Might I suggest the Bare Escentuals Rocker Eye Kit?
A new season, a new Bare Minerals Gossamer!
Check it out after the jump!
If it was up to the Muse she’s be hoarding away Bare Minerals Gossamer like it was the end of their existence but she’s since learned that she can never ever use that large pot. I love, love gossamer but it’s just to big and it’s more of a body product than it is a face so ado I must skip out on the brand new Bare Minerals Rose Gold Gossamer even if it is calling my name!
Bare Minerals continues to impress with each release of their super size body gossamers. This one is a golden rose shade that’s sunny with touches of rose. It looks incredibly lovely and I’m sorely tempted to add it to my collection.
If you’re as tempted as I am you can snag it from QVC by punching in item number A90488. It’s $39 bucks and comes with it’s own kabuki brush!

The Muse thinks it’s been too long since her last Stash Spotlight so she deems today a good day to do one!
How about a lookiee at her stash of Bare Escentuals Glimmers and Shadows?
Ok, so the Muse is the first to admit she has way too many of these. Whoa. But she feels better that at least they were mostly collected with kits and not purchased separately, that counts for something right? Maybe….
I imagine BE had your mum in mind when they introduced the new Bare Escentuals Free To Be Mother’s Day Collection but hey I won’t tell your mum if you don’t tell mine about these awesome little kits! Shhhhh let’s get ‘em for ourselves and just stick to chocolates and flowers for our mothers!
Bare Escentuals Free To Be Mother’s Day Collection is a trio of three sets that include everything to make your yourself errr I mean your mum pretty this Mother’s Day!
Whether you are (or your mum) a classical beauty, a naturally elegant one, or an adventurous spirit you’ll find the perfectly suitable shade to suit your personality. Each kit is $39.50 USD which isn’t bad as you know how the Muse likes to complain about the price of BE lately. The kits come packaged in cute little hand held purses which makes the price tag even more appealing as you get a cute little bag with your color selections! Sweet! The makeup items included are everything you need for a complete face look.

I’ve Mused Bare Escentuals Glimmers and Eyeshadows but I never discussed Bare Escentuals Blushes. Secondary, on my list of favs from Bare Escentuals line would have to be their blushes.
Bare Escentuals has some great hidden gems in their blush collection that many people probably never took note of, one such shade would be Fruit Cocktail.
Doesn’t the name just make you happy?
The shade is a popping pink that kinda reminds me of fruit cocktail. Every eat fruit cocktail in the can? All that fruit and if you’re lucky a single cherry or two….I used to love the cherry when I was little, it was the highlight of the fruit cocktail! This blush reminds me of those days.
The color could be a bit loud for some but for my cheeks it’s very flattering. It has that just pinched look that I favor in my blushes and if I’m feeling frisky I can even use it as an all over color wash on my eyes!
Bare Escentuals Blush in Fruit Cocktail is one to watch, the Muse loves it!
Tried it?
Love it?
What are your fav shades of BE blush?

What are some products you simply hate that other people love…..you know the ones that everyone raves on and on about but you just don’t understand why they love it so much!?
Jump ahead to hear mine!
Two products that come to mind for the Muse are MAC Fluidline and the Bare Escentuals Foundation Kit.
There are SO many better options around than MAC Fluidline! I think it’s ok but the way people rave on and on and on about how amazing it is really makes me sit and puzzle…??? What am I missing? It applies streaky and I have to sit and reline it…it’s just not that great…..
And jeez if one more person tells me how great the BE Foundation Kit is I may scream! I tried it three times! That’s right, three times! I purchased the kit on three occasions and every time I ended up feeling like I may itch my skin off! Gawd! It’s terribly itchy and it makes me feel like I have a mask on! Hates it!
How about you?
What product or products do you hate that the rest of the world absolutely loves?

When I recently
mused about Bare Minerals Glimmer many of you were quick to chime in about a favorite shade of mine that was pictured in one of my photos.
Azure.
Ahhh Azure truly a great Glimmer if ever the Muse seen one!
