Oh MAC me over, I’m all I wanna be, a walking study in demonology HEYYYYYYY! \m/ rock on!
MAC Fall 2011 starts with the new MAC Me Over! Collection that was inspired by the November MAC Me Over! contest which was a search far and wide for the essence of what makes MAC people beautiful. An online contest ensued that asked fans to submit a photo or video finishing the following statement, “MAC Me Over! because….”
Six individuals truly stood out and were selected to fly out New York City and experience a superstar level photo shoot and collaborative makeover with industry luminaries such as world-renowned photographer Michael Thompson, A-list stylist Paul Cavaco, hair guru Serge Normant, makeup artist Brigitte Reiss-Andersen, and of course, our very own Creative Director of M·A·C Cosmetics Worldwide, James Gager, who oversaw the project from its inception and hand-selected the winners.
In the end MAC teaches us yet again that makeup is all about YOU whoever you are. Boy, girl, black white, old, young, man, woman…!
MAC Me Over! embodies the spirit of all makeup lovers with three different Fall looks and new limited edition shades including old favorites.
Show of hands who’s excited about MAC Colourizations?
This is a selection of eight Pro Palette Eyeshadows that contain two shades of shadow each.
At first I wasn’t particularly excited about these as I was thinking Suite Array which was great packaging but really a poor formula. However, flash forward and the idea of a dual shadow palette that included two full size MAC Shadows at quite a nice price…well, I was quickly convinced these sounded like a treat.
MAC Semi-Precious releases this week. I’m really hyped even though I already previewed the collection a few weeks ago and wasn’t particularly excited I’m still interested in the brushes as they look incredible.
I will tell you one thing that got me excited, The Mineralize Skinfinish in Rose Quartz.
