Spring Collections 2009
I’ve been seriously trying to convince myself all day to just say no to Eyeko Lip Gloss Tins! Oh my god the cuteness is burning my eyes!
Three brand new scented lip balms in cute little tins are a Muse’s downfall!
I’m not sure what’s tempting me more the fact that they are available in flavors like cherry, cupcake, and rose or the fact that Eyeko is offering free shipping on every order.
I hate how you tempt me Eyeko! Not cool, not cool at all!
Each balm is loaded up into a cute little tin and it’s £4 price tag is just as sweet!

As for the Muse, she’s sitting on her hands and trying to show some restraint!
The British Beauty Blogger has a preview of the latest Urban Decay Pocket Rocket Lip Gloss and I got a little scared when I seen it.
But Muse why are you scared? It looks kinda cute. But…Well, that dude on the top half of the cap in his underwear is enough to worry a Muse. Turns out that the Urban Decay Pocket Rocket Lip Gloss is a uber slim gloss that tucks in your jean pocket without causing lumps or bumps.
And that guy? He’s a holographic image that appears dressed or undressed (don’t be dirty! Undressed but with his underwear firmly in place)….now the Muse likes men but the idea of having an undressed dude on the cap of my gloss makes me wonder……

We all need a little gossip in our lives. The Muse thrives on good gossip…oh should I not admit that do you think?
Banila Co knows that we all LOVE a little juicy gossip which could be why their latest color story is entitled Gossip Girl!
Be prepared for some great pops of color!
The star of Banila Co Gossip Girl would be the new face and eye palette which features a lovely pink blush and three shades of shadow! Loves it!
A new marble blusher is also available in the shade Pleasure which is a cool shimmering pale pink! Sweet!
My personal favorite is the new dual shadow which features a bright pink and orange that clash wildly together. I absolutely love this duo and def want to pick it up.
A popping shade of green lip plumper anyone? Could work you never know!
Pair it all up with a bright pink lippie to complete your gossipy look!
The collection looks quite nice and I’m particularly feeling the love for that shadow duo, so gorg! Rather a nice late Spring release from Banila Co.

It’s that special time of the year kids when all the Asian brands begin releasing new base makeup. I kinda like and don’t like this time of the year. I like it because it’s interesting exploring new base makeup options and I don’t like it because Summer seems ages away which means a longer wait for Summer Collection details! I also don’t really like changing my base makeup around alot so I’m always somewhat fascinated at how many lines revamp there base line to include a slew of new powders, foundations, etc….
This isn’t to say I don’t like new base makeup I just feel like I switch around alot lately since I’m always searching for that perfect base makeup.
Anyway, the moral of the story is that Etude House has a brand new base line up which also includes a few color options as well. It’s somewhat unusual to have a new base makeup and a color collection released together which is one more reason to absolutely adore Korean cosmetic brands as the Japanese would never consider doing both at the same release.
Etude House Precious Mineral Skin Project looks interesting enough but I’m doubtful it can compete with last year’s Lovely Face champagne.
Jump ahead for the deets.
Etude House Precious Mineral Skin Project hmmm sounds like the Greenlight Project or something. “Be a part of the Etude House Precious Mineral Skin Project….” Whoa, awesome. Aside from the funny name the collection has promise.
Happy is a Muse who’s presented with new Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream. I’m a big fan of Etude House Magic BB Cream so this looks quite similar! Wants it!
A new mineral setting powder also being released.
Etude House Precious Mineral Make Essence is a new primer.
Etude House Tear Drop Liner which is quite similar to what was released with the Lovely Face Collection. This is a glitter liner meant to lighten up the eye area!
A new highlighter for applying to cheeks and face for a bit of a Spring glow!
And finally two new color options which are the Etude House Fresh Cherry Blusher Duo and Etude House Fresh Cherry Lip Tint quite like Etude House Plumping Lip Tint
I’m kinda leaning towards snagging just about everything in the collection as it all looks rather good. I’m particularly liking the blusher duo and lip tints!
How about you?

I think that even Marvin would find something enlightening to say about the Bobbi Brown Platinum Shimmer Brick! You can’t possibly be miserable with this hanging around your cosmetic collection can you?
All that silver and pink is quite robotic or is that my inner geek coming out to play?
Bobbi Brown Platinum Shimmer Brick could host up my new favorite category as it’s truly a gorgeous compact! Combining softer pinks with hints of silver and contrasting it all with a few bolder shades makes for an interesting cool look this Spring season! Today I reviewed Bobbi Brown Sparkle Eye Shadows for you and I couldn’t help thinking how fabulously Ballet would go with the Platinum Shimmer Brick.
The shades in the compact range from a softer pink, with a tiny touch of silver, a few bolder shades of pink, and finishing with a soft peach. Combined together the effect is a subtle pink, silver glow that highlights cheeks and face. On top of a cool pink blush this shines through as a luminous glow.
I was quite happy to see that Bobbi Brown seems to be embracing this new style compact for her Shimmer Bricks. Where as most of the older bricks are housed in a black compact this comes in a silver compact with a padded cover just like the Copper Diamond Shimmer Brick released this Winter season!
I tend to have a heavy hand during application so my FOTD’s have a slight shimmer overload look but with a lighter hand you can achieve a very nice subtle shimmer finish that’s sophisticated and perfect for daytime use. The brick screams Spring in a major way and compliments many cool looks, particularly pastels and pinks. If you’re unlucky enough to have chubby cheeks like the Muse you’ll be happy to take note that the brick creates a rather nice flushed looks to cheeks and makes your face glow. The product isn’t deeply pigmented and I think it works best on your face however you can easily use it a a nice eyeshadow for a sheer wash of color on lids.
For my look I combined a soft pink on my lids with a sparkling silver on my lower lash to contrasts with the silver and pink in the brick.
All in all the Bobbi Brown Platinum Shimmer Brick is probably one of the prettiest ones I own and it’s quite a lovely edition to my collection. This one is Muse Approved for purchase! The Muse loves the color, loves the Spring feeling of the brick, and particularly likes that sci-fi feel of it! Marvin approves too if you were wondering!
Have it already?
