Higher levels of SPF are typically found in tinted moisturizers. Seems like SPF remains the most stable in tinted moisturizers and wears the best. I notice anything with a high level of SPF in a foundation either gives my face a white cast or ends up separating the foundation formula.
I do think that, what I dubbed the “year of the SPF”, will continue this Summer with foundations sporting higher and higher sun protection. Last Summer, SPF took front seat and we saw SPF products with levels of 50 and above. The year before, it seemed 30 and under were the trend. Granted, this is within the US of course.
Lucky enough, someone finally woke up, and last Summer we saw some great products with higher levels of SPF than ever before.
That’s why I’m quite excited to check out the new Philosophy Divine Flawless Foundation which sports a whooping SPF 50. This is possibly the highest level of SPF I’ve ever seen in a foundation product here in the US market.
Philosophy introduced their Divine Color Collection exclusively to QVC last year and has some new products that they’ll be adding to the collection shortly.
Interestingly enough this launch never appeared anywhere else. I thought QVC would have available exclusively for a brief time but the color collection has stayed exclusive to them and isn’t available from any other shops or even the brand itself.
Take a look at some of the newer offers for Spring 2012, I think the Divine Color Tint for Cheeks and Lips might intrigue you!
Philosophy Love Sweet Love Fragrance is their new fruity floral fragrance. This lively fragrance promises to be fruity and sweet with touches of floral.
I’m curious about this one. Philosophy fragrances and I don’t typically get on but this might be the one to change my mind!
I’m a huge Lennon fan and quite a big Beatles fan circa the acid trip years. Now if your as old as say my mum you really appreciate the “I Wanna Hold your Hand” years and the entire British Invasion but if you’re a bit younger, well, needless to say you love the years that Paul and John were dropping tabs and creating the most incredible music on the planet as far as I’m concerned.
With much focus on what both Paul and John were creating, I think, the fandom forgot how talented George was. He wrote Here Comes the Sun in ’69 when he was having a crummy year, lots was going on at the time including him being arrested for possession. George was quoted as saying he created the song one day when walking around Eric Clapton’s gardens. Go figure!
The song is one for creating an ear worm simply because we all have those crap days that seem like they are going on forever but there’s always a clarifying moment when the sun comes out and we realize everything we are stressing out about is really not all that bad after all.
Needless to say the short winter seems like it’s over and here comes the sun….with Spring full force ahead Philosophy has a brand new collection to get you geared for the warm, sunny weather ahead and fittingly it’s named Here Comes the Sun. I’d like to think George would be quite chuffed about having a skincare line named after his little ditty.
Warning there are gratuitous photos of JRM’s naked chest after the jump!

These naughty little guys are $68 for 12 pads, ouch! But I bet they will be the best $68 you’ve ever spent on a skincare product. Philosophy has been releasing consistent breakthrough skincare that started with the Miracle Worker Pads and most recently with their new Dark Spot Corrector.
I’m very eager to test drive these! Review upcoming soon!
Philosophy Miracle Worker Moisturizer is one of my skincare gems. Although very rich and very moisturizing I still wanted to add a good solid serum into my nightly regime when using the Miracle Worker so I turned to Philosophy When Hope is Not Enough Omega 3-6-9 Replenishing Serum.
I’m getting hyped up for Philosophy’s next Q show. I think it’s this week or next week? Something along those lines.
Reason I’m hyped is because Philosophy always surprises us with new skincare as soon as the New Year hits. I know at least one product that I have my eye on from Philosophy that will be mine.
To start off things a little early Philosophy the Oxygen Boost is premiering today on QVC.
I’m pretty convinced that the Philosophy Miracle Worker Collection is truly a miracle. Those Miracle Worker pads are amazing, the dark spot corrector is incredible, and the moisturizer is so incredibly hydrating!
All of these treats and more have become staple products for my aging skin. I found it difficult settling on an anti-aging skin regime when I started to realize it was time for me to use them but now I’ve found the perfect combination of products, thank you Philosophy!
Needless to say I’m VERY excited to check out the new Philosophy The Microdelivery Triple-Acid Brightening Peel. I’ve been using Kate Somerville peel but not sure where I stand with it as of yet as I’m just into my third week with it….needless to say I must get my hands on Philosophy’s version because if it proves as fantastic as the Miracle Worker pads we are in for a true treat indeed.

Philosophy introduced it’s first makeup remover for eyes and lips last year and this year they extend their popular Purity line to a new gel eye makeup remover.
Philosophy Purity Made Simple Facial Cleansing Gel & Eye Makeup Remover is a foaming facial cleanser gel and eye make up remover. This gel transforms into a lightweight foam as you massage it on and removes both makeup and eye makeup.
Purity used to be by go to cleanser but I noticed it was drying my face out a fair bit so not sure how I’ll fair with the cleansing gel.
