Patentpolish Lip Pencils.
What did I think of them?
Estee Lauder Pure Color Lip Shine are a new chubby colored lip balm pencil that launched with the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Summer 2014 Collection recently.
The new Estee Lauder Pure Color Lip Shine ($24) are available in two shades and available for a limited time.
And I’m here to tell you all about how you should avoid them like a plague.
Pixi Orchid Petal Tinted Brilliance Balm ($14) perhaps a bit of an easier way to create that Radiant Orchid Pantone Color of the Year look. This is for the girl’s and guy’s a little scared of louder shades like Sephora’s Pantone Radiant Rush Matte Lipstick.
Orchid Petal is a softer pink shade but it has a hint of subtle orchid to it. It’s a very natural color, true to lip pigment shade and might just prove an MLBB (my lips but better) look for you!
