Let it be known I was every so relieved after viewing the QVC Presentation Video that I wasn’t crazy about the overall finish I got with the Smashbox FAQ’s 7 Piece Color Collection.
I recently hauled this on Auto Delivery from QVC because it was a stupendous deal. After receiving it I was in awe over the promo model’s overall look and was every so eager to try it out.
FAIL!
I totally couldn’t master the look but after seeing the video on QVC I realized the two looks are completely and utterly different and the one on QVC looks more like what I came out with than what was included in the how to guide in the set.
Phew! It’s always nice to know I’m NOT going crazy because believe me I feel on the brink of it daily.
Let’s take a look at this set and more on my rant about the model later!

It’s probably to early to say this but I’m leaning towards saying that the Smashbox Softbox Eye Palette is my favorite Summer palette. I’m really loving softer more nude shades of shadow lately. I can’t quite go the bolder, crazy look for Summer anymore. Heck, I really loved aqua at one time as a primary shade for the warm weather but now I’m more about delicate shades of shimmering brown, gold, and bronze and the Softbox Eye Palette brings just that.
Photographers love shooting in natural light to create a diffused, softer look and that’s exactly what this palette does. The shades give a soft focused look that’s romantic and ethereal but still have the fun Summer vibe as well!
You NEED this palette.

Are you an Smashbox O-Gloss Gold lover?
You NEEDS it!
I’m kinda all about embracing the nude, natural look that’s trending this Summer. The Smashbox Softbox Collection looks like it has me covered for the trend but I’m also interested in snatching up the new Smashbox Limitless Beauty Collection available at Ulta for a soft, delicate look.
The set features a gorgeous eye palette, blush, gloss, eyeliner, primer, and a step by step guide for getting the look!
The palette seems so soft and delicious and I really love the peachy gloss and blush!
The entire set is $39 and available exclusively at www.Ulta.com
What do you think?
I’m on a tangerine kick for Spring and I have a funny feeling that I’ll rock it through Summer. But the trend for Summer 2011 is a more natural, nude, fresher appearance. In a reversed role (you’d think this would be a Spring trend rather than a Summer one) minimal makeup for a fresh look is what you’ll see for Summer.
Smashbox is the first to introduce us to the trend with some of their early offerings for Summer 2011.
Let’s have a look, I know one item I’ve already fallen in love with!
