Spring Collections 2009
I love that Stila is embracing it’s roots and packaging their new Stila Backstage with Lea Rose Collection in a cute little can! The can is cardboard but the Muse is still loving that they are taking things backwards and kicking it old school.
Check out what’s inside the can after the jump!
If you’re wanting a whole lotta Stila bang for your buck this be the collection for you! Stila Backstage with Lela Rose contains four products used by everything makeup artist at the Spring 2009 Fashion Show. You can snag all four products for $34 USD and uber cute packaging too!

Mmmhmm the Muse listens to everything you say. Remember when some of us were complaining that Urban Decay 24/7 Liners just don’t stay put?
Have no fear!
Benefit to the rescue with it’s new Badgal Liner Waterproof……oooOoooOoo! Ahhh! Whoa….could this be the solution to lasting liner all day long?
This Muse doesn’t many problems in the liner department as she rarely wears eyeliner however she wouldn’t mind at all if she could find a liner that lasts all day without wearing out from her waterline!
Her waterline is one particular place where liner fails to stay. Although Urban Decay 24/7 Liners last pretty much all day the Muse does find a touch up here and there never hurts.
However, Benefit BADGal Eyeliner sounds exactly what she needs!
Promises to keep you rocking through rain or shine and lasts right up until you take it off. Sounds to good to be true? Maybe! Remains to be determined! The Muse must get her hands on some and see how well it holds up to her tests!

The Muse was feeling every so hopeful that the new Body Shop RoseFlower Lips would turn out as good as they looked in the promo pictures. Although for the most part it was the Roseflower Blush that called my name, I do so admit that the lippes were equally as beautiful.
Turns out they are beautiful and have a super fab formula to go along with ‘em too!
Read ahead to find out all about them!
I’m pretty impressed overall with The Body Shop Moroccan Rose Spring Collection. In particular I thought that The Body Shop paid special attention to packaging this year which didn’t go unnoticed by this Muse, whom happens to be a packaging junkie. The new RoseFlower lipsticks come housed in a crystal clear tube which for the most part isn’t anything too special however wrapped around the inside tube is a gorgeous pink overlay with pretty little rose flower emblems that totally tickled this Muse.
Aside from the uber pretty packaging the lipsticks themselves are truly a rather great find. I tried out two of the three shades and both were very pretty and flattering for the Spring weather. The formula is nicely moisturizing and leaves behind a shiny, glossy pigmented pout. As advertised the lipsticks contain organic beeswax and marula oil which repair the skin’s natural moisture barrier. In keeping with it’s rose theme the lipsticks taste and smell like a delicate rose which adds a certain charm to the overall lipstick. If you’re lips tend to be drier you’ll love the formula as gloss is completely optional considering that the lipsticks themselves leave behind a nice shiny lip look.
The colors I tried were Deep Pink and True Pink. Although both shades were lovely I thought True Pink was the better rose shade that paired up beautifully with pink cheeks and a pink eye look that I created this morning. Deep Pink is strangely named as there isn’t any question it’s pink but it’s more of a fun fuchsia shade rather than a true deep pink shade.
At $16 USD per a lipstick I didn’t think they were too badly price considering they deliver with a high quality lipstick and lovely packaging to go along with it.
Overall, I’m quite pleased with both shades and think I’ll add the 3rd shade to my collection. Perfect for your Spring looks, Roseflower Lips from the Body Shop are Muse Approved for purchase. The Muse liked ‘em alot!

The Muse happens to be quite a big fan of Benefit Get Even. Maybe those crazy kids at Benefit wanted to step their game up this Spring so they decided why not take something as good as Get Even and make it even better!
If Benefit Get Even just wasn’t enough for you how about trying out Benefit Hello Flawless! The Muse thinks it should be renamed to Hello Gorgeous! with it’s ultra slick compact and amazing formula!
Benefit Hello Flawless! is the newest custom powder cover-up with SPF 15! Yay everyone run around in circles and rejoice that it contains SPF. I swear I heard the angels sing in Singapore just now as I know all my sweet ‘pore readers are going to be amazingly happy at the release of a powder foundation that contains a healthy dose of SPF. All that hot, humid weather needs a good powder to keep the wicked oily skin at bay plus protect skin with the added “Benefit” (get it benefit? haha) of SPF.
Hello Flawless! has some sort of amazing, super duper incredible texture that allows chicks like us to customize the degree of cover-up they need by using the sponge…and get this…the brush included. That’s right peeps you get not one but two applicators. I’m excited, are you excited? Hey, it’s the little things that make a Muse happy!
Even better yet looking at the promo images it appears that everyone of my readers that has ever ranted at Benefit for lack of shade selections can now be blessedly silent as the shades appear to be suitable for just about everyone. Light, Medium, or Dark it seems that Benefit has you covered, literally.
Although Hello Flawless! won’t be available until April, Benefit is featuring it on their website starting next week with a special “shade finder” tool for matching you up with your perfect Hello Flawless! shade so before you know it the Muse will be waving at you shouting “Hello Gorgeous!” as you pass by with your flawless coverage in place.
The Muse will be reviewing Benefit Hello Flawless! for you shortly. I’m quite interested in this one folks as I crave a light pressed powder for Summer and Get Even is normally my go to compact for those warmer days however Hello Flawless! sounds even better.
The Muse is on the case and bringing you the deets shortly.
Whatta ya think?

For your trippy pleasure, MAC Hello Kitty Collection video:
Skip ahead to hear my thoughts on it!
I swear I wish I had a tab of acid I could slap back because that would seriously give me the full on experience of watching the MAC Hello Kitty video.
It’s trippy enough mind you but acid would really give it a certain edge dontcha think? Didn’t those dudes in the big Hello Kitty heads remind you of the Pyramid Heads from Silent Hill? Shudder! For a second there I was thinking things were going to get sexual as they looked ready to rip that blond chick’s clothes off. Omg when did Hello Kitty become so scary?
That’s some seriously trippy stuff even without the acid.
What do you think?
Scares me Muse!!!!!