Although many Bare Escentual Glimmers are gorgeous I have a special place in my heart for Azure. Truly a versatile color that works fantastically well with greens to create a perfect popping eye look. A wash of Azure over your lids is sure to create plenty of conversation on “whatever is that color?”
Is it blue? Is it blue-green? Is it teal? Is it aqua?
It’s Azure and stunning to say the least.
Tried and true favorite for the Muse!
Love Bare Escentuals Glimmer in Azure?
Own it?
What do you cocktail it with?

Count the Muse curious but she’s busy a wondering. Are Bare Escentuals a Yay or a Nay with you?
Jump ahead to find out if the Muse is feeling Yay or Nay about ‘em!
I imagine many would beg to differ with me and tell me how much cheaper online mineral etailers are and how much more variety I can get for less, etc…but honestly Bare Escentuals Glimmers are a big yay for me!
I have dozens and dozens of these little guys and I continue to buy more as they release shades. I can find them on E-bay for really good prices plus pigmentation is awesome and quality is fantastic. Yes, mineral etailers definately have competitive pricing and variety but I haven’t met a mineral yet that’s as good as a Bare Escentuals Glimmer.
Big Yay for me!
How about you?
Yay or Nay?
Tell the Muse!
We have Buxom Lips so who says we can’t have Buxom Lash?
Not I.
Count me intrigued! I generally like Bare Escentuals mascaras (not the ones with the kits though!) so I think I could like Bare Escentuals Buxom Lash.
12 hours of wear without clumping all while darkening lashes with a rich pigment, lengthening, and thickening delivering a bigger, fuller lash look toe eyes.
Supposedly volumizes lashes up to 300%!
Sure does sound promising.
The Muse obviously needs some! Check back for a review soon I’m sure!

Happy New Year to us all! Let’s hope is shiny, new, and gives us all hope for the best things to come! I’m a bit late with this post but it’s here now.
If you read my blog daily you probably remember last year when I did a round up of allllllllllllllllll my very favorite bits and bobs that I loved over the course of the year. Honestly it’s difficult for me to pick and choose favorite items and do Beauty Award style posts because I have way too many favorite items that I love. For me it’s best to round up items that I’ve used all year and have grown to love. Considering the Muse’s “favorites” change so often it’s hard to nail down exactly what sort of products I’ve come to love over the course of the year.
Being the Muse means that products come and go out of my life at a rather constant and alarming speed. Makeup is like crack and what once got me high an hour ago probably isn’t giving me the same high in this present hour.
Alas you can see the dilemma of creating a list of items that I would award the best of it’s kind. However, instead of rounding up a massive amount of product the way I did last year (damn straight I was excited about alot of crap last year!), I decided to give myself a tiny bit of breathing room. I stepped back, I contemplated, I thought (don’t worry the thought process didn’t blow out any light bulbs or cause any world crisis that I know of. No that wasn’t me that caused the stock market crash!) and I decided that a few things have become really favorite items of mine. These favorite items are what I’ll share with you today!
I hope you enjoy this look at some of the Muse’s very favorite items of the year. These items aren’t necessarily released in 2008 but they are just generally awesome items that I either use daily or have used many a time that they are now considered a favorite.
I hope after you’ve read my favorites you’ll share some of your own with me!
Happy Reading!
Favorite Cosmetic Collection of the Year
There have been SO many collections released over the course of the year but none have thrilled me more than the inexpensive Spring Collection from Etude House entitled Lovely Face aka “Peach” Makeup Collection.
The collection consisted of some of my very favorite items released thus far from Etude House such as the amazing Pore Erasing Peach Base! Truly this was love! This collection makes a daily appearance in my looks especially the pressed powder and base.
My raves and excitement were so loud they reached the ears of Etude House and the Muse was featured on
Etude House’s official blog and later featured in the
Etude House Newsletter which is given out at Etude House stores in Korea. You can imagine my excitement over this! The Muse felt like she made a guest starring appearance in the New York Times on the front cover or something! For her appearing in this newsletter was actually better!
