Fiber mascara aka OMG I HAVE SOMETHING IN MY EYE GET IT OUT! is not my favorite mascara of choice.
I don’t do so well with fiber mascaras. Anytime I used them I always felt like I had a lash stuck up under my upper waterline and I go through the day absolutely miserable trying hard not to scratch an eyeball out trying to get to that imaginary hair.
Well, needless to say Maybelline Illegal Length Mascara was on my DO NOT WANT list of mascaras. This is a fiber extension mascara so it extends lashes using tiny little fibers.
But I gave it a whirl and…
I don’t love Lash Blast.
Sorry, is everyone going to throw tomatoes at me now? I’m not sure I get the hype that surrounds Covergirl Lash Blast and every single variation I’ve tried of this mascara was always such a fail.
But I purchased Cover Girl Lash Blast 24HR Mascara in the hopes that this one be the Lash Blast that changed everything.
Let’s find out.
How the most joyful time of the year turns into a ball of stress and busy is beyond me. But that’s it in a nutshell isn’t it? The Holidays are all about stress, being busy, planning this, being there, being here, getting that done, shopping for this one, shopping for that one…no time for breathing…keep going!
I don’t have kids but I imagine it’s even more hectic with children involved in the mix.
There is one thing that doesn’t have to be stressful, your makeup.
The Bare Escentuals Boxom More to Love Set is a five piece selection of goodies for your eyes and lips that will simplify your Holiday look in as little as 5 minutes. Who doesn’t want a five minute makeup application that makes us look festive and fabulous?
The MAC Ice Parade Collection is a series of lip and eyeshadow collections in a makeup bag. I remember MAC doing lip bag collections only for the Holidays but they have since expanded to include different products throughout the years. I love them for trying to keep things fresh but so far my initiation into the MAC Iced Delights Eye Bag Sets proves a little disappointing.
Over the weekend, I was willing to try out something new….
Imma tell you about what my mates deem a culinary delight, that’d be chocolate covered bacon. My friend Libs is here visiting from London to celebrate our best friend’s birthday and she brought chocolate covered bacon along with her for the trip. Damn you British people are strange folk (kiddin’).
I’m not much for bacon so dipping it into chocolate isn’t going to really win me over here. Seriously, chocolate covered bacon is all kinds of disgusting, no matter how much Libby will preach the bible about it to ya. Of course, she won over everyone but me with it…*shrug*
If you absolutely need to try it for yourself, you can get the non-British variety at Marini’s Candies who sells it in a gift box for $12.95 because pieces of fried pig fat look fancier when it’s in a gold gift box and covered with chocolate. Yay!
In the spirit of trying new things I picked up Pur Minerals Natural Knockout Set, ya know, because I needed to wash the taste of chocolate bacon out of my mouth….
