Fall Collections 2007

Too Faced has decided to grace our presence with a cute little Kabuki Brush!
Do you love it?
It’s pink which in my lowly opinion is reason enough to want it! However! Nordstrom decided that they wanted to be special so they introduced one that’s exclusive to their Too Faced counters. So now we have a choice we can have cute and pink OR we can have the deluxe version which is cute with flowers! Oh my!
Both are the same price so as far as I’m concerned cute with flowers is the way to go! For my animal lovers this is a cruelty free brush and animal hair free
So if cute, flowers, and pink weren’t enough for you than the fact it’s good to animals has to make you want it!
This one is on my Wish List girls!
Love it? Hate it? Want it?

I’ve been shopping around for the newest Givenchy Eye Palette since eyeballing it on the Makeup Bag. I checked around a few places and never did come across it’s release so I just gave up and was hopeful come August I’d find it. And this weekend, I did indeed find it.
It’s not available online as far as I know or in a majority of shops but if you’re somewhere in the vicinity of a Saks Fifth Ave you can hop on over as they do now have it out and available for sale!
When I first seen the photo I was somewhat skeptical of the shades actually working for me. They seemed quite dank and dark, navy blue isn’t exactly my first choice for eye color! This one was one of those palettes I just generally wanted to add to my collection but possibly never use (why, yes, I am quite bonkers! So happy you noticed)!
When I walked into Saks I headed for the counter straight away, not because I was hopeful for the palette, but just out of sheer habit as it’s always the first counter I hit! Givenchy’s such a picky little cosmetic and it’s difficult to locate a store that sells it online and off so when I do waltz into Saks it’s normally to hit up the counter first thing prior to seeking out anything else! I think I might have been quite shocked that they even had it available, I was thinking somewhere at the end of August for this little guy! I was also vaguely surprised to see how truly workable and lovely the colors are! The pics I’ve seen don’t do it nearly enough justice!
The palette this time around has almost a black onyx inlay to the “G” logo on it’s cover! Pretty plain compared to prior palettes that I have but still elegant none the less! It’s of course the standard compact that has the applicators hidden on the bottom. This time around they have a little saying inscripted on the mirror which reads “Style for Life”…sigh…I love cute little touches like this, don’t you? Ah the colors…you want to know of the colors don’t you?
As I was saying the colors are quite workable this time around! Let’s see what we have…from top left to bottom right we have the following: sheer pink, black, creamy vanilla white, khaki brownish color, a truly gorgeous gold, navy blue shimmer (this was one I was worried about but it’s quite lovely), off white, indian brownish color, and a peachy nude!
All are matte except the middle three colors. Each of these three have a kiss of shimmer and sparkle to them! Overall I think you can create quite a nice eye look with these! Some colors appear a bit sheer and not entirely matching with the theme but with a little hard work and alot of imagination you can create a great fall look!
Givenchy never fails to put out an outstanding palette and I’m sorry I doubted this one! I’m quite pleased! This retails for $50 and is in stores now! I’m positive Sephora will have it shortly so keep your eyes peeled before it sales out! If you’re at all familiar with Givenchy palettes you do realize how quickly they become unavailable! It’s one of the few make-up lines that does disappear rather quickly!

Stila’s Fall Collection, Fall Fantasy, is up on it’s website and available for purchase!
Laguna

Madagascar

Moss

It’s hard to get into the Fall frame of mine when it’s still 90 degrees outside my door but hey I can always be tempted by cosmetics right?
Sadly, this collection isn’t really calling my name and I’m not all that excited about it. It truly makes me realize how much I miss the Stila girls and the cute packaging of yesteryear.
The three palettes are kind of cute but too “grown up” for my tastes. Plus the moss palette looks similar, both in color and style, to the palette that was released last fall in the wallet style!
These are something you might want to pick up if you find them on sale at a Cosmetics Company Store, during the Stila Warehouse Sale, or just if they happen to pop up on E-bay for a really good price. Otherwise, you can probably just skip them all together in my humble opinion!
Oh well..bit of money saved here!

For the self confessed glitter haters I am the barer of good news! Urban Decay has introduced 12 New Shades of Matte shadows! Oh my! I want them all! Yes, I did say that so get over it! I’m an avid collector of UD shadows and nothing will stop me from getting these! Well…maybe I’ll wait an itty bitty while before ordering..but it shouldn’t be too long!
I’ve read a few blogs and they had mentioned that Urban Decay “promised” the shadows to be pigmented. This seems like a question. Is there any doubt these will be awesome? Come on…let’s be honest…these are going to reign supreme in our collection and possibly go for hand to hand combat with MAC matte shadows!
I’m also hearing general excitement about Narcotic a bright turquoise!!! Oh the my! I, too, felt like it was Christmas upon seeing this gorgeous hue! It’s turquoise which means I’m all over that like candy!
Hmmmm…but my brain begins to kick in and I stop thinking with my excited emotions and I realize wait a sec…this looks like freaking Piccadilly! Now I’m in a panic….a gorgeous shade of turquoise that just may be a rerun? Jesus, what an excitement killer!
How terribly wrong of Urban Decay to get my hopes up only to have them crushed by the idea that this very may well be a spin off of Piccadilly!
Narcotic Matte Eyeshadow
My Beloved, Rare, Long Ago Discontinued Piccadilly
Anyway the moral of the story is I still absolutely want Narcotic and the other 11 shades! However, Narcotic still seems to have the look of Piccadilly to it! I can cross my fingers that maybe, just maybe it’s even more vibrant and bold than Piccadilly!
The 12 New Shades Are:
Chronic: Bright Light Green
ABC Gum: Pale Peach
Foxy: Light Neutral
Narcotic: Bright Turquoise
Revolver: Stone Gray
Perversion: Jet Black
Secret Service: Medium Brown
Illegal: Smoky Rose
Cult: Eggplant
Naked: Buff Nude
Purple Haze: Bright Purple (Ooo! Cool! Purple Haze sans Glitter!)
Yeyo: Powder White
I think these will be great for layering with the regular Urban Decay shadows! All in All some nice shades in this bunch and long over do as plenty of people found application with UD shadows a general mess! Personally I love ‘em and never had much problem with fall outs but I know some people who are sure to be happy with a matte formula!
Speak to me!
Are these on your wish list? Do you love the old Urban Decay shadows? Prefer these matte ones?
Comment box at the ready!

