So I’ve been very delayed bringing you my review of Bare Minerals Bare Skin Serum Foundation. I pre-ordered the Bare Skin Serum Foundation as soon as it launched on QVC and I got it soon after my order. I must have been lucky because mine arrived soon after I ordered but I’m hearing people just got their order recently?! I’m not sure why I was lucky but I was so I had nearly a month to use it and play around with it etc…!
Basically the Bare Minerals Bare Skin Serum Foundation is both a mineral foundation and a skincare serum in one. It provides coverage as it treats your skin.
Interesting concept right? When I first heard about it I was thinking of perhaps a Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Ultra Light Skin Perfecting Makeup style formula but this is actually completely unique to some of the new fad liquid foundations. Most formulas I’ve tried in this area are typically water based but also have a gel-like consistency. THIS is a fluid foundation but it has more of a serum, watery texture versus a gel.

The Kat Von D Chrysalis Eyeshadow Palette ($46) is one of two new Kat Von D Eyeshadow Palettes for Summer 2014.
I’m unsure if this palette is limited edition but I think it might just be permanent. It’s actually a completely new variation of palette compared to the True Romance Palettes as it is considerably bigger in size. I’m both delighted and somewhat meh about the new packaging. For one thing it reverts back to cardboard! Recently many of the True Romance Palettes were repackaged in plastic compacts and I’d have loved for this to have a similar packaging. None the less it is a sturdy cardboard compact with a very generously sized mirror and some fantastic art on the cover and inside the palette. I actually placed my Ladybird Palette on top of it so you can get a feel for the dramatic size increase.

Softlips Cube Lip Protectant is a new EOS-style lip balm sphere that just released in three delicious flavors (Pomegranate Blueberry, Vanilla Bean, and Fresh Mint).
Good news sun goddess and gods this one contains an SPF 15!
The Softlips Cube Lip Protectant is a 5 in 1 formula that comes in a cube design that kinda resembles and ice cube. These are formulated with a lip perfecting technology that softens, smooths, hydrates, and protects lips with a touch of shine.

Butter London Lippy Sheer Lipgloss in Chuffed is a new shade that’s part of the new Lolly Brights Collection for Summer 2014. I think the original Lippy Lipgloss is a great formula however, it does have a very strong taste and fragrance. The sheer version, well, it it is incredible and an absolutely must have in my opinion!
As for the shade Chuffed? Grab it before it disappears as it is a limited edition shade!
The new Lorac Alter Ego Lipstick ($16) got a permanent twenty shade launch for Summer 2014.
Considering the brand hasn’t really done a lipstick launch in a very long time I think Alter Ego Lipstick is a nice, new addition to the permanent range. No one loves Lorac Eyeshadow Palettes as much as I do and they never disappoint with their seasonal shadow palettes but I wasn’t actually quite happy they also went so far as to do a rather extensive lipstick shade release.
Lorac Alter Ego Lipstick is what they call highly pigmented (they weren’t lying) with a long wear and Vitamins C and E to hydrate.
