Spicy hot is the order of business for the new Victoria’s Secret Beauty of Brazil Collection. Rich hues of bronzer, shimmering shades of shadow, and slippery sexy lips should break you from Spring to Summer in a flash!
Jump ahead for the full details!
I’m always delighted by any and every Victoria’s Secret Very Sexy Makeup Collection that pops up. I’ve always been terribly pleased with all the releases and the quality of the Limited Edition items so but of course the new Victoria’s Secret Beauty of Brazil Collection completely appeals to this Muse. Although I’m not much of a bronze fan I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement upon viewing all these new goodies. The collection is inspired by the rich hues and scents of Brazil, think tropical heat, warm sandy beaches, and plenty of shimmering shades. Releasing with the collection are some beautiful point makeup items such as a bronzer, eye palettes, glosses, and even a fragrance!
The Victoria’s Secret Beauty of Brazil Silky Bronzer Powder is available in two shades for Light to Medium skin tones and Medium to Dark. The bronzer is housed in a zebra printed compact with a large brush for buffing color on. The compact is $24 USD which is a reasonable price and quite in keeping with the normal price tag on Victoria’s Secret LE items.
Also releasing are two Victoria’s Secret Beauty of Brazil Radiant Shimmer Eye Palettes for $24 USD each. The two shade selections available are entitled Amazon RainForest and Rio De Janerio. I’m partial to the lighter shimmering golds, beiges, and browns in the rain forest palette. The Rio De Janerio palette contains more popping shades of blue, purple, and brown. Each palette has four strips of shimmering eye shadow that can be worn wet or dry for a more dramatic, tropical look!
Victoria’s Secret Beauty of Brazil Lip Gloss is available in three shade selections for $15 USD. In an interesting twist this new gloss comes in a squeeze tube where as Victoria’s Secret normally prefers housing it’s LE glosses in a square tube with a brush or sponge applicator so this is an interesting packaging choice for them. The shades all look like semi-sheer shades that range from peach to berry, the formula also has an SPF of 15.
And finally to complete your steamy, tropical look you can spray yourself with the new Victoria’s Secret Very Sexy Now Eau de Parfum. This new version of Very Sexy is a colorful blend of exotic fruits like papaya and creamy coconut with a blend or orchid to spice things up!
I’m really loving this collection and I’m adding it to my Summer wish list! I’ll be picking it up as soon as I see it in store so I can review for you. At least one of the eye palettes, possibly a bronzer, and all the glosses are getting added on this Muse’s list!

I sincerely love
Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush Body Double Mists with a passion. They smell so scrumptious!
So of course I was completely excited to see that they extended the line recently and are now featuring Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush 3-in-1 Body Wash.
The new body wash comes in Candy, Juiced Berry, Coconut Craze, Honey Do, Slice of Heaven, and Appletini.
You can use these as a shower gel, bubble bath, or shampoo a la Philosophy 3-in-1′s! Awesome right? Plus they are priced at 3 for $25 USD so you won’t break the bank too much by indulging!
I seriously do NOT need another shower gel but lord knows I really want to haul some of these.
Anyone with me?
Tired ‘em already?

I have a major love affair with the Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush Body Double Mist Body Sprays. Dontcha just love ‘em? They smell so sweet, fruity, and girly!
But ado…they do have a major problem….the scent doesn’t linger. Sigh. A few sprays, out the door, and the scent is gone without moments. So fleeting…..But it doesn’t stop me from buying them as I like how they moisten my skin and at the least leave behind a hint of sweet scent!
But check it, now you can get Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush Fragrance Wave Rolette!
What are they? 5ML rollerballs that contain your favorite Beauty Rush scent which you roll on for a burst of sweet scent! Likey! Portable for your purse and great for touch-up’s on the go these tiny treasures are available in four of the Beauty Rush scents.
Snag ‘em in Candy Baby, Juiced Berry, Honey Do (Brand New Scent), and Appletini!
Each rollette is $10 USD

Get your Spring cosmetic wardrobe on with the Victoria’s Secret Spring Look Makeup Collection.
It’s kinda different for Victoria’s Secret to release a complete gift set for Spring. Normally they focus on a shimmering makeup line almost every Spring with each product sold separately. It’s nice to see an entire set for Spring all sold together in one kit.
The Spring Look Makeup Collection Includes:
- Victoria’s Secret Lipgloss in Blush
- Victoria’s Secret Eye Shadow Quad
- Victoria’s Secret Highlighter/Blush Duo in Fresh
- Victoria’s Secret High-Def Mascara
- A white makeup bag with the Victoria’s Secret emblem on it and an attached mirror
The colors all look very fresh and Spring-like with a strong focus on pink. I’m all about pink for the Spring so this definately appeals. Overall, it looks like quite a cute little selection of goodies for one or two complete Spring looks!
The kit is $49 USD and available now at Victoria’s Secret

