Tarte Gifts from the Lipstick Tree Achiote Color Collection Review is turning into my new favorite collection for Summer 2012. I’m a matchy match kinda girl so having a set with blush, lipgloss, and a lip tint all in the same shade, well, that has my name written all over it.
The collection features three full size products in a brand new shade (brand new for many but not so new for QVC junkies as the shade was available before in a gift set) entitled Achiote.
Achiote literally is a reference to the “lipstick tree” as it is a common treat that grows in the tropical regions of South America and is dubbed the lipstick tree due to the natural pigment produced from the seeds it bears. The women of Brazil use this pigment to enhance their natural beauty.
As with most Tarte products the formula is paraben and mineral free.
Gotta love that.
Considering a single blush is $25 and a gloss $21 this is a nice little set that includes three products for $42 that fair outweight the cost per an item.
Let’s take a look!
Having already reviewed the Tarte Clean Slate Flawless 12-hr Brightening Primer for the dry skin lads and ladies out there now it’s time to address those with oily skin and larger pores, that’s where Tarte Clean Slate Poreless Perfecting Primer comes into play.
I’ll keeping shaking the old lipstick tree if the products that rain down on me are of the achiote color variety.
Tarte Gifts from the Lipstick Tree Achiote Color Collection you so pretty my eyes hurt staring at you!
Go on, you can admit, how many Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes do you own?
I think I’m going on 10 shades right now, perhaps 12?
Here are a few swatches of shades I own that I haven’t featured on Musings before!
Tarte Clean Slate Flawless 12-HR Brightening Primer is one of two new facial primers that the brand has introduced with their Summer 2012 Collection.
This one I’d recommend for the drier skin folks out there as it leaves out nasty silicones and has a smooth, hydrating feel and finish.
