Ya know some guys are a leg man, some are a breast guy….same goes for makeup for chicks right? Some of us are lipstick girls, some of us are gloss girls, I happen to be an eyeshadow girl I think or maybe I’m a palette girl. One of those two get me hot and sweaty but I don’t get excited about lipstick.
But yeah, I’m excited about the Clinique Almost Lipstick Collection for Spring 2012.
Designer Tracy Reese has teamed up with Clinique to create a stunning Nordstrom Gift with Purchase.
This is Tracy’s third collaboration with Clinique and features must have beauty essentials by Tracy including a bag designed by her to house them all in!
Take a look!
Wanna a little itty peek at what Clinique’s Fall Collection, Black Honey is about but not wanting to indulge in full size products?
Clinique Black Honey Glow is a four piece set for eyes, lips, and cheeks inspired by Clinique’s very popular Black Honey shade.
This collection includes:
- Clinique High Impact Mascara in Black
- Clinique Black Honey Gel Blush
- Clinique Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss in Black Honey
- Clinique Colour Surge Eye Shadow Duo in Lucky Penny, Rose Chocolate
The set is $28.50 and available exclusively at Sephora and Sephora.com
Just a warning, the Black Honey Gel Blush is an ickle disappointing as it has a poor color pay off but the set is actually a nice way to indulge in some Black Honey pieces without diving into the full color collection and spending more $$$!
Clinique has joined the realms of BB Creams being released in North America. Thus far we’ve seen BB Creams from Smashbox, Boscia, Dr. Jart, and MAC.
I’ve noticed a few main differences with BB Creams here in the US versus the many I’ve tried here from Asia, these differences include:
- Lower SPF (15 to 30 but no higher)
- Lack of anti-aging ingredients
- No whitening properties
- No Acne, skin treatment ingredients
- Lack of pigment
Of course, these things are to me what makes up a good Asian BB Cream however, North American standards are somewhat different particularly when addressing whitening ingredients, this is understandable and the lack of such an option in our BB Creams can be overlooked but other things such as anti-aging ingredients, lower SPF, etc…is rather disappointing.
Clinique released it’s BB Cream in Asia several months ago and most recently we are able to purchase it here in the US.
Let’s take a look at Clinique Age Defense BB Cream and see if it lives up to Asian standards.
