FaceFront Cosmetics

As of late I’ve been exploring quite a bit of the FaceFront Cosmetics Collection. For the most part they have had such great sales that I notice I’ve done an order or two at least every month for the past several months. They introduce small collections here and there which also presses me to delve deeper into the brand as I love myself some variety. I also like the fact that each collection isn’t overwhelming but has just the right amount of product in it to get me excited without distressing me over what I should and shouldn’t get.
For about two months now I’ve been trying out the FaceFront Cosmetics Fresh Ink Pressed Eye Shadow after I ordered two colors and I have to say they are decent.
Jump ahead for a peep!
As of now the Fresh Ink Pressed Shadow line only includes seven shades but for a while they had about 10 or so separate matte neon colors that were interesting but I didn’t indulge in, I suppose my obsession with bolder shades has passed now and I rarely reach for louder shades as of late. The silver style packaging and bolder shades of color give these a little bit of an Urban Decay flair which could be what drew me to them.
The shadows colors I have are Beijing Beat (dontcha just love the name?) and Barter, Barter. I suspect that with these shadows it’s a bit of a lotto situation as I got one nicely pigmented shade and one rather sheer shade. The finishes are supposed to be a subtle metallic shimmer but again I got one that was and one that wasn’t.
Beijing Beat is shade that wasn’t so fabulous. I really was excited about this shade but it’s very subtle with a very sheer payoff. The shade in the pot is a beautiful baby pink with golden shimmer. It’s a really nice press of a shadow but it sadly doesn’t leave up to the glam of the shade within the pot.
Barter, Barter was the lucky color as it has a very good color payoff and a very nice metallic shimmer finish. This shade is a rather ideal or Summer as a it’s a buttery dirty yellow.
The shadows blend easily with a nice silky formula. Each is $10.50 each which isn’t a bad deal or less if you have a coupon (I purchased both with a coupon and they were around $7 bucks each).
Overall, I’d say these are worthy peeking at. They are nicely pressed and won’t fall apart in the pan. The formula is quite good if you get one with good pigmentation. I wasn’t put off at all with my disappointment with Beijing Beat and will continue to try out new shades should they introduce them as the shadows are quite interesting little finds especially for the price.

My love affair continues with FaceFront Cheek Up Blush! My recently haul is FaceFront Cheek Up Blush in Saloon ‘n Saddle. Oh my god how I love thee!
Click ahead to hear it!
It could prove to loud for those not brave enough to give it a whirl but Saloon ‘n Saddle is such an incredible coral shade (or bright orange if you prefer) for Summer. I’m utterly loving how very unique and outrageous this one is. Obviously I need to use a very light hand with it as it’s deeply pigmented but boy is it ever lovely. It also works a treat as a shadow too for a fiery sunset eye look!
Loves it!
It’s available from from FaceFront but it’s LE so step on it if you want to haul. I’m loving it, def part of my Summer Must Haves!

So rumor has it that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are a couple now. Ok, so I hope this is some publicity stunt because honestly Robert and Kirsten? Me no likey or approve. Seriously. Robert seems like such a fun loving Brit why would he want to hang ten and do the dirty with Kristen? She makes a fine Bella Swan but let’s discuss her real time ‘tude. First off the girl seems moody as all hell. She’s constantly tapping her foot, rolling her eyes, blowing out a puff of irritated breath, etc..during interviews. Dude, if you didn’t want this attention don’t go into the biz of stardom. My other theory about Kristen is maybe she’s not technically moody, maybe she’s just baked 24/7, shrug…could be right? Looks high to me and not on life that’s for sure. I seen a pic of her and that crazy Dakota kid aka Jane (can’t wait to see how that’s going to work. My mind’s eye has a picture of Jane in it and Dakota Fanning doesn’t come to mind!) yesterday and they were both giggling. I nearly passed out. Kristen…smiling…whoa! Write down that date.
Anyway.
The moral of the story is I’ve sobbed my little heart out since hearing that Rob and Kristen might be a couple. It’s not right. Doesn’t Rob realize the Muse is right here waiting for him!? I cried so much that I now have rings, bags, and a whole lot of ugly to conceal under my eyes. I think I need some industrial concealer for this job.
Hmmmm so I’ll try out the new FaceFront Cosmetics Stunt Double Concealer and see if that erases all signs of my distress over Robert.
Click it to see if Stunt Double Concealer does the job!
Yea well FaceFront Cosmetics Stunt Double Concealer is def good at hiding it all, no question about that. Available for $15.50 USD in three shade selections, Stunt Double mimics the idea of Benefit Boi-ing with a cheaper price tag and a larger size. This is super pigmented so it’s going to hide just about everything whether you’re busy sobbing over Robert or just didn’t get any sleep last night you’ll be reaching for this bad boy to conceal it all. It’s heavily pigmented, the Muse assures you it’ll cover problems, any and all problems.
I absolutely adored what great coverage this offered however that doesn’t mean it’s perfect. Far from it for me sadly. The formula happens to be a harder formula than I’m used to which means alot of rubbing and alot of tugging to get it on and in place. I prefer creamy, moisturizing concealers since my eyes are beginning to show signs of aging and I like to be as delicate as I can be with them. A few years ago I picture Stunt Double as being my ideal concealer but the here and now spells it differently. It is creamy but it fails to blend well without a fair bit of tugging on my part which makes it a deal breaker for me. I know at least 25 people that would totally love this as it’s that type of formula that smears on, conceals, and wears well all day but…..the tugging involved to get it properly in place could turn many off to purchasing.
Overall, love the pigmentation, think it’s an incredible concealer and does exactly that, CONCEALS (in a major way) without creasing, fading, or caking. Fabulous, long wearing formula too! However, a creamy formula would make this one a winner. Needs a bit of work FaceFront. Like it but not loving it. Plenty of perks with it’s small price tag and large size but it needs a bit of work in the Muse’s opinion.
Well..since I don’t have concealer I might as well give up on Robert and maybe take on Shia Labeouf? He’d be ideal for trips to Walgreens!
What do you think?
Anyone try FaceFront Stunt Double Concealer?
Is it love?

