I gotta tell you something….
I hate Sherbet.
I can’t understand what can possibly be considered delicious about a less than glorified version of ice cream. I mean if I want to treat myself I’m going for ice cream…it’s creamy, it’s sugary, it’s delicious! Not Sherbet which plays at being a tasty icy treat but turns into a gross fruity milky I dunno what…
But Philosophy, well, Philosophy can convince me to enjoy Sherbet again!
I’ve never gotten an actual facial peel but I still remember to this very day the episode of Sex and the City when Samantha had gotten one.
Now Samantha was trying to de-age her skin a fair bit so I’m guessing she was looking to diminish fine lines, brighten her skin tone up, and perhaps fight dull, tried skin or uneven skin tone. These would be many of the reasons you’d consider a facial peel.
However, from what I’ve read, facial peels are pretty darn harsh on the skin causing all sorts of irritation and redness because essentially it’s peeling away one layer to reveal a fresher layer beneath.
But my skin isn’t an onion…I don’t have layers you can peel away at will. I like my layers thanks so much and I’m not out to remove any of them…maybe polish them up a bit, maybe exfoliate them, but literally burn them off using chemicals? No thanks!
Philosophy The Microdelivery Purifying Peel is Philosophy’s cure to a gentle at home facial peel.
Does it work?
In the early stages of Philosophy’s Shower Gel life, there wasn’t alot of scents to choose from and the ones they did have weren’t nearly as fantastic as the current releases. Indeed, you’ve heard this all before from me but I can’t begin to tell you how Philosophy has evolved as some of their earlier releases weren’t anything like what we experience from them in the realms of shower gel today.
I’m mentioning all this because most recent release of Philosophy Salt Water Taffy Shower Gels has been a bit of a bust for me and I feel like I’m doing a rewind back to Philosophy’s past with some of these as they aren’t up to my current standards of what their shower gel should smell like!
Kinda sorta wasn’t all that impressed with Philosophy Salt Water Taffy Shower Gels that I recently hauled.
But…doesn’t stop me wanting to babble ’bout ’em!
Lord knows Philosophy The Sweet Shoppe is far from new but I’m just now getting my sweaty little hands on it.
Released in July of last year, this sweet little set catered to those of us with a bit of a sweet tooth with scents like bubble gum and red fishy to give our candy cravings a little run for our money.
I long since forgotten about it but recently decided I needed to have it after I seen it online.
