Good Morning!
Today, you should see faster load times around here. Sorry the past few days have been hell around here and the site has been loading like…dare I say? Ass!
Few things have been tweaked and looks like Musings will behave itself once again. Let me know if you have any problems, issues, hiccups, or farts.
On to the makeup!
I’ve been testing out the new Philosophy Divine Long-Wear Creamy Eye Color recently and I gotta say I think I may be in love. I remember when I started Musings and had a slew of posts about my hate of cream shadows but I’ve somehow grow into them or they have grow on me or something along those lines.
QVC has a trio of these fine shadows available (when they had the duos they sold out rather quickly).
Philosophy packaged up their new Divine Long-Wear Creamy Eye Color in a Cool or a Warm Trio and offered ‘em too to QVC divas far and wide for $43.
Mmm after shipping you’re looking at around $15 per shadow so not sure if you’re wanting to indulge all that much however I will say they are kinda rockin’ my world and if you’re a lover of cream shadows you may want to indulge. Because hey, I know what you’re thinking! “Well, ummm they probably suck if they are packaging them up in trios right?” No! They are kinda brilliant!

P.S. One more sleep until the next eppy of the Guild! I loved the first eppy but I’m a little disappointed that we aren’t going to have hawt Codex and Fawkes action. I really don’t love the idea of the Zaboo and Codex whiny relationship!
Philosophy has been busy releasing “Shower Gels of the Month” on QVC. The first one, which I missed (kicking self), was Lively Lemon Coconut back in June.
And for July we have Tropical Daiquiri! Seriously, what’s better than a mocktail in our shower that won’t give us a hangover in the AM?
Check it!

Dark spot treatments seem to be taking the skincare world by storm at the moment. Everyone is busy creating some sort of system, skincare, serum, lotion, or potion to fight aging spots, hyper pigmentation, or sun damage.
The newest one to hit the market is the Philosophy Miracle Worker Dark Spot Correcting System. I happen to be a big supporter and huge fan of the Miracle Worker Pads so you know I’ll be trying this one out ASAP.

I resisted the allure of Philosophy’s Snowcone Stand Set last night. I had it in my cart at Sephora and I took it out and I put it back in and I took it out and I put it back in….
The struggle lasted the better part of 30 minutes as I browsed around the store but I finally convinced myself I don’t need more Philosophy Shower Gels.
Bad Muse, bad!
But now I have to avoid Ulta because….

Animal crackers in my soup, monkeys and rabbits loop the loop….!
My mum is really keen on telling a story about my sister who was absolutely in love with animal crackers when she was a little girl. The story basically goes that my mum would buy her those little Barnum’s Animal Crackers, you know the ones in a box with a little string handle? The string on the box was pretty delicate and would easily break when you opened the box and according to my mum my sister would go ballistic if the string broke. I’m talking sobbing, throwing herself on the floor, total, full out temper tantrum.
Over a string…
Who knew?
Ha!
Anyway….that’s my story for today.
Speaking of Animal Crackers, Philosophy takes us to the Circus for Fall with a new Animal Cracker Shower Gel and Lipshine plus plenty of other delicious little goodies.
Check ‘em out with me?

I don’t have a problem with mineral oil but its been known to be the work of the devil for some skin types and if you’re a fan of cleansing oil it does prove challenging to find one that’s lacking the ingredient.
Philosophy Purity Made Simple Cleansing Oil is a brand new cleansing oil from the brand that’s mineral oil free!

Alright who was it that complained to Philosophy about their fruity, foody Shower Gels? Someone must have did it because they are pulling out all the stops with their new line of shower gels in rather complex floral and fruit combinations.
Hey, I liked the foody, sweet stuff….Sour Apple, Pink Layer Cake, Apple Pie…don’t go changing to try and please everyone…just worry about pleasin’ me.
Kiddin’! If you were always hoping that Philosophy would get on board with a mature blend of shower gels, well, now is your chance to experience them!

Coconuts….what goes good with coconuts? Normally they are paired up with pineapple, vanilla, lime…these are some traditional notes I’ve seen mixed with coconut when it comes to my favorite fragrances or body products but have you ever seen coconut and lemon mixed?
Not I.

I’ve been a virtual auntie to baby Lucy, born to my dear reader Dina a few months ago! Eep and I still haven’t seen her yet in person! Promise D, we meet up for din and shopping real soon or maybe we should just wait a few years for Lucy to develop into a beauty junkie like us!? Naaa knowing you she is already at that point of her life already! Gotta start ‘em young!
Needless to say, new and old mum’s are as passionate about good beauty as the rest of us plus I imagine those with daughters are ever so eager to introduce them to the dark side aka the beauty junkie lifestyle.
Yup the moral of the story is start ‘em young and why not start them with a best loved brand like Philosophy?
Philosophy Baby is a selection of natural bath and body goodies for newly born babes and their mum’s to enjoy!

Cleansing Oils in a Western market, the final frontier, these are the voyages of cleansing oil in the US….
Asian Cleansing Oils are plentiful. From drugstores to high end counters, from cheap as chips to expensive as bloody hell, you’ll find a cleansing oil to suit any taste in the Eastern market.
Sadly, the US market seems to be the final frontier when it comes to cleansing oils as we have a few but most are from mid to high end brands and it’s not the huge selection you’d see in Asia. Cleansing oils are still yet an unknown, unexplored cleansing option for most American women.
I still haven’t figured out why the hell that is.
Lucky enough, Philosophy does take on the vast unknown and comes out with new Purity Made Simple Facial Cleansing Oil.

I used to swear to the skincare Gods that Philosophy The Microdelivery Exfoliating Wash was the bestest thing since the wheel was created. Sadly, in my later years I noticed that both the wash and Purity was drying my face out. So, Purity Made Simple was causing a whole heck of alot of not so simple problems with my dry skin and so was that damn Microdelivery Exfoliating Wash.
However, if you are still a big fan of The Microdelivery Exfoliating Wash you might want to check out the reformulated version for your body!