Upon reading her review you can obviously see why this Muse was so excited about this collection and deems it her very favorite of the year! Cheers Etude House! The Muse is looking forward the Spring 2009!
Favorite Blush
I won’t deny that it hurts me so many people thought that NARS Blush in Super Orgasm was a let down. I sob in agony when I hear a bad word against it. It was my ideal image of what I wanted the original orgasm to be and upon it’s release I couldn’t sit still as I wriggled in excitement at the prospect of chunks of golden glitter and a peach sheen! Understandably all that glitter is what makes it my favorite however I find once it’s blended the glitter goes away and a deeper color is revealed that is, in my opinion, perfect and a favorite. NARS Blush in Super Orgasm is definitely a Muse fav (#1)!
Honorable Mention
2. Pop Rose Belle Blush Palette
3. Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge For Lips and Cheeks in Raspberry
4. Sugar Cosmetics Sweet Cheeks in Gingerbread
5. Lola Blush in Mistress
6. and 7. Jillian Dempsey for Avon Horizon Blush
Favorite Face Powder/Highlighter
Seems like just yesterday that I was ohhhhh’ing and ahhhh’ing over Benefit Thrrob! Almost a year later and it still tops my favorite list but I have a feeling it won’t remain there long as it’ll be quickly replaced by Benefit Coralista soon I’m sure! For now though Benefit Thrrob (#3) is a Muse fav!
Honorable Mention
1.
Estee Lauder Shimmering Jewel Powder2.
Lancome Elephant Bronzer Powder
Favorite Single Eyeshadow
Lord knows last year I had a slew of shadows that were my favorite! This year I cut back drastically simply because I had fewer favorites plus I found one that I really loved so much that nothing else came close to topping it!
Now it may be unfair to deem it a single shadow since it’s actually two shadows in one but the Muse thinks that Jelly Pong Pong Venus Magical Pearls in Worship (#2) is absolutely the best shadow she’s used all year long! Shimmering golds mixed with copper created a stunning Summer look that the Muse favored well into the months of Fall and beyond!
Honorable Mention
Although Jelly Pong Pong Venus Magical Pearls in Worship are my very favorite I had a few shadows that I reach for almost all the time and they are truly worth mentioning for this round up!
1. Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Kiddie Pool
3. Milani Wet/Dry Sparkling Eyeshadow in Beach Sand
4. MAC Eyeshadow in Antique Pink
5. Bare Escentuals Glimmer in Azure
Favorite Eyeshadow Palette
Lord knows I have a serious addiction when it comes to palettes. Would you believe at one time in my life I was only ever collecting single shadows? I avoided palettes like the plague simply because I was at a lost how to best use all the shades! Later in life I realized the joy I was missing and started to stash every palette I came across. A hundred years later and I’m the proud owner of one too many palettes and possibly out a year’s tuition of my future unborn child’s education.
Although the formula isn’t particularly amazing I name the DuWop Crush Trio my very favorite of the year (#1)! I’m still puzzling over how three simple shades can make any number of different, stunning, unique looks! It was my total go to palette for sizzling Summer eye looks and worked well into the cooler weather for a perfect sparkling Autumn look! It was a hard choice to deem this as my favorite considering it was up against my all time biggest crush, KATE Glamtrick Palette in GN1 but the Muse decided that she had a tiny bit of extra love for DuWop and thus it became her favorite.
Honorable Mention
2. Laneige Darling Big Eyes! Trio
3. KATE Dual Carat Eye Duo in GD-2
4. Clarins Colour Quartet in So Chic
5. KATE Glamtrick Palette in GN1
6. Lunasol Geminate Eyes Palette 01
Favorite Liquid and Cream Eyeshadow
I didn’t think anything could take away from my deep love and appreciation for Visee Aqua Shining Eyes. After all these were the liquid shadow that single handedly changed my mind about liquid and cream shadows! But after trying out Coffret D’Or Fluffy Shine Eyes (#1) my emotions turned and soon all that love and admiration was being poured all over Coffret D’Or for creating such an a gorgeous, shimmering shadow that this Muse thinks of as a fond favorite!
