NYX The Crimson Amulet Collection Palette Review and Swatches

NYX The Crimson Amulet Collection Palette 12

Oh yo is today not the perfect day for reviewing my NYX The Crimson Amulet Collection Palette inspired by the Dark Shadows movie?

I’m away for the weekend so I won’t be seeing the flick but I’m not entirely sure I’m missing much. Love me some Johnny but not sure I’m loving me some Johnny in a Dark Shadows comedy rendition. I think Burton dropped the ball with this, it had the potential to be so incredibly dark and goth…!

But about this new NYX Crimson Amulet Palette.

NP Set Glam Set Palette Review & Swatches

NP Set Glam Set Palette 43

Gotta admit that when NP Set releases a new little palette at Target I tend to flock to the display for a peek.

My fondest memory of NP awesomeness came in the form of the Pretty Presto! Palette, does anyone own it? I freaking loved that thing and hit pan on it before buying a new one.

It was my turning point for NP Set and meant that I never wrote anything off released by the brand ever after.

Let’s take a look at the NP Set Glam Set.

Benefit Greetings from Cabana Glama Review & Swatches

Benefit Greetings from Cabana Glama 11

Greetings from Cabana Glama!

I bet you think Cabana Glama is some luxurious little island, with pink sandy beaches, and hot waiters serving exotic fruity drinks with umbrellas in them.

But technically, Cabana Glama is a box of makeup and a small spot in my bathroom mirror where I get all tropical and gorgeous for Summer. Believe me, it’s just as good as a tropical island if not better, no sea weed, no sand…score! Sorry I’m a pool girl, not a beach one. There are some places sand should never be, like my feet and other parts of my body. Yak!

PixiGlow Fairy Face Palette Review, Swatches, Photos

Pixi Glow Fairy Face Palette 14

I admit if makeup is pretty or cute, it proves far more appealing to me. I put a great deal of importance on packaging and I feel every so inclined to make a purchase if the packaging proves gorgeous.

Shallow much? Maybe but most makeup junkies can’t deny that packaging seals the deal.

The new Pixi Glow Collection is a Spring Collection that Pixi collaborated with Disney on. The packaging features the most famous pixie of all, Tinkerbell herself. For the packaging details Pixi worked with a Disney artist and the re-imagined version created of Tinkerbell is rather amazing. They took Tink from the realms of cute to a rather lovely sophisticated elegance and that re-imagined image of her decorates the new limited edition Pixi Glow Fairy Face Palette.

E.L.F. 24K Makeup Clutch Review, Swatches, Photos

E.L.F. 24K Makeup Clutch 9

I know, Christmas is over, time for Spring Collections, yada, yada…But I am still somewhat on Christmas mode around here and I still have a few left over pieces of Holiday Makeup Collections to visit so bear with me while I do so.

K?

So who indulged in ELF Cosmetics 24K Collection? Kinda nifty packaging if not pricey by ELF’s normal budget standard prices.

I tested out the E.L.F. 24 K Makeup Clutch and here are a few of my thoughts!

Stila Loves BP at Nordstrom Review, Swatches, Photos

Stila Loves BP at Nordstrom 15

What’s the story today kids?

How’s life? I’ve been a bit remiss around here due to the holidays, life, work, and Skyrim mayhem. I’m about over Christmas by now even though it hasn’t even arrived yet.
Please sir, can we have some corals and peaches for Spring 2012? k, thanks! What’s your dream wish list for Spring 2012? I think we’ll see alot of the “natural” trending as soon as January hits and it’ll worm it’s way through many collections for the upcoming season.

P.S. Anyone see the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo yet. Thoughts? I was a little meh on it. Not bad but I’m true to the books and the Swedish version of the film!

I’m set, I have my Stila Loves BP at Nordstrom Palette so I’m golden in the nude category. A little Nordie’s bird whispered in my air a few days ago that they’ll be introducing some cheap thrills throughout the store including new Jane and Stila Palettes. If you shop their site you probably already noticed some of the more inexpensive goodies arriving like NYX.

Kinda funky to mix our high end obsessions with our little budget indulgences eh?

What do you think of Nordstrom carrying cheaper little makeup purchases? Does it thrill you that you can get your Chanel on and your NYX at the same location?

Speaking of cheap thrills let’s take a lookiee at the Stila Loves BP at Nordstrom Palette.

Tarte The Starlet Makeup Vanity Review, Swatches, Photos

After blogging a few years, Holiday Collections tend to run all together. Seems like brands get more and more repetitive each year with their special sets, palettes, and collections.

Not Tarte.

They had a winning Holiday Season as far as I’m concerned and to add even more joy to their Holiday Collection they released a completely revised version of their traditional “Jewelry” palette.

This year, Tarte’s Starlet Makeup Vanity took an entirely different path and introduced a selection of great shades arranged in such a way that application was a snap and packaging was so beautifully it made us sigh in delight.

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette Review, Swatches, Photos

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette 001

People are getting Naked everywhere around the world for the Holiday Season. As for me, I say there’s no place like home for the Holidays so I’m getting Naked at home, right in front of my Christmas Tree.

Where are you getting Naked? My dog wanted to get Naked but I proceeded to take out the camera and instead he was absolutely terrified of getting Naked on film as you can see from his bugged out eyes. Oh well! Some folks were born to be Naked, others not so much…!

Stila A Few of My Favorite Things Review, Swatches, Photos

Stila A Few of My Favorite Things 004

Ok, I admit, Stila has overdone the entire Travel Girl/Beach Girl Palette thing. We all agree that they aren’t the best formula in the world and we all agree they do sport the cutest packaging…!

And many of us will agree we’ve overindulged in these palettes a time too many. Honestly, no matter how bad they get, somehow, someway, that collector’s disease rides me hard and I end up needing to own every single one of these damn things.

It’s a terrible thing people.

Recently, Stila introduced two exclusive Ulta palettes for the Holidays (I believe these are available at Ulta only but don’t quote me) and of course, I had to go on my merry way and purchase them.

Let’s have a look at one of them today.

TokiDoki Vegas Arte Palette Review, Swatches, Photos

TokiDoki Vegas Arte Palette 1

This morning I got an alert from Sephora saying some of the TokiDoki Arte Palettes were no longer available.

Hey! I had my heart set on those little $10 budget beauties! Hopefully they make a come back for Spring?

I did end up hauling one single lonely palette which was the TokiDoki Vegas Arte Palette during my Sephora Friends and Family haul but now it’s showing out of stock again.

Let’s take a look!