Oh my freaking god Scott Barnes Ice Eye is on sale again at Victoria’s Secret!
Why have I never picked these up!?
I seen these last year during the Semi Annual sale and skipped them and now again I’m presented with them and I can’t help but feel that old special lemming come on for these. I’m so intrigued to try them out. Knocked down from the original price tag of $25 USD and now priced at $11.99 USD I probably can afford one or two to try out right?
I think mainly, as unconventional as it is, the packaging appeals to me in a big way. Isn’t it really pretty? But on a sad note I worry it’ll be really difficult to get the product out plus the general mess of it which is why I’m glad I can steal it at this price because hey if I hate it at least I didn’t dish nearly $30 bucks on it!
Anyone try these?

Heidi is back at Victoria’s Secret with her second line up of limited edition cosmetics inspired and named after her. Last year’s collection was ho-hum but this year some interesting pieces have cropped up however I think I’ll wait till the semi-annual to indulge!
Last year’s mosaic eye palette is replaced with a brand new eyeshadow quad in shimmering shades of black and green. Green appears to be the dominant shade in the collection as it’s also available in a shimmering glitter liquid liner! The price on the shadow palette has risen from $18 USD to $20 USD however the rest of the line remains the same cost.
Heidi Klum Collection Eyeshadow Quad $20 USD
Heidi Klum Collection Glitter Liquid Liner $10
The lip items in the collection haven’t changed to much from last year as they are both nude shades. I actually like the prior releases as they were a bit more peachy and flattering compared to the completely nude look they are going for this year.
Heidi Klum Collection Lipgloss $10 USD
Heidi Klum Collection Lipstick $10 USD
And finally the piece I really have my eye on is the blush which is made up of three shimmering shades for a highlighted, sun kissed look! I really like the looks of this and think it’s the best item released in the collection! Last year they didn’t release a blush color so it’s nice to see they added one in plus kudos for creating such a beautiful blush!
Heidi Klum Collection Blush $22 USD
All in all the collection is nice enough but I’ll probably wait on it to see what the cost looks like after it’s on sale! The only item that really catches my fancy is the blush and possibly the palette!
Indulging yourself?
Tried last year’s collection?

These are worthy of a mention. Behold, Victoria’s Secret New Beauty Rush line up entitled Tropical Coolers:
I’m not going to say these are amazing because they are sadly not. However, I was drawn in when I seen the display and scent selection. I found myself heading to the till to pay for three bottles while struggling to hold them all in my arms. I made it safely there and before I knew it I had shelled out $24 USD and tax.
I’ve tried Victoria’s Beauty Rush Body Double Mist before but as I said I was tempted by these new scents. If you’re unfamiliar with these they are simply a dual layer fragrance that mixes a fragranced water base with a fragranced oil base. This basically translates as you’re getting a moisturizing scented body spray!
They work fabulous on wet skin and it’s kinda the feeling of a dry oil spray that conditions, softens, and leaves behind a gorgeous scent.
Sadly, the thing that I dislike about these is the scent doesn’t linger nearly as long as I’d like. When you spray on the first time you get a super healthy amount of fragrance that smells both fresh and fruity however the staying powder is zero and within an hour you’ll need to retouch up sadly. This could be my body chemistry that sucks the scent right in but it does happen to my sister too so I’m not the only one experiencing the problem with these!
I’m quite upset at this because I do generally love the scents they put out and I’ve tried virtually all of ‘em but they don’t linger at all!
The three that sucked me in were from a new line entitled Tropical Coolers. It’s three new scents that are called Lotta Colada, Punchy, and Mango Madness! All three are super duper sweet and fruity and true to the name.
Shown below after being shaken. Once shaken the oil and water base combine to create a beautifully, conditioning body spray!
For the price you can’t really not avoid picking up one or two up to try out. They aren’t nearly so nice to tote around in your bag for touch ups since they are so big.
They really smell sincerely heavenly….now if we can convince Victoria’s Secret to make them a touch stronger we’d have a winner here!

