If you’re new around these parts you may have missed the drama surrounding the Balm Cabana Boy. Dude, oh my god, so difficult to find. Sephora had released info on it early this Summer but ever after that it was removed and no word about it was around. I later discovered it on a few websites but failed to order it. Finally Sephora slapped it back up and I recently hauled it…ok not so recent, ’bout a month ago. I was quite in love with the Balm Down Boy and of course when I laid eyes on Cabana Boy I got that singing in my blood that was screaming, “Must Have….Must Have…” I imagine you know the sound of that voice in your head that mimics that of a zombie demanding brains for dinner…yes well I get like that with makeup sometimes but it doesn’t come out “Brains………Brains…..” it comes out “Makeup….Makeup…..”
Fact of the matter is when the Balm releases powder blushes in any form I’m normally on line to purchase as they always turn into something very special. And of course the Balm Cabana Boy Blush is special.
Check it after the jump!
The bloody Balm gets me every time with their uber cute glam packaging and interesting little cosmetic releases that make it seem like the world will end if I don’t haul it.
Such is the case with their new highlighting powder entitled Mary-Lou Manizer. I’ve no idea what the name is about I guess it’s a cross between man and luminizer? I’m not really sure but hey whatever floats your boat the Balm, I’ll go along with anything you say if you keep pumping out these cute packages of makeup goodness.
Jump ahead for the deets.
Yes well I know you’ve had to listen to me biatch myself blue about how the Balm Cabana Boy mysteriously disappeared off the shelves of Sephora soon after I told you about. What the hell? It’s a total conspiracy they so didn’t want me to have this blush!
Well the bad news is you’ll have to listen to one more post about the Balm Cabana Boy before I finally bring you a review of it.
Yes, yes you guessed it. It’s available at Sephora! OMG! Everyone rejoice! All hail Cabana Boy! Thank gawd. I was liable to throw myself off a roof in protest if I didn’t get me some of this soon. The baby jebus finally heard my prayers.
Go gets it!
The saga of Cabana boy is now closed. For more epic posts about it do a search on my blog and read your heart out chicas!

I’ve been a big fan of the Balm Hot Mama since it’s release a few Summer’s ago. Such a great little blush. I’ve bragged it once or twice here and there and even did an article about it on Specktra’s Blog when I was posting over there for a spell a year or so ago.
If you like NARS Orgasm and Super Orgasm you’ll adore the Balm Hot Mama. Or maybe you feel like Orgasm is a bit too sheer and Super Orgasm a bit too shimmery…Hot Mama is neither. No shimmer here and plenty of pigment. It’s a warm, sizzling shade of popping coral that’s ideal for the Summer sun! the Balm loves making things easy to multitask so you can use Hot Mama on lids or cheeks, super!
I thought I’d pull it out today because it is one of my Summer Must Have Make Up Items and sure was worthy of a post all it’s own.
With a bit of pink, plenty of peach, and a whole like of heat this is a Summer blush you should be adding to your beauty arsensal!
Total Muse Approve for purchase!
I was even nice enough to compare Hot Mama, Orgasm, and Super Orgasm for ya. Aren’t I sweets?
Anyone own Hot Mama?
