Don’t quote me but I suspect the new Cher movie, Burlesque, is going to be a huge flop. Mind you, I’m so going to see it, but I have a funny feeling it’s going to be rubbish.
But hey at least we get super cool makeup collection tie ins thanks to the film.
We took a look earlier this month at the new Smashbox Burlesque Kit which looks actually really nice. The set is $39 bucks and includes full size products of Smashbox Limitless Liquid Liner Pen, Smashbox Double Ended Lip Gloss, Smashbox Shadow and Liner Quad, and Smashbox Loose Shimmer.
I was all about the quad included in this collection.
But if you’re anything like me and you simply want more, you greedy little bugger, you might want to check out the Nordstrom Exclusive Smashbox Burlesque Beauty Collection & Train Case.
Anyone remember the Smashbox Wish Holiday Collection from last year?
Looks like Smashbox has revived it and is re-releasing it this year with new shades.
Last year Smashbox donated $1 from every purchase of the Wish Holiday Collection to the Children’s Miracle Network which is a non-profit organization that provides medical care, lifesaving research, and on-going education to sick and injured children. I’m not sure if this year’s collection will feature the same charity event but I imagine it will.
One thing that did capture my eye was the new Smashbox Burlesque Beauty Collection which is a four piece set that isn’t part of the Wish theme. It looks cute and I’m somewhat hopeful it might lead to other color releases or a possible Burlesque Color Collection of some sort.
There’s also Smashbox The Gold List which is a value set that includes some interesting golden themed makeup products for the Holiday!
You ever get a makeup lemming that you never fulfill? That happens to me alot. I get a lemming but it falls through and I sometimes don’t indulge because something else caught my fancy or I just got to busy to get said item, etc….something happens and months go by and I simply forget the lemming.
That happened with Smashbox Heartbreaker Eau De Parfum.
I wanted it so badly at the time, didn’t indulge and months went by….
Suddenly it pops up for sale and the lemming is as strong as the force yo.
Smashbox’s Fall Collection, Masquerade should be at your local Sephora. Have you seen it? Haul any of it? Wanting to? What did you think so far?
Along with the release Smashbox Masquerade Baked Fusion Soft Lights Palette was introduced which is a very pretty palette however a little overly done since Clinique has similar palettes and heck Smashbox has done and redone this style of highlighter before.
We aren’t afraid of things that have been redone and I’m always of the mentality, as are most of you, that one can never have too many pretty powders.
Which is why I wanted to introduce you to Smashbox Blossom Baked Cheek & Highlighter which could prove to be a nice investment.
