A great way to start off my Body Shop Vanillas Bliss Lip Balm review is to tell you Led Zeppelin was on Letterman last night. Go on, you know you want to head to youTube and catch it if you haven’t. Seeing Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones as, well, as old men is a surreal experience sometimes. It’s something I’ll never get used too.
When I was a teenager my bedroom was peppered with Robert Plant posters, shirtless, hair wildly waving around his head, and that gorgeous smile on his face. He was such a beautiful boy and perhaps a little bit of a gateway drug into the universe of vintage rock for me. Zepplin, Blue Cheer, The Who, and so many others have followed me well into my adulthood. I’m not THAT old but I have to say, they just don’t make music like that any more….!
Speaking of classics! The Body Shop Vanilla Bliss Lip Balm may be my gateway drug into the world of the Vanilla Bliss Holiday 2012 Collection from the Body Shop and a possible instant classic!
Lancome Color Design Palette in Ruby Affair is one of three, limited edition shades introduced with Lancome’s Holiday 2012 Collection. I can’t believe, gulp, that I haven’t tried the Color Design Palettes as of yet.
I’m unsure why that is but I must redeem myself as they are all kinds of hashtag brilliant! Lancome couldn’t have created a more easy to use palette for novices and makeup experts alike. Instructions for a day and a night look, applicators, and five shades of color are included with this easy to apply palette. If you’ve had issues in the past determining the best colors for contrasting, shading, and just generally had a difficult time grasping the best way to apply your eye make up you’ll be quite happy with Lancome’s easy to use Color Design Palettes.
Lancome L’Absolut Rouge in Bordeaux premieres in the Lancome Holiday 2012 Makeup Collection. Just when I thought I wasn’t going to find my perfect shade of Holiday red lipstick Lancome gifts it to me in this stunning shade!
Everyone always says that red is easy enough to wear so long as you find the RIGHT shade of it to wear. For years I thought that very untrue. I was terrified of the shade and felt all kinds of clown-y in all the true shades of red I tried. I avoided the color for many, many years but happily embraced it when I discovered that warm shades of red are rather flattering on me.
Bordeaux is one of those easy shades of red that I can embrace. It’s that festive shade of red that puts me in a Holiday mood and completes all my looks for the season.
I actually found it at Bed, Bath, and Beyond marked at a very reasonable $8.29. I was surprised as although BBB is part of Harmons, typically their prices are higher for some odd reason or another. $8.29 seems reasonable enough. I suspect once it hits the standard round of drugstores the price will range from $9.99-$11.99.