Honorable Mention
2. Visee Aqua Shining Eyes
Favorite Lipgloss
You already know what the Muse’s favorite gloss is dontcha? I’ve mentioned about 5 billion times since picking it up with the MAC Neo Sci-Fi Collection….yes….you got it….MAC Lipglass in Pink Grapefruit!!!!!!! Although MAC Lipglass isn’t really a favorite gloss of mine I can’t deny that it has incredible staying power, is nicely pigmented, and wears well however MAC Lipglass in Pink Grapefruit is possibly my most favorite lipgloss shade EVER! Peachy, Orangy, glorious! It is, was, and shall remain a personal favorite!
Honorable Mention
2. Stila Lipglaze
3.Lipstick Queen Sinner Shine Hardcore Gloss
4. MAC Lipglass in Cult of the Cherry
5. NARS Lipgloss in Orgasm
6. Majorca Majolica Rouge majex in PK338
7. Love Clover PopChu Gloss
8. Too Faced Mirror Mirror Lipgloss
Favorite Lipstick
Without question I was thrilled to pieces with the release of MAC Lipstick in Kiss Manish (#1) which went perfectly well with my MAC Lipglass in Pink Grapefruit! Obviously it’s not hard to see why I choose it as my favorite lipstick this year!
Honorable Mention
2. Urban Decay Lipsticks
3. Fafi for MAC Lipstick in Flash n Dash
4. Avon Ultra Color Rich Lipstick in Charmed Rose
5. Armani Lip Wax
Favorite Cheek and Lip Stains
The Muse is a big lover of cheek and lip stains! Anything to make her look flatteringly flushed is always good in her book. One of her very favorites of the year was of course Benefit Posietint(#1)! Fancy, flattering pink to make her flush a pretty pink shade was the order of business with the release of Posietint! Truly a favorite this year.
Honorable Mention
2. Missha Tinted Lip Markers
3. Etude House 55 Kissful Tint Chou
Favorite Eyeliner
Without a doubt my discovery of Bobbi Brown Gel liner(#1) was instant love! It applies beautifully well the first time, every time! The Muse thinks it’s well worth your time and it’s her favorite of the year!
Honorable Mention
2. Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner Pencils
Favorite Eyeshadow Primer
There isn’t any doubt in my mind that my favorite primer is, will be, and shall remain Urban Decay Primer Potion (#1). The Muse is doubtful she’ll ever find a better primer that keeps her shadow fresh and long wearing all day and well into the night!
Honorable Mention
2. MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ocher
3. Benefit Lemon Aid
Favorite Eyeshadow Palette
It’s difficult deciding on just one palette but the Muse was quite pleased with Prescriptives Fall Dimensions Eye Color Quad (#1)! Creating two unique looks using this palette made it a fond favorite for the Fall and well into the Winter!
Honorable Mention
2. Bobbi Brown Holiday Lip and Eye Palette3.
Bobbi Brown Shimmering Nudes Palette
Favorite Mascara
It never really changes and this year remains the same, my favorite mascara that is. My absolutely fav mascara for a few years now is Majolica Majorca Lash Extender (#1). Any formula and this Muse is all over it for fatter, longer, and prettier lashes!
Honorable Mention
2. Lorac Visual Effects Mascara
3. Givenchy Phenonmen Eyes Mascara
Favorite Face Primer
I’m run across some great primers this year but I truly adored and favored Make Up For Ever HD Perfecting Primer (#1). Available in a wide variety of formulas and shades for correcting skin tone while priming, the Muse thought this was one hell of a primer!
Honorable Mention
2. Tricia Sawyer Skin Balancing Water Primer
3. Lavshuca Perfect Base Moist
Favorite Concealers
Without a doubt the most reached for concealer of the year for this Muse was the Bobbi Brown Concealer palette…it took a while for me to love it but when I finally did fall in love it was for keeps! Bobbi Brown Concealer Palette (#1) tops this Muse’s list as a fav!
