When you’ve been around a brand for a while it’s awful refreshing when they veer off the well used path and bring out something new. This is the case with MAC Casual Colour Lip & Cheek Colour Pots but really are they new?
MAC is a sub brand of the Estee Lauder Group as is Bobbi Brown, seeing my point?
Let’s have a look at these!
For a brand that created cult favorites like the Shadestick and Greasepaint Sticks one has to question what the hell happened when MAC created their new MAC Shade & Smoke Shadow/Liner Pencils.
This formula ventures so out the norm of stick pencils I’ve tried from them in the past I really had to question whether it was from MAC at all.
This is another example of how MAC has been going downhill with their quality lately…!
I dunno about you but I definitely have a certain affection for pretty powders. But I have grown up a little and my makeup life has matured to a point where I’ll analyze said pretty powder and ask myself a few questions prior to a purchase.
- Do I really need this powder?
- Am I just buying it because it’s pretty?
- Will I actually use it or will it sit in my stash unused merely brought out on special occasions to stare at?
Somethings you have to be a little grown up about these things but sadly, this technique doesn’t always work and I become overwhelmed by cute powders like the new MAC Beth Ditto Powder to the People, polka dots, ahhhhh!
Sometimes it’s tough resisting but in this case, you probably won’t need to dish out $38.
The new MAC Beth Ditto Collection will be launching June 7th on counter and online at maccosmetics.com. Anything you’re wanting from it?
This whimsically polka dotted collection features brand new MAC Shade & Smoke Shadow/Liner as well as essential fan favs like Pro Longwear Lipcremes, Nail Lacquers, and more!
To celebrate the launch here’s a little Q&A with Beth Ditto, some behind the scene photos of her shoot with MAC, and she shares her favorite MAC pick, obvious one right? Can you guess?
Take a look!
