Contrary to what I might believe, Digipop is not the latest boy band from Korea it’s the latest MAC Collection. Well, doh!
No seriously, doesn’t it sound like some sort of band? Ok, maybe that’s just me.
MAC Digi-Pops Collection made its debut earlier this Summer exclusively at Nordstrom. During pre-booking I was super excited to play with Digi-Pops myself so I headed over to Nordies and promptly became utterly disgusted at the display. Nordstrom, baby, mama loves you but please clean up your act. I was appalled at the condition of the collection. One of the things I was really interested in exploring were the new Digi-Pops Dazzle Lipsticks and they were just so terribly gross that I couldn’t even bear to look at them never mind swatch them. The lipsticks were squashed and smushed down to the core, just really a hot mess.
Needless to say I didn’t bother pre-booking any of it because I couldn’t get a feel for the product in that condition.
Lucky enough MAC has released the Dazzle Lipsticks and they are in, thank god, way better condition than the Nordie’s ones were.
I’d love if I had more time to head to the spa for a facial. Ideally I’d love to just sit back and relax at least twice a month but it never happens. I always feel so pressed for time and sitting back for a facial rarely makes it into my day to day schedule.
I’m lucky enough to have very good skin without any problems however dullness is something I suffer from a fair bit. My skin is very lackluster and in need of a boast most days of its life. One such boast would be a proper exfoliation as this seems to revive and kick start my skin. Dullness is fairly common for those with dry skin and my own fits right into the groove.
Taking my dullness and my lack of time for a facial into consideration I invested nearly $100 on the Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment in hopes it would not only cure my dull skin but also keep me from having to rearrange my schedule for facials.
Don’t wait too long to snatch up the Clarins Instant Sun Light Eye Quartet Palette as it’s still on counters and definitely a gorgeous palette not only for Summer but also well into Fall!
Ok, so, most of us agree that the new Stila Travel Palettes are all about the cuteness and the price but not necessarily the contents. I was a wee disappointed in the USA palette and honestly the upcoming Tokyo one is doing nothing for me either.
However, Stila Pretty in Paris….
You need it!
Philosophy starts off Fall this year with a color cosmetic launch. As you know from my past Musings, I’m a fond fan of discussing Philosophy’s break through into the cosmetic world. I think it’s official they are here to stay as Nordstrom and even Sephora now have special little displays with Philosophy cosmetic offerings, a few years ago you’d have seen displays featuring skincare and shower gel but not color cosmetics. Pretty great if you’re a fan of the brand right?
The latest release are the new Philosophy Windows to the Soul Eye Shadow Palettes which come in three shade selections. It’s Philosophy’s solution to easy, 1, 2, 3-sy eyeshadow application.
Wanna see ‘em?
