You know it’s Summer when The Guild starts pimpin’ their new Season. Yay! Anyone see the auto-tuned mad recap of Season 3?
Fawkes was my fav character evers! Hey, if you’re as old as me you totally appreciated Wil Wheaton, fellow geek in arms, appearing on The Guild. I’ve had a crush on Wil Wheaton since I was nine. I mean he was all the rage when I was growing up…we didn’t have soggy milk and bread Justin Bieber types, we had geeks like Wil Wheaton yo!
Sorry totally had to get my geek on there for a sec…
Anyway, back to being a grown up. A grown up with wrinkles.
Damn, life is so unfair.
A few months ago I ordered Mally Perfect Prep Eye Cooling Gel System…remember? I was in wait list hell for a while and I thought for sure it would never come but by some wonderful chance I got it a few weeks later, better late than not at all right?
Anyone try out the new Maybelline Color Sensational The Pearls Lipstick Collection yet? I was fiddling about with these several days ago at my local drugstore. I thank the makeup gods daily that Maybelline gifts us with Color Sensational Lipstick packaging that isn’t SEALED. I hate a sealed lipstick…OMG annoying. How am I supposed to know what it looks like if I can’t twist it up and have a little peeky?
Maybelline Color Sensational The Pearls Collection is basically the newest extension to the Sensational Lipstick line which sports a pearl finish. Now….I dunno if these are LE. I’m going to say no but I’m not really sure in all honesty.
After twisting up every single tube (there was a girl stocking in the aisle as I twisted, she must have thought I was loco) I came to the conclusion that these so reminded me of the MAC N Collection.
I HATED the N Collection. Way too modd-y nude for me. Well…moral of the story is The Pearls have some mod nude shades I so couldn’t pull off even if I wanted to.
However, I did strike gold with one shade which was Coral Gleam.
A long time ago in a not so distant past Bobbi Brown released my VERY favorite collection to date, Blushed Pink. I sweated so hard on the Bobbi Brown Blushed Pink release, you’ve no idea. One of the main reasons I loved it so much was the release of four Sparkle Eye Shadows that Bobbi has yet to reintroduce or recreate in any collection.
One shade, which I’m wearing here, happens to be my HG pink eyeshadow shades, it was called Ballet.
Fast forward a few seasons and the Bobbi Brown Beach Club Collection releases and much to my delight the new Bobbi Brown Metallic Cream Eyeshadow in Pink Oyster is a super dupe for Ballet.
Although difficult to work with, I still adore loose mineral blushes. Bare Escentuals has SO many vibrant shades that I simply can’t say no to, I also pretty much dig all over the more bolder shades Aromaleigh and Medusa Cosmetics offers as well!
On a whim I purchased some IsaDora Mineral Blush Powder and now I’m totally obsessed with it.