I’m all for light, sheer, and colorful in the Summer!
I can get all three with Victoria’s Secret New Pink Tinted Lip Balms. How cute are these? Reminiscence of MAC’s Tinted Conditioner Sticks these little guys are about half the price at $7 USD each plus they are heaps cuter! Just look at that cute little heart in the center of each!
These are definately on my wish list! I haven’t yet seen them in stores but you can click on over to Victoria’s Secret website to check them out or add them to your cart!
The Muse likes ‘em, wants ‘em, and feels a purchase coming on!

I prefer a lighter fragrance in the Summer and Victoria’s Secret new “Sensual Fruit” Collection is the perfect combination of a light and sweet scent for the hot weather!
I picked these up a few weeks ago at Victoria’s Secret and I’m quite happy I purchased them as the weather is beginning to get humid and I really like a quick body spray that lingers on in the sticky heat!
I picked up Dewy Peach and Juicy Apple both of which are a lovely cocktail of sweet fruit! I find these linger all day when I layer them with the lotion and I’m left with just the right amount of scent that’s light enough for Summer wear and tear.
The price can’t be beat at 4 for $19.99 USD or 7 for $29.99. You can mix and match till your heart’s content which is a plus for me as I can never make up my mind!
I enjoy a nice light fragrance in the Summer and these fit the bill perfectly!
What’s your Summer Scent preference?

Last year Victoria’s Secret had introduced a collection entitled Sparkling Diamond. The collection was limited edition and the Muse was quite happy about her purchases from the Collection. This year the collection is back and simply entitled “Diamonds Collection”. Both collections have made the hefty promise that each palette contains crushed diamonds. Call me skeptical but I fail to believe these palettes actually contain crushed up diamonds but hey you never know right?
Last year the collection was quite a deal larger and included a face palette, various shadows, and glosses. This year the collection is a good deal smaller with a new face palette, three duo eyeshadows, and re-releases of the glosses from last year.
Although the collection is lovely I felt like it’s previous release was much, much better and I only ended up with one shadow duo and the face palette both of which didn’t wow me too much but I had to have them for a simple a reason that sometimes a drug addict needs a fix and so it goes for a beauty addict!
Here’s the palette from this year:
The palette quite reminds me of Dior’s Blossom Face Palette. It’s lovely but I’d have really enjoyed something pink or something with more gold. This appears mostly bronze for me and I’m not thrilled with the color selection. It can be used on your face or your eyes to create various looks!
Below you’ll see the difference in size between last years palette and this years! I really liked the pink version much better than the bronze/peach version. The size was much nicer as well plus the enclosed brush was lovely!
Last Year’s Release
The shadows available for this collection are duos. Last year they had released a loose eyeshadow powder where as this year the duos are pressed shadows. The shadow is nice and shimmery but a bit on the sheer side sadly!
Other color options available for the duos were a black/purple and a pink/gold I believe. I wasn’t paying too much attention but I remember not liking the other versions and settling on the teal/gold palette!
Here are a few pictures from last year’s release:
I’m a bit disappointed that a loose powder wasn’t released with the collection. Last year a gorgeous sparkling pink Diamond powder was released with the collection but this year we didn’t get one!
Here’s a photo of it:
Beautiful right?
I wish they had released something similar this year!
As you can probably tell from my lukewarm review I’m not entirely thrilled or as excited as I was last year about this particular collection! Oh well! I am kinda sorta pleased with the palette but aside from that I think you can safely skip! Word to the wise these tend to sell out super fast so head out to Victoria’s Secrets as soon as you can to cure your lemmings!

