DuWop
A few weeks ago I introduced you to some of DuWop’s new items for Fall which was a small selection of interesting bits and bobs. One item in particular instantly caught and held my eye which was the DuWop Crush Molten Metallic Eyeshadow Trio.
Can you say love?
The DuWop Crush palette contains just about everything I love about a shadow palette. Pigmented shadows, beautiful finish, shimmery, intense color! Yes, indeed the Muse loves it alot! She sometimes sleep with it under her pillow and whispers her love to it although it hasn’t yet replied…oh well!
It’s quickly becoming my favorite Fall shadow trio although I doubt I’ll be faithful to it…you know the Muse, ever the junkie when it comes to eyeshadow! Jumping around and cheating on favorites is fair play in cosmetic land!
However, right now, it’s high up there on the rungs of eyeshadow nirvana!
In all seriousness, you should probably get out that Sephora wish list and check it twice making sure that the DuWop Crush Eyeshadow Palette is on there!
The palette consists of three deeply pigmented shadows that work at either creating three single color looks or creating multiply looks by combining the three. Although it’s only three shades they work extremely well at creating a multitude of different looks that are amazingly flattering for the Fall season! The colors in the palette include a copper, a cranberry, and a golden cream.
The texture on these is a creamy powder finish that blends like a dream! The colors all have fantastic color pay off and wear well all day long. Although they could be considered metallic in finish I felt like the shadows also had a beautiful shimmery finish as well. Although the formula was slightly flaky fall out was minimal and easy to clean up!
I created two seperate looks using the trio. The first one I used the darker copper shade and the cranberry shade as a contrasting color on the outer v and swept up towards the crease. The second look I created using the single golden cream shade all over my crease and lid.
Loving the lips? It’s Shine Manish Lipglass from MAC!
All in all the looks I created are very warm and flattering for the season!
I have to say that the DuWop Crush palette is definately Muse Approved for purchase! The colors are amazingly pigmented, beautiful for Fall, and stunning on. It’s a must have palette for Fall in my opinion! It comes with my highest recommendation and approval for purchase! You can nab it for $24 USD at DuWop (Free Shipping on orders $50 and up) or from Sephora.
By the way, it totally felt like a Sally day today hehe!
Love it?

DuWop Crush Molten Metallic Eyeshadow Trio $24 USD

DuWop Lash Venom Mascara $24 USD
Hmmm first time I’ve seen mascara from DuWop….interesting!
Overall, looks like a rather promising selection of goodies from DuWop! I got my hands on the eyeshadow trio this weekend and I’m supposed to mention that Jo, my sister, is responsible for finding it. She gave me specific instructions that she was to get credit for locating it at Sephora and turning to me and doing our normal routine which consists of both of us saying “Ooooo Prett-i” a few hundred times.
Sorry, but I’d rather not hear her call from across the room when she reads this that I failed to mention her (her desk faces mine at our office)! Everyone should now proceed to comment in the comment box and tell her thanks at her great find so she feels all special.
In all seriousness, it was a rather good find! The palette is fab but I won’t say more until I do a face with it!
Review to come soon……….!
Love this collection?
Tell the Muse!
I really love DuWop. They do some fantastic products especially their Lip Venom Lipgloss! Some hate it and some love it! I happen to fall into the love group! When I heard that DuWop was coming out with a Cheek Venom I knew I had to try it!
The concept behind Cheek Venom is supposedly the same “technology” as Lip Venom. What the hell does that exactly mean?
Well…..
Lip Venom contains a tingly spicy mix of ingredients to get the blood flowing in your lips which causes one of two things: plumping and a reddening!
In steps Cheek Venom which does almost the same thing but this time around you’ll won’t get the plumping effects but the reddening or pinkening of your cheeks! The ingredients in Cheek Venom are almost identical to what can be found in the gloss version and in turn this cocktail creates a slight sting when applied and BOOM! You’re blushing!
One of the first things I’d like to mention is this stuff smells sincerely heavenly. It smells like a piece of Red Hot chewing gum! It’s spicy with a slight sweetness to it! I wanted to take a spoon and eat it! Yum! I was really hoping for an awesome product but it failed that mark sadly. It does what it promises! After application you’ll feel a slightly warming and maybe a bit of a sting (almost like someone slapped you lightly or pinched your cheeks) and you’ll have a gorgeous flush soon after however the glow is too sheer for me!
The product itself is not nearly pigmented enough for me and it gives a more natural pay off which I’m not completely loving! I’d have liked something a bit more when it comes to the color. The effect doesn’t last in regards to the “flush” you get when using this so you’re left with a very nice yet sheer hint of color from the actually cosmetic side of the product! At first use it looks pretty nice on and your face looks as if you had just worked out, stepped in from the cold, or had been pinched! However, as I said, the results don’t last very long and the blush itself isn’t pigmented enough to keep the effect all day long.
Each pot is $24 USD and comes in two shades. I ended up testing both colors but I’m not completely happy with the results! Colors available are Diamondback and Sidewinder. Diamondback is a peachy coral with hints of pink while Sidewinder is a muted neutral rose.
Sidewinder
Diamondback
All in all I love the concept and idea of Cheek Venom but a bit more pigmentation would have made this perfect. If you’re sensitive you might want to skip this! If you’ve used Lip Venom before and found it was too powerful and stung too much than chances are you won’t like the feeling of Cheek Venom!
With a little work DuWop can have a hit on their hands here but for now it’s just average for the Muse! If it’s natural you seek these be for you! If you’re more of a loud person that likes bolder looks you’ll want to skip these!

Dontcha just love new collections!?
A few weeks ago I had told you about DuWop’s newest gloss entitled Moon Venom. Click for details.
The thing with Lip Venom is you either really love and appreciate it or you loath it. It’s really that simple. I fall into the love group. Some people find that the sting is a bit too much to handle and that’s especially the case if you’re sensitive. I’m not sensitive at all and I find the bite from Lip Venom quite nice.
I have all the Lip Venoms they have released up until now and when Moon Venom popped up that too got quickly added to my collection. Each release is different from the last in sparkle. That’s about the only difference in the glosses. They all taste the same, they all give the same clear glossy look, they all work the same to plump your lips up however each has a sheer sparkle to them that’s quite different. Flash Venom comes in versions of gold and silver sparkle while Pink Shimmer Venom, you guessed it, comes in a pink shimmering version.
Moon Venom falls somewhat into the Flash Venom category as it’s a similar silver however it’s a bit more of an intense sparkle to it so it looks almost iridescent when applied instead of just straight silver sparkle. All in all it’s quite lovely.
It does it’s normal duty of making my lips look just bitten plus I get the added bonus of such a beautiful sparkle. At $17USD for such a small tube it’s a bit costly however I find these last literally for ages on end so it’s quite inexpensive for getting so little product that lasts for so long. I use my regular Lip Venom for one to two touch-ups daily and it’s about a year old!
Moon Venom is mostly definately a Muse Approved item! But be warned it packs a mighty bite!