The Muse is always up for concealer as you know! So when I seen the new FaceFront Cosmetics burst pop in my inbox with their brand new concealer I was kinda excited.
Click it for the babblings about FaceFront Stunt Double Concealer!
The description says it’s a creamy, hydrating, and aqua smooth formula. I dunno what aqua smooth is but they had me at creamy and hydrating. The Muse’s eyes are soooooo dry!
Only four shades are available which could be a deal breaker for some. The shades run from lightest, medium, darker, and a green to conceal redness. I’m perfectly ok with the color selections available but some might find it a bit discouraging since the darkest shade isn’t too dark at all however if you’re a lighter or a medium you should find a good match.
5g jar is $15.50 USD and Free Shipping using promo code STUNTDOUBLE. I think I’m going to order one, count me curious. I love testing out concealers so might as well!
Review to come soonish!

Step right up for a Beauty Battle first here at Musings! This is the first time I’ve paired a posh line of cosmetic with a no name e-tailer brand of cosmetic. Is this kind of competition even fair? Probably not but let’s see who can win this Beauty Battle! It’s NARS vs FaceFront, to the death!
Let the battle begin!
Pairing up NARS Blush with FaceFront Cosmetics isn’t exactly a fair fight if we get right down to it but since discovering FaceFront Cosmetics Cheek UP Blush in I’m Faunally Yours I couldn’t help but think what a amazing dupe it was for NARS Angelika. Hmmmm I hear the call of a Beauty Battle!
It deserves to be mentioned the shades are almost identical down to the slight shimmer each contains. The color is a delightful bubblegum pink that gives cheeks a nice flush. Considering the shade is a great dupe we’ll have to compare size, blending skills, packaging, and price.
Weighing in at 42oz in a loose powder form, I’m Faunally Yours is $16 USD. The blush is pigmented, has a nice shimmery finish, and comes in a decent enough packaging but nothing too fancy. It blends beautifully and leaves behind a cool pink color on cheeks that’s quite flattering, flirty, and very girlish. Taking packaging into consideration I’d say it’s a tad on the cheap side but nothing terrible and I’ve seen far worst. Considering what a cult following NARS has it’s difficult to put a small name e-tailer against such a high street brand but we shall see who knocks out who!
Running up on the wings of I’m Faunally Yours is NARS Angelika. All NARS fans agree the packaging does have a certain chic feels but also annoys us a fair bit as well since it quickly becomes a mess. At $25 USD it’s not cheap and it’s no where near the same size as FaceFront Cheek UP with a size of 0.16oz. That small size could throw this battle as honestly we can all agree the better deal lays elsewhere.
Packaging wise neither wins the game that’s for sure! Color wise they are both a winner plus pigmentation, quality of the blush, and ease of blending they both cover that base. The real punch comes from FaceFront Cosmetics Cheek UP’s price tag. At $16 USD for a nice size it’s obviously the better bargain which brings it in for a win here. Sorry NARS, FaceFront has you here! As much of NARS fan girl I am, I do so admit the bargain lays with FaceFront plus it even has a tad more pop than NARS Angelika.
The Muse awards this Beauty Battle to FaceFront Cheek UP Blush, best bargain price and a killer blush with plenty of pop!
Loves it!
