Read More...The Muse heard about Clarins Holiday oh…mmm..’bout a month or so ago. My Clarins rep was ever so happy to share the deets about Clarins Holiday 2009 when I kindly asked and I proceeded to drool all over the place. Now at the time I just had a nice little write up about what was coming out but a few days ago I saw the pictures and my jaw dropped.
Clarins Palazzo d’Oro Collection is everything I love about a holiday collection with a heavy emphasis on sparkling golds for a super glamorous look.
Check it after the jump and be prepared to be wowed!

I wasn’t certain at the time but good news, Nordstrom has it up and available for purchase and I imagine the Prescriptives site and your local counters will launch shortly as well.

Why?
Well, hello have you seen the Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes Collector Set. Dude, it’s like one of those 500 pack colored pencil sets I had when I was a kid. It’s valued at a whopping $425 bucks!
What’s inside? 25…count ‘em….25….I really like saying 25. 25 Make Up For Ever Aqua Eye Liners! And by the way they are all full size. No mini size here!
Is that absurd? Turns out the kit is $225 and comes housed in a collectible tin, 100 of which are numbered and signed by Dany Sanz creator of MUFE.
So let’s do the math. Humor me I like math.
25 Aqua Eye Liners purchased separately equals $425 each. This set is $249 which breaks down each to around $10 bucks each. But…but…but…FF is on the way….let’s go ahead and do the leg work on the discount…that’s 20% off for a total of around $200 bucks divided by 25 pencils equals $8 bucks or so a liner.
Hmmmm with or without the 20% off it’s still a really killer deal but I’m not sure if I’m willing to dish out $200 dollars on the spot. Oh the agonizing choices one has to make in the name of cosmetics.
Here’s a list of shades you’ll get:
God that’s such a bloody delicious line up. I imagine if I was more into eye liners I’d haul but for now I’m saying it’s a skip for me.
How about you?
Would you buy it?
Instant lem?
Not so much?
Tell me!
Available now at Sephora.
Good Morning!
How’s tricks? Hope everyone is bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning. I’m so NOT a morning person so don’t even get me in on a discussion about the AM. Tonight I’m off to see this incredibly cheesy interactive Rocky Horror Picture Show. Every been to one? It’s where people dress up and throw rice at the screen during the wedding scene and other weird stuff. Loves it! I swear I can play a part in the movie as I know all the lines and songs. If you happen to be there I’ll be in the middle row with a few geeky friends flanking my side singing DAMMIT JANET I LOVE YOU!
Anyway!
Wanna Muse together?
I noticed MAC Magic, Mirth, and Mischief has hit the scene. w00t! I’m probably going to try to get to a counter later this weekend. The time has kinda come and gone for me to run to the nearest counter and haul like the end of MAC is coming soon. I’m sorta off the crack that is MAC but I’ll definitely be having a peeky to see what appeals.
Which brings me to today’s Musings of the Day!
What will you be hauling from MAC Magic, Mirth, and Mischief?
Tell the Muse and jump ahead for her list!

Read More...I think I was in the 8th grade when I first started watching 90210 and that was only because Luke Perry was considered crazy hotness in the 90′s. I do know that I never quite got fully “into” it but only watched it a few times because I believe at the time my mum deemed it too racy or some such nonsense.
Anyway.
Moral of the story is I started watching the revamp of 90210 last season because I was trying to relive some part of my youth I suppose. Turns out the show is a train wreck that I haven’t been able to keep my eyes off of since. It’s awful. The actors are all annoying, the story plots are absurd, and it’s complete cheese whiz…but I continue to watch for some reason.
This is getting rather long but I’m telling you this because have you so noticed that they went all budget on the show? Like what happened to the parents? They cut them out almost completely. And Kelly? Practically gone. And the great big Hollywood home…finished. 90210 is getting the economy treatment if ever I did see it. Thank god CW hasn’t cut down on Supernatural otherwise someone would have to hear me whine about it.
You know what else is getting economized this year? Makeup! But unlike 90210 that’s a good deal as far as this Muse is concerned.

Everyone and their mum is packing up awesome steals and deals and slapping a super cheap price tag on it. The Muse finds herself looking at items and randomly shouting SOLD! really loudly when she sees a cool deal…ok, I don’t really shout it out loud but I’m normally very close to doing it.
This year Stila happens to give us more for less with it’s new Lip Glaze Collection for 2009. This is $25 bucks and includes 8 Stila Lip Glazes…can you say total cheapness?
Loves it!