Honorable Mention
2. Laura Mercier Undercover Concealer Pot Duo
3. Benefit Boi-ing
4. Urban Decay 24/7 Concealer Pencil
5. Make Up For Ever Lift Concealer
Favorite Beauty Tools
The Muse thinks nothing can top the simplicity of a sponge applicator (#1) for packing on color, blending color, and creating a great eye look! Cheap as day old chips, sponge applicators are a top favorite with the Muse!
Honorable Mention
2. Bare Escentuals Eye Buki Brush
3. MAC 183
4. MAC Baby Buki
5. Bobbi Brown Mini Blush Brush
6. Smashbox #60
7. Aromaleigh Fiber Optic Blush Brush
8. Bare Escentuals Dual End Smudge Brush
Favorite Foundation
The Muse has stashed away quite a few foundations as of late but she must say that this year she was pretty happy with Clarins Instant Smooth Foundation (#1). Instant Smooth was like no other foundation product I’ve tried and it became a fast favorite this year for beautifully perfect skin!
Honorable Mention
2. Lavshuca Creamy Liquid Foundation
3. Lancome Absolute Makeup
4. Etude House BB Magic Cream
5. Giorgio Armani Face Fabric
6. Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enchancer
7. Benefit Playsticks
Favorite Facial Moisturizers
The Muse was quite happy with the newest facial moisturizers released from Lush this year and she was absolutely thrilled with Lush Vanishing Cream (# 1). Vanishing Cream was this Muse’s ideal moisturizer for soothing her skin while offering a light formula that was easily absorbed into skin! Brilliant and a favorite!
Honorable Mention
2. Philosophy When Hope is Not Enough
3. Lush Skin Nanny
4. Lush Paradise Regained
Favorite Facial Scrubs
The Muse is a big lover of Lush Ocean Salt but she does so admit that after trying MAC’s amazing Volcanic Ash Exfoliant (#1) she was convinced it was her new favorite! Volcanic Ash played an important part is scrubbing away old dry skin and revealing softer, fresher skin! A true fav!
Honorable Mention
2. Lush Ocean Salt
Best Makeup Removers
The Muse has been known to brag about how much she simply adores Kose Airy Whip (#1) but she’ll keep this one short and say after all that bragging it remains a tried and true favorite for whisking away all the Muse’s makeup in one gentle wash without drying out my skin! Perfection!
Honorable Mention
2. Lush Ultra Bland
3. Mandom Cleansing Express
4. Jill Stuart Cleansing Oil
Favorite Toners
The Muse wasn’t really thrilled with the Etude House Aqua Sherbet Skincare line but one favorite did come out of it! Etude House Aqua Sherbet Ice Toner became an instant classic (and favorite) this Summer! Icy, cool, and refreshing it toned the Muse’s skin with a burst of coolness while prepping her face for foundation! T’was love!
Honorable Mention
2. Lush Breath of Fresh Air
2008 was a fabulous year for makeup, skincare, and general beauty bits and bobs and the Muse had a fab time discovering new products. She hopes that 2009 brings a slew of new options to adventure into and with it a new favorite list will be born.
Please enjoy her favorites list from 2007 as well to see what came back this year as a favorite and what made the list last year!
Do drop a comment below and tell the Muse what your favorites of the year were! She’d love to hear all about them!
Happy New Year everyone! Thank you for being apart of my life the last year!
Last year Nordstrom offered the bareMinerals Pure Platinum Gift Set for the Holidays and the Muse was pretty delighted with the kit.
It’s long since been gone though and I’m sure that those who didn’t indulge may still be yearning for it.
Have no fear the Muse can show you how to get your very own bareMinerals Pure Platinum!
Get the deets how after the jump!
QVC has gotten the bareMinerals Pure Platinum Kit in stock for $59 USD (same price as last year w00t score!)!
Type in item number A81855 to snag yours!