Obviously I have way too much freaking time on my hands today and blogging calms me so you’re stuck with me posting far too many entries today!
Personally, I believe that any time that I share with you should be considered some sort of blessed blessing! After all I’m very important and special and what not!
Sorry I got off track, that happens sometimes when I talk about my fabulous self!
In a prior blog I discussed the drama of my first Bobbi Brown purchases. It appears I haven’t learned my lesson in regards to Bobbi Brown because I just stumbled onto the Make-Up Bag Blog and glory be my eyes were blinded by some new palettes being released for the fall Bobbi Brown line up!
I got that funny feeling in my stomach and my hands began to shake upon seeing these shiny new palettes! It must be love??? Well, maybe not love but lust was in there somewhere for sure!
After my previous burn with the Sand and Surf palette I’m left feeling unloved by Bobbi Brown but maybe…just maybe…kinda….sorta…..I could be convinced to purchase the new line of palettes popping up for Fall!

Fall is obviously here! Tons of new bits are popping up here and there!
Smashbox’s contribution to Fall’s Line Up, The Vanity Brush Collection!
God, I think I am drooling! I so need this set! The only thing preventing me from purchasing this is the ugly brush bag! What’s with the faux fur? Ew!

I’m supposed to be working but I couldn’t resist hopping on to blog about the new T’estimo Grande Shine Eyes Eyeshadow palettes.
These palettes are for the Fall 2007 lineup and as just as gorgeous as the T’estimo Frame Impact Eyeshadow Palettes that were released for Spring/Summer collection!
I’m happy to report that T’estimo updated its webpage to reflect the new palettes as well! So you might want to hop over there after reading my little review here to check them out!
The Spring lineup remains near and dear to my heart but the Fall lineup is just as gorgeous as it’s predecessor.
The palettes are in the similiar style of the Spring release which are a mirrored compact containing one liner, one base, and two shimmering shades of eyeshadow. The palettes are exact in appearance and some people may even say some of the colors are somewhat similiar but they are quite distinctively different in my opinion!
I always find these palettes very versatile because I end up using the shimmering base for alot of my different looks and the shadows I am constantly using as a base for my deeper shades of MAC colors (either over or under my looks)! And of course on their own they work wonderful for a complete eye look!
Spring’s release were shimmering shades of greens, blues, purples, and browns. Fall’s release brings us more browns, gorgeous pale pinks, shimmering whites, and grays. Personally you can get away with these palettes for any of your looks right now! I’ve already dove right into using the pink!
T’estimo never really fails to put out something that appeals to every girly girl and this time is none the different. I originally seen these on E-bay and wasn’t so impressed with the colors. I know someone is bound to think the same thing I did when I saw them which was that the Grande Shine 04 Brown Variation appeared almost identical to the Frame Impact 04 Beige colors. I ended up purchasing one palette at first and later I ended up with the other three because I just couldn’t resist. It’s that overwhelming feeling of “have to collect them all” that the makeup crazed get!
I am actually glad in the long run I ended up with all four because they are all very unique and different pieces compared to the Frame Impact Eyes. Now to be fair I also felt like the 02 Blue from the Frame Impact palettes was also quite similiar to the blue in the Grande Impact set which gave me another excuse to only stick with purchasing one palette. But again, willpower go to hell, I ended up purchasing the gray palette and I’m pleased I did because it’s quite different.
Here you can see beige and brown being introduced to each other!
As you can see the brown from the Frame Impact palette (on the left hand side) is quite similiar to the Grande Shine palette. However once you put it on they are noticably different colors! The Frame Impact eyes comes with a gold shimmer color while the Grande Shine palette comes with a gorgeous cooper shade.
Blue and Gray Meet!
The blue in the Frame Impact palette is far more bolder and brighter than the soft, pale blue that the Grande Shine eyes gives to us! I’m quite happy I got this palette because the colors are just wonderful for the winter! It’s bound to give me a really shimmering icy eye look for the colder months!

02 – Gray Variation
03 – Brown Variation
04 – Rose Variation

Showing Off!
Overall I’m very pleased with the new palettes! These are definitely something you want to add to your collection, you won’t be disappointed!
