Anastasia Beverly Hills
Ok, gather round kids. Let’s see if we can all sit nicely and try not to giggle while discussing our lady whiskers. Damn straight I said whiskers.
The Muse has a stash and she’s girl enough to admit it.
Here’s the deal between threading and waxing I’d say my mustache stays away for about two weeks time. Rolling into the end of week two I’m starting to sport a bit of a Frito Bandito mustache going on. Now the problem with this would be that my brows don’t catch up to my stash. So I’m kinda sitting around at the end of week two and hoping and wishing the dreaded uni-brow would grow in already so I can make one trip to the salon instead of two to get both the stash under control and the brows in one shot. But sadly, it never works out that way so I sit around and wait for my brows to catch up to the massive amount of hair that’s now growing on my upper lip because I’m too damn busy to go to the salon twice.
Let’s put it this way, it’s a scary sight.
Now I have a cool way to whisk away whiskers while my brows are busy growing back in!
As we head into Spring…wait….pause….
Are we heading into Spring? According to Punxsutawney Phil we’ll be seeing six more weeks of Winter.
Ok….let’s go ahead and make up a Spring Most Wanted Beauty list ANYWAY. It’ll be a good way to pass the cold days ahead.
Jump ahead to see what my current Most Wanted Beauty items are!
Can I tell you, my skin is so behaving lately. I can’t figure out if it’s the new skincare I’m using or if it’s the re-testing I’m doing with the Clarisonic Skin Brush. Whatever it is my skin is almost normal…UNHEARD of in the Winter months, wait come to think of it I don’t think my skin has ever been normal.
I got sick last week. Not badly sick but ill enough to have the sniffles, sore throat, a tiny bit of coughing, etc….I’m still sick today actually even after a ton of antibiotics. Whenever I get sick my skin suffers terribly. It dull, flaky, and just terribly gross. It’s kinda like having a bad hair day only it’s a bad skin week or two weeks or month, until I get better again. For two weeks now I’m sporting patching cheeks, a dry crusty looking nose (oh the grossness of it all), and I’m just dull looking as all heck.
These are the days I need an extra dose of moisture. Actually last year, in this cold weather, my skin would be positively gagging for some extra moisture.
Which is why my little eye is on Anastasia Hydrating Oil.
Ok, peeps…it’s going to get hot soon and humid. I’m deciding if that’s a yuk or a yay…hmm!
Anyway as it becomes warmer you may find that your make up begins to melt off your very face (it happens sadly!), particularly your shadow…oh noes! Why, jebus, why!? Was that dramatic? The Muse loves drama.
But yes indeed your shadow may fade, crease, etc….or you may be prone to oily eye lids…my god how do people with oily lids cope? My big sis has oily lids and it’s a nightmare. I don’t have this problem but I can sooooo understand how crummy it must be!
No worries…perfect solution for mattifying those eyes, getting your shadows to last all day, and other general problems are solved after the jump!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Lights Matte to save the day! This versatile, multitasking cream to powder pencil can be used to highlight, mattify, prime, prep, and conceal all while looking really pretty in a sweet peachy pink color and an easy to use pencil. Loves it!
The pencil is a nude peachy pink shade that wakes up tired eyes, refreshes the eye area and creates a good base for shadows. If you have oily lids you’re definitely going to want to give this a whirl as the formula has an incredible matte finish that’s sure to keep lids from being an oily mess. The pencil can multitask as a highlighter for your brow area, a quick touch up for brightening up under your eyes (be gone tired eyes), or as a base for your shadows which not only mattifies but also intensifies colors. Or if you’re feeling minimal just use it as a quickie touch up to give eyes a refreshed, natural look.
The Muse recs it for those warm, hot days ahead when you need an extra little something to keep your shadow in place or evil oily lids at bay!
Check it out at Sephora.
The Muse is a terrible highbrow highlighter. She tends to forget to attack her highbrow some time and add a bit of highlight to it so her eyes will really pop! Thank gawd for Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Lights Shimmer, makes a Muse’s life easier.
I dunno if I’m lazy or just forgetful but sometimes I do so forget to highlight my highbrow, ok so I forget alot of the time, sue me. I really should remember because I find it allows me to blend into my crease better if I highlight my highbrow after I’ve done my crease. It also lends a bit of pop to my eyes and completes the look fully. Since I’m such a laze doing this I’m ever so thankful for Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Lights Shimmer which comes in a pencil with a creamy formula it makes me a little less forgetful and alot less likely to be lazy about taking care of my highbrow.
The pencil isn’t only used for the highbrow though it lends a soft, satiny shimmer to not only eyes but cheeks and lips too if you so please. The convenient pencil makes it easy to swipe it wherever you need a little bit of highlighting. The shade is a soft sandy off gold with a nice hint of shimmer. It pretty much works with virtually all warm shades but a few cooler shades it might not pair up with as easily. I’m partial to how easy it blends out and creates just a nice cast of shimmer to my brow area. I haven’t yet used it on cheeks or lips but it’s become my go to for quickly highlighting my brow. Plus did I mention it’s available in one shade? No hard choices to make phew! You know the Muse she wants to buy every shade, this makes it easy for me.
If you’re looking for a quick way to highlight check out Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Lights Shimmer! Likey!
