Holiday Collections 2008
It’s too early I tell ya! It’s just too damn early to be talking about Holiday Collections now when the leaves are just about to turn color!
But…talk about it I will…..
The Tarte Holiday Collection 2008 is shaping up rather nicely with a tempting array of goodies packaged beautifully and ready for gift giving.
As all years prior you’ll be getting plenty of bang for your buck this year from Tarte and they have packed up a considerable amount of product with a small price tag!
As with all years prior they are releasing a new Tarte Cheek Trio for $25 USD. The trio contains three mini cheek stains housed in a cute gold pouch!
Loving, simply loving the Tarte Purse Your Lips Clutch! This clutch includes nine limited edition shades of lipgloss for $39 USD!
And finally you might recall the amazing hype and excitement over Tarte’s We Wish You Wealth palette. This year you can get excited about the Tarte The Vanity Palette!
16 Shades of Gloss
The palette remains the same price as last year at $52 USD!
All in all Tarte Holiday 2008 is definitely shaping up nicely with plenty of great gift giving options for yourself or friends and family!

Whoa…just whoa…have you seen Guerlain Midnight Butterfly yet?
Can you say ridiculously awesome?
I wants it all, NOW!
This collection speaks for itself without the Muse’s commentary!
Thanks to my good buddy Iris and My Woman Stuff for scooping this story!
Lemming it as badly as I am?

The Muse likey glitter so when she seen Bare Escentuals Extreme Glitter Kit she knew she must have it! Now!
The kit includes three Bare Escentuals Extreme Glimmers with “mega-watt” sparkle….doesn’t this sound soooooooo Muse-like? I mean seriously, mega-watt sparkle? It has my name written all over it! I simply know that Bare Escentuals was thinking all about ME when they created this kit!
What you get:
- Bare Minerals Extreme Silver Eye Color
- Bare Minerals Extreme Plum Eye Color
- Bare Minerals Extreme Bronze Eye Color
- Glimmer Brush
- Sample Size Prime Time Eyelid Primer
$32 USD for the set! I like the price but the shadows are sized at 0.01oz eep! That’s really tiny….if you recall I recently reviewed the Bare Escentuals Rocker Eye Kit and the shadows included were 0.02 oz in size and that was pretty small and these are downsized a bit….
I’ll definately be purchasing this kit for myself however the smaller and smaller size does disappoint me as I’ve always associated Bare Escentuals with getting more for less but I guess nothing stays the same especially with the economy the way it is at the moment.
Bare Escentuals Holiday/Winter Collection is shaping up nicely if they keep releasing sparkling kits like this one the Muse will be very happy!
Like this one?

I’ll be reviewing it for you shortly as soon as I get my greedy little hands on it!

Sorry for being so invisible today but it’s been a rather busy Monday for your Muse! Tis 7pm and I’m quite happy to be home finally. I’m looking forward to a hot Lush bath, my weekly fix of Gossip Girl (the Muse has a soft spot for Lonely Boy!), and getting this review of Urban Decay’s hot new Holiday 24/7 Eye Pencils out to you!
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-Eye Pencils are now available in a 5 piece set in two color variations! Sweet right?
Each set contains five mini Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner Pencils for $29 USD which works out to about $5.80 USD per a pencil. The pencils are a tad bit skinnier and shorter than the regular size version but at $5.80 USD each compared to $16 USD for one shade, the Muse says, it’s a steal and a deal! Granted I love the large version and own several colors but I really like the idea of shelling out $13 USD more and getting five shades instead of one! Variety is the spice of life after all!
Travel Size versus Regular Size
The two sets available are Velvet Rope and VIP together they makeup nearly 75% of the colors offered in the Urban Decay 24/7 line. The line consists of a total of 15 shades so if you purchase the two sets you’ll end up with 10 of the 15 shades available! A nice little stash of color…great right? The Muse takes all these things into consideration for you!
Now these are postively my favorite liners out of all the liners I own. They have a gorgeous formula that’s super soft, super creamy, and beautifully blendable. Oh did I mention waterproof? No raccoon eyes here!
Out of the two sets VIP is my favorite considering it has the more vibrant shades of the two sets. VIP contains all of the following shades:
- Lucky-Metallic Cooper
- Covet-Peacock Green
- Lust-Royal Purple
Velvet Rope contains more neutral shades that aren’t as bold as VIP but that doesn’t take away from the colors in this set being just as nice. Velvet Rope contains all of the following shades:
- Yeyo-Pure White (Oh my god awesome Twiggy shade! So Mod!)
- 1999-Plum with specks of Gold
- Bourbon-Brown with specks of Gold
- Stash-Olive Green
The sets are ideal as gifts but spoiling yourself with ‘em can’t hurt either! Even though it’s 76 degrees today in New York my head is all about awesome Holiday offerings from Urban Decay!
Do check out the rest of the Urban Decay Holiday Collection by visiting their website!
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-Eye Pencil Sets in VIP and Velvet Rope are definately Muse Approved for purchase!
Are these on your Holiday wish list?
Got some already?
