Rawrrr! Crazy cat people take note, MAC Fabulous Felines launches next week (August 26th) or in some areas you have been privy to a pre-launch.
Anyone see this collection up close and personal yet? I got a few pieces to play with but haven’t seen it all as of yet. I called MAC today and asked if they are pre-launching and I got some dippy on the phone telling me, “Oh yeah, that collection is out in September…” Obviously she’s on another planet that takes one month to travel to…Jebus who educates these people. Please for the love of the Makeup Gods, don’t let your MAC stores or counters tell you this is launching in September….set your calenders for next week.
MAC Fabulous Felines launches in three collections that are themed around three different cats. Minds you, some of the looks MAC did with the collection aren’t cat-like but more along the lines of mimicking the colors of the different types of cats. So if you happen to be a crazy cat lady that’s expecting some sort of cat looks, you might be disappointed. I know cat people, I own a cat but I don’t consider myself a cat person, I like ragging on you weirdos. Kiddin’, kiddin’!
Moral of this story is here’s a little sneaky peek of MAC Fabulous Felines and later when the collection launches in September (HA, little joke there) ahem…next WEEK…I’ll show you the rest of my purchases.

Blame Gaga for the incredible success and quick sell out of MAC Viva Glam this year. It was an utterly unwearable shade of nude pink in my opinion but it was one of the quickest shades to sell out in recent years of Viva Glam for me.
And to think I was all about Cyndi’s shade rather than Gaga’s!
Hardcore fans might be interested to know that MAC Viva Glam Make Up Bags for both Lady Gaga and Cyndi Lauper will be released shortly.
Aptly named Dare to Wear is a collection of crazily vibrant shades of MAC eyes shadows and lip glosses, daring you to wear such bold shades.
MAC Dare to Wear is what MAC C-Shock was to me three years ago, a reintroduction of what MAC does best, awe aspiring shades of shadow.
- A. I’m getting too old.
- B. I hated the finish on most of these.
- C. I’m off the MAC bandwagon
Because I totally did not roll over and play dead when I saw this collection pop up. I’m in this brown eyeshadow stage right now, a place where I never thought I’d be, and aquas, greens, and my normal crazy shades of color are simply not as appealing as more neutral shades lately so maybe that’s what triggered my less than stellar excitement upon seeing Dare to Wear. Plus I kinda felt like the mattes and frost finishes prevented me from bothering as well…
I did get a few MAC Dare to Wear shades to try out.
Cheers! New MAC Lipglasses! How fun! The MAC Dare to Wear Collection features six new Lipglasses in an interesting formula.
Did you haul them?
Contrary to what I might believe, Digipop is not the latest boy band from Korea it’s the latest MAC Collection. Well, doh!
No seriously, doesn’t it sound like some sort of band? Ok, maybe that’s just me.
MAC Digi-Pops Collection made its debut earlier this Summer exclusively at Nordstrom. During pre-booking I was super excited to play with Digi-Pops myself so I headed over to Nordies and promptly became utterly disgusted at the display. Nordstrom, baby, mama loves you but please clean up your act. I was appalled at the condition of the collection. One of the things I was really interested in exploring were the new Digi-Pops Dazzle Lipsticks and they were just so terribly gross that I couldn’t even bear to look at them never mind swatch them. The lipsticks were squashed and smushed down to the core, just really a hot mess.
Needless to say I didn’t bother pre-booking any of it because I couldn’t get a feel for the product in that condition.
Lucky enough MAC has released the Dazzle Lipsticks and they are in, thank god, way better condition than the Nordie’s ones were.