Here’s an awesome Beauty on a Budget find for you!
Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush Sparkling and Luminous Loose Eyeshadows.
I picked these up this weekend spontaneously while waiting in line at Victoria’s Secret. I see them ALL the time and Victoria’s Secret pimps them out big time. These things are in little buckets all over the store so seriously sooner or later you’re bound to pick up one or two even if you don’t want to which is just the case for me!
I didn’t need, nor want these but somehow, someway they finally ended up in my cart.
Shrugs.
What can I say? I guess I got tired of seeing them all the time and never trying them! No idea why I bothered purchasing them but honestly I’m actually glad I did because they aren’t so bad!
These are $7 USD each which is the most obscene price I ever heard of in my life as they are so tiny! $7? Come on! No way am I dishing out a near $10 bill for these little tiny eyeshadows!
But I brought five of them which means I got ‘em for $4 USD each! I like that price much better
They are available at a single price of $7 or as a purchase of 5 for $20 which sounds much better.
F0r some odd reason everyone and their mum decided that it was a good idea to be at Victoria’s Secret and the line was fracking out the door. So as I waited impatiently I was busy swatching every color of these shadows on my arm and decided I did indeed need one or two.
As I said they are good.
First of all they are very light and shimmering. If you love a “not so made up” look these are definately something you might want to consider purchasing. Pigmentation is not too bad and the color is buildable. The powders are light, shimmery, and have a nice bit of sparkle.
They are advertised in two finishes one of which is a “high sparkle” finish while the other is a Luminous version. I honestly can’t tell the difference between the two as they both give a nice fair amount of sparkle.
Colors range from a few bold colors like greens, purples, and teals to lighter shades like pink, beige, and white.
I personally choose mostly light colors as I thought they would be great for Summer for a light makeup look.
Not alot of product comes in the little jar but for the price I can’t complain too much. The applicator is awesome in my humble opinion! I wish that Urban Decay had such a great applicator on their new loose pigment shadows. It’s a dense, rounded sponge tip that fits very nice not only in the contour of my eye but right across the lid for easy application!
The colors I got were:
- Glow Nude-A sparkling nude cream color
- Deja Blue-A deep blue green
- Goldblinger-A soft creamy gold
- Miami Ice-A sparkling white
- Twinkled Pink-A iridescent pink
Glow Nude
Deja Blue
Goldblinger
Miami Ice
Twinkled Pink
All in all these are pretty good quality for the price and the Muse likes them! If you favor a light, natural look or just want an easy, simple eyeshadow application these might be something to consider!
Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush Sparkling and Luminous Loose Eyeshadows should definately be able to fit into your Beauty Budget!

Meet Victoria’s Secret’s imitation of Yves Saint Laurent ‘Touché Brillance’ Sparkling Touch Lipgloss:
From Top to Bottom: Possession, Randy, and Torrid
These shiny little glosses cost a nice cheap $12 however you might want to save your pennies and spend the $29 on the YSL version as they aren’t that great sadly.
Contrary to my rave reviews about Victoria’s Secret Cosmetics line lately I must give these guys a poor review.
Let me share some of the cons with you. The packaging on these is great. They come in the standard click pen style. Click for color and apply. The price tag is pretty sweet at $12 per pen and it’s quite a large amount of product in the pen from what I can see.
However, the cons stop with the actual formula of the gloss. The gloss is sparkling and comes in an array of gorgeous shades but the texture is tacky, sticky, and difficult to apply. It’s not so much about tacky and sticky as I wear lipglass and god knows lipglass is the height of stick and tack. This is much more on the waxy side. Weird right? But it’s true. It feels like I’m smearing a melted crayon on my lips when applying.
When finally have this arranged on my lips correct, which is a task to say the least, the actual gloss doesn’t last that long at all. It slips and slides right off my lips within 10 minutes. So chalk up the staying power as zero.
Don’t try layering this with lipstick either otherwise you’re liable to look like a clown. For some reason the texture, the formula or all of the above just smears in a way that you’ll end up looking like Bozo the Clown in a matter of seconds during application.
So…sadly…these get the Muse’s thumb down rating. Vicky has been doing so well in the beauty department lately and I’ve raved (See my raves here, here, and here) a ton but this time I must rant and say that these are an utter waste of $12!
Save your pennies and grab a YSL gloss instead!

Victoria’s Secret always comes out with delightful gifts and this year is no exception!
I came across the Ultimate Sexy Set while browsing around Victoria’s Secret website. The set is $100 and it is well worth the price however the Muse highly recommends checking the website the week of Christmas and the day after Christmas to nab a huge deal on it! As we know everything is always cheaper AFTER Christmas and I have no doubt the set will go from $100 to $50 to $20 or lower in the days after Christmas and that’s a great time to cash in any gift certificates you may have gotten and nab yourself a nice little collection of yum!
Victoria’s Secret Ultimate Sexy Set
The set includes a lovely little black bag with “Angel” sequined across the front and inside it’s chock full of cosmetics!
Perfect Lipstick, Mosaic Blush, Lipgloss, Lip Plumper, Mosaic Bronzer, Mosaic Eyeshadow, Silky Eyeshadow, Mascara and more!
This is a pretty stocked tote of goodies!
If you HAVE to have it right now the Muse says use code GIVEVS and get $15 off your total which brings the Ultimate Sexy Set down to $85 or you can wait for the Semi-Annual sale like the Muse and maybe nab it for far, far less!
Happy Shopping!
