Start hauling peeps!
The Muse has a deep, affectionate relationship with MAC Technakohl.
Is it me or does it irritate the population terribly that Technakohl wears down so quickly? I actually find the product useless once it’s worn down to a stubby little smidgelet of a pencil. The sharp even edge that I loved so much is worn down within three or four uses and basically after that I only get proper use out of my Technakohl by using it on my waterline as it no longer has that sharp, precise tip that I so dearly loved lining my upper lash line with!
All in agreement say I!
But of COURSE the Muse was fairly excited to see the Sephora Brand Retractable Waterproof Eyeliner for $12 USD…ooooo cheaper than Technakohl…but guess what else?
Not only is the design pretty much the same but the dreamy, creamy formula looks the same too but guess what else!?
A built-in sharpener to keep your pencil tip extra sharp and crisp for lining and defining for months to come! Ahhh blessed relief. Question remains is the formula just as good as MAC Tecnakohl? If so, count the Muse happy that someone finally figured out a sharpener was in order!
Loves it!
Good on ya Sephora! MAC failed to remember it but you didn’t!
Yay or Nay?

Remember the old Sephora Harmony Trio Bronzers?
Lord knows the Muse recalls purchasing ‘em but for the life of her she can’t remember using them! After a while she just got tired of them even thought she used them once at the very most.
However….
Have you freaking seen the new Sephora Bronze Harmony Trio in Apricot? Hello Spring!
Sephora Brand Harmony Trio Bronzer in Apricot is looking mighty fine me thinks!
Dare I say the bright rose, orange, and gold shimmering shades aren’t fitting in with the name “harmony bronzer”…oh no…these are something special, something more…!
The shades are so Spring-friendly and remind this Muse of candy! I likey, might I have one now please? Count me curious…this may very well make it onto my wish list soon!
Whatcha think?

If you’re single (or have an indulgent boyfriend) and wanting to do something tomorrow why not visit with Josie Maran at your local Sephora in Santa Monica….she’ll be your date for V-Day this year but don’t expect chocolate too, those are sold separately….what you can’t have everything!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
Best get into your inbox and start looking for your Sephora Spring Catalog 2009 ladies! The Sephora High Voltage Spring Catalog for 2009 is winging it’s way to your mail box as I type this.
Surprisingly it’s jammed packed full of plenty of new products. Why my surprise? Well, I guess the economy has convinced me that somehow variety wouldn’t be making an appearance but have no fear plenty of choices to be had in the new catalog.
This year alot of emphasis on bright neon nail shades with more subdued eyes and brighter lip looks. I found the combos interesting to say the least. Some may open the catalog and think the models wearing the neon colored wigs a tad on the ridiculous side but I was feeling all that neon for some reason. Guess we can chalk it all up to my need for something bright as the weather is bleak and the economy is just plain dark, I’m sure we can all use a tiny bit of color in our lives at the moment! As per Spring 2008 they went with alot of bolder, vibrant looks but mostly it seems to lean more heavily on pooping lip shades and really outrageous nail colors.

Anything that promises me the world is easily headed straight to the top of my priority list.
The Muse is ever, always on the quest for thee best concealer on the market so of course when my eyes recently landed on Kat Von D Tattoo Concealer I was feeling quite hyped.
What’s this? A tattoo concealer? That sounds like some seriously pigmented stuff!
What is it?
A heavy duty, multitasking concealer with a moisturizing, creamy base for covering up bemishes, dark circles, tattoos, and other woes. Supposedly this is super pigmented and wears ultra long. It’s $25 USD so it has to do some of what it promises wouldn’t you agree?
I’m thinking if it can cover up tattoos it shouldn’t have a problem with a few nasty dark circles. Yes, indeed I needs this right away, on the double please, I’ll take a case.
Contrary to whispered rumors that the Kat Von D Collection is a revamped, repackaging version of the Sephora Makeup Collection the Muse can verify that she’s tried a few bits and bobs from the line and quality is brilliant so of course I’m putting my full faith into Miss Von D with this concealer.
It’s on order now and review will be upcoming soon!
Whatcha think?
Gotta work right?

