Remember when Blinc when all about mascara primer? Well Blinc Eye Shadow Primer brings things to a new level my friends. I guess it is fitting considering how Blinc has always been about priming stuff so why not our eyeshadow?
You know you’re a makeup junkie when you get terribly excited about mascara that comes in a tin tube! Doesn’t that just get your blood pumping? Or maybe that’s only my insanity but I’d like to think I’m not the only one around that runs around in circles when she sees interesting packaging concepts (if you don’t get excited just lie and say you do to make me feel better about it!).
blinc Mascara comes in this rather cute little tin with a screw top! Rather cute packaging for a mascara. Of course this isn’t the actual mascara it’s just the outer packaging doh!

blinc Mascara is probably the first “tube” mascara I ever used and if I think about it’s possibly the first of it’s kind on the market prior the the “tube” craze that hit the mascara market by storm earlier this year.
blinc Mascara gives both volume, length, and a natural look that lasts all day. As with most tube mascara it wraps each lash in a gentle formula that’s waterproof but manages to wash away simply with warm water and a bit of cleanser. It doesn’t fade, it doesn’t fake or cake or flake, and most importantly it doesn’t give you the look of a raccoon.
Pretty much anyone can use blinc mascara as it’s non irritating formula is gentle even for those with sensitive eyes or contact lens wearers.
The overall effect of the mascara isn’t very dramatic but it does perform decently and creates a nice, soft longer lash look, it’s a very natural look. Anyone who likes tube mascara would definitely enjoy this one.
Who might like it?
- Anyone who likes tube mascaras!
- Those who want their mascara to remain on all day but come off easily at the end of a long day.
- Anyone who likes fuller lashes with a more natural, softer look.

This has to be thee most laziest products on the market:
What is it Muse?
It’s a one step microdermabrasion in a stick! It doesn’t get much lazier then that people! And did I happen to mention I love it?
The Muse likes to think she’s very anal about her skin care and in all honesty she is aside from the part that she doesn’t take time out to exfoliate nearly enough! Exfoliation is a strange thing. Do it too much and you’ll dry out your skin, do it too little and you’ll see have rough patches, don’t do it at all and you’ll have dead skin cells and dry skin woes.
I happen to fall into the “do it too much and you’ll dry out your skin” group. If I exfoliate my face twice a week I’ll end up with flaky skin! Yak! So I tend to do once a week or even once every two weeks but the sad fact is I sometimes just forget to do it. When it comes to my everyday skincare I know what to use in the AM, I know what to use in the PM, and it’s a schedule that never changes. I do it twice a day, everyday. When it comes to exfoliating my face I actually have to remember to incorporate it into my daily skincare regime once a week….what a pain…
Now I kinda feel a little bit less likely to forget since Blinc has made an interesting little one step microdermabrastion stick aka the lazy girl’s guide to soft skin!
What is it? How do I use it? Tell us Muse, tell us!
It’s fairly simple my dears. Simply wet your face and gently press the Resurf.a.stic on your skin moving it around in small circles for one or two minutes. You can press harder for better exfoliation and or be gentle for a softer scrub. Basically the stick whisks away dryness, wipes away nasty dead cells, and reveals smoother, softer skin. After use simply rinse with warm water and you’ll be glowing!
The formula of treatment is made up of very fine crystals so the exfoliation process is quite gentle or at least it is for me considering I’m a person who uses Lush Ocean Salt on her face. It also ha a tad bit of a moisturizing feeling as you apply so the crystals are barely felt as you treat your skin. I thought it was ideal for exfoliating my nose and getting at those pesky blackheads! I always find it difficult to exfoliate my nose and this fit quite nice on the contour of my nose and allowed me to rub it around and get at the area. I haven’t noticed any difference yet but I hope with continued use it’ll dislodge those nasty little buggers and clear up the area.
The product obviously works very well considering after use my facial moisturizer absorbs quickly and doesn’t sit on top of my skin the way it normally does when my skin is dry or tight. I also didn’t get that tight feeling after use like I do with many systems I’ve tried in the past.
Sadly, it’s not all about raving for the Blinc Resurf.A.Stic. I had one minor rant about the product and I’m sure by now you guessed it. It freaks me out a bit to rub it all over my face and proceed to cap it closed. I’m using the product on a clean face yes but it still does make an anal Muse worry about germs and bacteria. However, the instructions do say to run the stick under water after use and wipe off which is what I did so I feel a bit better about it.
Aside from my minor rant above I’m actually going ahead and Muse Approving this one for purchase as I really liked it and can see myself repurchasing it once I’m done. The convenience and portability of the product gets a huge rave from the Muse plus the fact that I think the easy to use stick could make it less of a chore to remember to exfoliate my face!
Who needs it?
- Anyone who wants the convenience of a portable and simple exfoliating system
- Women with dry, flaky patches on their face
- Those who have pesky blackheads on their nose or face that they are looking to dislodge and whisk away
- Anyone with clogged pores
- Women who just want softer skin
The line also happens to include sticks for your body, calluses (knees, elbows, feet), and ingrown hairs. You can find the complete line of Blinc Resurf.a.Stics at
What do you think?
Like the idea of an exfoliating stick?
Would you try something like this?
Have you tried Blinc Resurf.a.Stic already?

Although Blinc is virtually a no name by some it doesn’t fail at creating an amazing lash primer that I simply love!
Personally I don’t see Blinc as playing ball with the big league mascaras out there however they make a solid line of products that deliver on their promises.
One such product would be the Blinc Lash Primer. I’ve been using Blinc Lash Primer for over a year now and I simply haven’t found a better primer and I’ve tried alot!
I noticed in my primer travels that most cause spiky lashes, cake my mascara, and just generally make a mess and by the way what the hell is the point of a lash primer anyway! Seems like another endless step in the beauty routine!
Blinc’s Lash Primer has changed my mind completely about lash primers and made me realize how beneficial it is to use one prior to to mascara. As I said most primers have just created a mess for me however this one succeeds at making lashes longer while conditioning them and causing less breakage.
One key benefit to the primer is the fact that it adds both length and volume to my lashes. Yes, I can achieve both with a curler and a good mascara however the primer does add at least 2 to 3 times the amount of volume and length I’d get by solely using my curler and mascara plus it offers protection against breakage. I find I lose alot less lashes in the eye makeup and mascara removel when I’ve used a primer prior to my mascara. I felt like this would be extremely beneficial if you’re Asian as Asian girls tend to have smaller lashes with alot of breakage and this might protect against breakage and also offer extra length and volume for short, stubbier lashes!
The formula is simply wonderful as well. Unlike other primers I tried it doesn’t sport that strange elmer glue style texture that makes my lashes clumpy and spiky. Although the formula is white it goes on clear and smooths on as if I’m just using simple water on my lashes!
All in all it’s become a part of my daily beauty routine and a real staple product. The primer is $16 USD and used to be available from Sephora however they have since stopped carrying the primer but you can find it on the Blinc website.
I’m on my 2nd tube of this since discovering it over a year ago so it definately gets a Muse Approval for purchase!
Works a treat and does what it promises makes it a staple product for the Muse! Try it out the Muse thinks you’ll love it as much as I do!