The kit includes:
- Bare Escentuals Blush in Posh Blush
- Bare Escentuals Gossamer Body Powder in Platinum
- Bare Escentuals Glimmer Eyeshadow in Silvery Hue
- Bare Escentuals Eyeshadow in Periwinkle
- Bare Escentuals Natural Lip Color in Ripe Fig
- Bare Escentuals Double-Ended Mascara with Classic Black Mascara and Platinum Luminous Lashes
- Bare Escentuals Flawss Face Brush
- Bare Escentuals Tapered Shadow BrushBare Escentuals Crease Defining Brush
The kit is well worth picking up since it’s one of the older kits which includes full sizes of virtually almost everything in it where as nowadays Bare Escentuals has decreased the size of products drastically in new set releases. It also includes quite a variety of items where as, again, BE has chosen to scale down not only the size of products in it’s newer kits but also the quantity of items.
This is a rare gem well worth picking up especially if you missed it last year!

“Are you the Spirit, sir, whose coming was foretold to me?” asked the Muse.
“I am!”
The voice was soft and gentle. Singularly low, as if instead of being so close beside her, it were at a distance.
“Who, and what are you?” the Muse demanded.
“I am the Ghost of Christmas Collections Past.”
The Muse is quite fond of rehashing her past and remembering collections that caught her fancy over the years. Take a step back in time with her and remember Holiday Collections from 2007 that brought joy and excitement to us all!
The Muse has always had a special fondness for Aube Shower Jewelry Eyes, just the name along has been an endless source of joy and amusement for this Muse and she did so love and adore the Aube Shower Jewelry Eyes Holiday Palette in EX02. Cool shimmering shades of light blue, white, and brown topped with a grayish liner created the perfect sophisticated holiday eye! With the release of the palette Aube also gifted us with two loose shimmering powders which came in a lovely little glass bottle! Truly a Holiday Collection that excited this Muse!
Step into my past and check out the Aube Holiday Collection 2007 Review
On the heels of Aube’s release came Majolica Majorica’s Holiday Collection which granted our Christmas wishes and brought to us two shimmering Majolook Palettes that would later become my very favorite shades when brought together with my other MJ palettes. Keeping in the theme of sparkling colors MJ also released a shimmering silver mascara overcoat and a sparkling white face, eye, and body powder! This collection has since topped the Muse’s list as a favorite collection released from Majorca Majolica!
Follow the path to a review of Majorca Majolica Holiday Collection 2007
Jill Stuart always keeps a special place in my heart even though many releases are quite repetitious of colors past. This year I didn’t feel the need to indulge in the Holiday Coffret but last year I did get tempted by all the sparkling, light hues of the Christmas palette!
Remember Jill Stuart’s Christmas Coffret 2007
Although the Muse sometimes gets a bit ranty and disappointed over Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks she’s almost always on the bandwagon to purchase a new one, especially limited edition ones, as soon as they release. Last year she dove fully into her purchase of the Bobbi Brown Pink Quartz Shimmer Brick and although she never truly made proper use of it she still looks at it fondly and is happy it graces her collection.
A glowing ranting review on Bobbi Brown Pink Quart Shimmer Brick
This year the Muse liked but didn’t love the Bare Escentuals Ruby Collection but last year she fondly recalls loving each and every release that Bare Escentuals graced us with! The Holiday Collections from BE last year were something that the Muse still can’t forget!
The crisp coolness of the Bare Escentuals Classic Rock Collection thrilled the Muse to bits and she still gets hyper each time she whips out her BE Diamond Gossamer powder!
A tale and a review of Bare Escentuals Classic Rock Collection
Following closely behind Bare Escentuals Classic Rock Collection was the QVC release of Bare Minerals bareGold Luxury Color Collection and soon after the Nordstrom release of Bare Escentuals Pure Platinum Collection!
The amount of gossamer powder that the Muse ended up hauling with each gift set should last her well into the years to come!
Read on about Gold!

The Muse let the holiday get away from her this year and in doing so she forgot a few small pieces here and there she wanted to pick up! The NARS Holiday Palette this year was on this Muse’s list but never quite made it into her cart (maybe soon) but she does so remember getting her NARS Night Series Palette last year and holding it in her greedy, sweaty palms as she gleefully smiled down at it!