Palette Green Idyll contains cream blushes you can use for cheeks or lips and four shimmer cream shadows for 19,90€. I like the fresh green shades mixed with golds and coppers! Quite lovely for Spring might I say. Euro is converting particularly well at the moment so I decided to order this palette as I’m really loving the design and colors, unsure if I’ll be disappointed or not but I decided what the heck!
Expect a review shortly!

Remember how fond the Muse is of ranting about the lack of face masks available without the US? Asian markets are flooded with all sorts of facial masks and it’s a common part of skincare regime to use these masks for extra moisture, whitening benefits, and a number of other reasons. Almost all masks are commonly found in drugstores at quite an inexpensive price tag.
Now US women are quite deprived of these great treatments and if you’re seeking such a face mask a few select brand such as Shu make these masks but with a high price tag.
I was excited to see that the Sephora Brand Power Mask Collection has popped up at Sephora! Wow finally a company within the US was finally jumping on board the face mask craze.
The idea behind the Sephora Brand Powder Mask Collection was quite exciting as I loved the idea of finding masks locally at my Sephora store. Cool!
Three masks are available for use one of which is a face mask that delivers extra moisture to the face! The Muse can always use as much moisture as possible on my face. Also available is an eye mask that also delivers moisture, comfort, and cooling to the eye area.
And finally another face mask option is available that nourishes tired skin and creates a more fresher, newer you!
Are you excited yet? I was.
Until I seen the price.
Umm hello expensive how are you?
The masks are not sold in bulk such as ones from Asian companies which means you’re getting a SINGLE mask, ONE time use for a price tag that starts at $8 and ends somewhere at $12.
Come.
On.
Say word!
Even Shu Eye Masks run cheaper at $45 for a box of 8 which adds up to around $5.65 per a mask.
$8??? $12??
Um no my face does not need moisture at that cost! Especially moisture that isn’t even from a high end brand name.
Check it:
Lower your prices Sephora and they will come.
Yea, well you’re either an Eagles fan and loved it or didn’t get it at all.
Moving on….
Sephora has embraced that warm, tropical feeling with it’s brand new collection entitled Moroccan Sunrise.
The Muse say…whoa likey!
I honestly have no love loss for Sephora Brand cosmetics but I do generally love how hard they try when they do release an interesting collection so be the case with the Sephora Moroccan Sunrise Collection, it truly is rather gorgeous.
The general fanfare is included with the release including brush sets, makeup bags, and the odd little cosmetic bit and bob such as a mirror and atomizer. However, what really caught my attention was the entire makeup part of the collection. It all looks quite nice and dare I say indulge-able. Is that even a word? Well I deem it a word, place it in your Musepedia of words and phrases this Muse uses.
I personally think they went a bit too far with the fanfare items and left the color makeup part of the collection lacking. We all know that the huge selection of Moroccan themed makeup bags will end up on clearance quickly enough so why bother releasing so many? They should have expanded further on the makeup line up in my humblest as this is really quite nice.
The fluff pieces:
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t thinking about adding that eye palette and bronzer too my wish list! Hmmmm….decisions, decisions…
What do you think of the Sephora Moroccan Sunrise Collection?

Here’s one that could be interesting, check it out:
Available in three shades for $16 USD the Muse could say that this makes a girl curious for sure. Sephora Brand Buildable Cover Concealer looks like Benefit Boi-ing but supposedly dries to a powder-like finish. Not sure I’m loving a cream to powder formula in concealer can you say creasing? But it supposedly hides just about everything including tattoos…whoa…this could be good.
Buildabe coverage makes this a customized concealer for large or small problems. Contains Viatmins A and E with hydrating agents such as cocoa oil.
Sure sounds like it’s food from the concealer gods…whether it is or not remains to be seen!
In the cart you go….review coming soon!
Tell me…
Count me curious!
Sephora sometimes sneakily places items on sale and before you notice that they are giving away cosmetics for next to nothing, everything is normally snatched up and long gone.
Sad sign.
So what’s the trick for scoring a Sephora sale?
You may already know this tip but it’s fairly simple the Muse suggests doing it once a week or once every two weeks to carry away the swag from Sephora when a sale hits.
What is it Muse? What is it? How do we score at Sephora?
Simply search “sale” on Sephora’s site and anything and everything that’s currently on clearance will pop up on the screen!
Go practice and try it out for yourself! Click! But don’t tell anyone else. It’s our secret, k? Shhhhh.
