I’m on a tangerine kick for Spring and I have a funny feeling that I’ll rock it through Summer. But the trend for Summer 2011 is a more natural, nude, fresher appearance. In a reversed role (you’d think this would be a Spring trend rather than a Summer one) minimal makeup for a fresh look is what you’ll see for Summer.
Smashbox is the first to introduce us to the trend with some of their early offerings for Summer 2011.
Let’s have a look, I know one item I’ve already fallen in love with!
Quick heads up!
Smashbox Beauty Sale is on.
Happy Monday and most important Happy Valentine’s Day! You don’t really need a holiday to spread the love around but I do hope you all have a special someone to share it with be it your best friend, your sister, brother, boyfriend, girlfriend, wife or husband.
Speaking of romantic I was thinking that the Smashbox Red Carpet Radiance Palette was pretty, soft, and full of romantic shades.
If the Smashbox In Bloom Eyeshadow Palette proves as good as the few pieces I’ve tried from their Spring 2011 Collection, I’ll be a happy camper indeed.
I know some of you purchased it, what’s the good word?
I haven’t tried it yet but I did try out the Smashbox In Bloom Creamy Cheek Duo, In Bloom Limitless Long Wear Lip Gloss, and In Bloom Artificial Light Powder.
I absolutely adore the promo model’s image for the Smashbox In Bloom Spring 2011 Collection. It’s so fresh and clean, very natural for Spring with a minimalist finish but just the right amount of makeup to flatter.
But I couldn’t help but wonder how they got such a great eye look from the Smashbox In Bloom Eye Palette which contains some really smoky shades. This is one reason you probably should never depend on stock imagery to make your makeup choices as I’m guessing the palette looks way better in the flesh than it does in the promo shot.
Anyone with me?
