The Bobbi Brown Party Collection should have totally been released mid December, true story. The collection just feels like a New Year’s Eve Collection which is unusual as not many makeup companies are pimping out such a seasonal release.
This collection is inspired by Bobbi’s memories as a child of her mom applying makeup at the bathroom mirror.
I so don’t have those types of memories since my own mother is a very no nonsense type of gal. I actually just got her into applying a smidge of Tarte Cheek Tint.
One of the exciting parts of this collection for me was the introduction of the Bobbi Brown Party Shimmer Brick. I personally always had a love/hate relationship with Shimmer Bricks because I tend to overdo application which results in Disco Fever…! But who can resist this unique Shimmer Brick which is imprinted with a martini glass and shaker.
If they play their cards right their Grow Luscious Lash Liner can take over my stash of Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliners but first they have to make a few minor adjustments to get there.
My skin needs a good scrub to ease the dullness, rid myself of dryness and flakes, plus I don’t want to worry about the scrub I use drying my skin out further because girl, you know these exfoliators are the work of the devil. I used to be a hardcore Philosophy Microdelivery fan but I swear it was making things worst instead of better.
Moral of the story, exfoliators are great but sometimes they make dry skin even drier.
I’ve been playing around with a few scrubs lately and at the moment Clarins One Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser is on my radar so let’s talk about it together?
Word on the street is the Bare Minerals Ready Eyeshadow 2.0 Palette are quite the hit. And really why wouldn’t they be? I have my little stash of loose mineral shadows from BE but let’s face it they are the fall out demons from hell. I hate having to clean up fall out because hello, how impossible. I’ve tried tape tricks, powder under the eye trick, etc…etc…even eyeshadow shields which are sometimes a gift from the beauty tool Gods in these situations but fall out, such a pain.
Bare Minerals makes some might fine shadows but having them pressed up into a compact, well, that’s the best thing I’ve experienced in the beauty world since the introduction of Urban Decay Primer Potion.
Let’s take a peek and find out what’s so fab about ‘em!
I’ll be the first one to admit I spend alot of my drugstore makeup life with my nose up in the air. I used to be very snotty about what kind of brands I purchased but as Musings grew so did I and I now embrace alot more drugstore makeup however it doesn’t mean that I don’t nitpick most of it apart and find flaw in almost all of it. Sometimes, you do get what you pay for.
On the upside….sometimes you score such a great deal you wanna share it with the world. I happen to be blessed enough to have the ability to share it with a few thousand people a day here on my site when I really like something. The same people who share my love of makeup. I can’t tell you how fun that is.
My recent great deal?
The new L’Oreal Project Runway Blushes. Wow, these are awesome.
I do need a little beauty therapy and a helping hand when it comes to blush because yes, I admit, I am heavy handed. Clown cheeks! Freak out!
Freaking klownz are all kinds of scary. I dunno who thought that it was a good idea to slap a wig on someone, paint their face white, and give them a big red nose, it’s just such a freak-fest. Remember Killer Klowns from Outer Space? That shiz gave me all kinds of nightmares in my youth and up until today if I’m honest.
If you haven’t seen it, rent it, seriously it’s such a scary cheese-fest.
The Klowns are sadistic aliens who invade Earth and pitch their circus tent ship in a sleepy American Town and proceed to chase people down with their cotton candy ray guns. Inside the ship they keep the bodies wrapped in cotton candy cocoons. It sounds ridiculous but dude, it’s scary as hell!
I got off topic didn’t I?
Pixi Beauty Blush a simple solution to avoiding clown cheeks!