Drool over a review on the NARS Night Series Palette
Thinking back on the Lavshuca Winter Make Collection the Muse recalls her excitement however she does feel kinda let down that the cardboard palettes from this collection didn’t fair well into 2008! But it doesn’t keep her from recalling how truly lovely and brilliant she thought they were when she first laid eyes on them.
Recall beautiful things with the Lavshuca Winter Make Holiday Collection 2007
To this day the mystery behind Stila’s “Asia” Only palettes amuses this Muse…Asia only? What? Huh? Confuddled am I! Even though the mystery remains the Muse still loving caresses each of those palettes as they brought back her beloved Stila girls! The packaging was too delightful to resist and the Muse pleads with Stila please more Stila girls! Some of us, after all, miss them crazily!
Enjoy a review on the release of Stila “Asia” Only Palettes from last Holiday Season!
Disappointment sometimes reigns supreme with MAC Holiday if you’re an old school collector but the Muse does still give thanks and praise for the release of the MAC Royal Assets Metallic Eyes Palette!
MAC Royal Assets Holiday 2007
It wasn’t too much of a problem falling deeply in love with a few items from MAC’s Antiquitease Color Collection. The Muse was particularly thrilled to bits and maybe pieces too by Red Romp Lipglass, Queen’s Sin Lipstick, and Uppity Fluidline! The Muse sends blessings to MAC each day for introducing to red lippie items that actually work well for this Muse!

Is there any ever doubt that perfection and luxury is housed in all Guerlain compacts? Purple was the order of business for Guerlain Holiday 2008 but last year gold…gold reigned supreme over Guerlain Holiday 2007!

I was thinking hard the other day, this normally blows out lights, circuits, and occasionally breaks mirrors, the Muse’s brain is big, stuff happens like that you know. I realized while I was deep in though that I never blogged Bare Escentuals Brushless Mascara!
Blasphemy!
For a very long, long, long, long…very long..like really a long time…likes ages and ages….like years…Bare Escentuals Magic Wand Brushless Mascara was my holy grail mascara. Absolutely nothing could touch the freaking outstanding awesomeness of Bare Escentuals Brushless Mascara! This was love people!
At the time that I was loving all over this mascara it was honestly the only one of it’s kind around. This was modern technology at it’s best! Actually if I think really hard again…I should be careful not to cause a nose bleed here…it still is pretty much the only available mascara that has virtually no brushes! It’s brushless! Hence it’s name right? The wand is basically a rounded edge with very small ridges etched in to capture lashes. To apply you simply swipe up and under lashes! Presto! Gorgeously long lashes that are full and plump!
Sweet!
If you’re as familiar with Japanese brands as the Muse is you will run across similar style applicators in and around Japanese drugstores however this applicator is pretty innovative by US standards even though it’s long been standard in Asia.
You may wonder if this is the mascara for you or if you’ll be poking an eyeball or two out when using it. Honestly, if you can use regular mascara you shouldn’t have a problem with this. It’s a matter of simply applying as you would any old mascara! I recommend it for short lashes, long lashes, normal lashes, stubbier ones, whatever your lash length or style I honestly think this is a great choice as the lack of brushes actually allows the applicator to get under the lash line and pull lashes outwards while curling upwards. Wow…I should try to say that three times! Fact is it curls beautifully well, gives GREAT volume, and lasts all day long without fading.
It’s been so long since I reached for it and I can’t help but remember what a fond favorite it was and is of mine! A total staple product to have on hand.
The Muse highly recommends grabbing Bare Escentuals Brushless Mascara for yourself as it was and always will be thee perfect mascara!
You can snag two for $23 USD at QVC! Item Number A64617

I think it would be even better if they did just a set with Glimmers! w00t! However, this is still such a nice set but the size makes me wince slightly as it is the smaller 0.01 oz pots but still that’s alot of product in one spot for the price! This is available now at Nordstrom for $75 USD.
I kinda dig it what do you think?
