Spring Collections 2009
Just a heads up that Benefit has updated it’s site and Benefit Coralista is now available for purchase now instead of February as originally planned! Click!
I was feeling kinda stingy and was hoping for Free Shipping with my order but at least I located a coupon code for 10% off which brought my shipping down to around $2.50 USD instead of the $5.48 USD they normally charged. I couldn’t see myself paying nearly $6 bucks to ship a little box of powder!
Anyway the moral of the story is you can snag Benefit Coralista plus 10% Off by using coupon code HEYTHERE
The Muse ordered hers and will bring a review and swatches shortly!
You won’t hear me ranting about dark colors and unusual shades when you see the new Shu Uemura Mirage Collection for Spring 2009.
Spring is an unusual time for cosmetics and you never know quite what you’ll get when new collections launch. Ideally I love softer, pastel shades for the Spring however that’s doesn’t always happen and sometimes bolder comes into play. However, this year I couldn’t be more excited about the Shu Uemura Mirage Collection which contains an array of softer colors that are most flattering to embrace the warmer weather when it breaks through the bleakness of Winter.
The collection is launching in Japan as of January 23rd however it’s arrival is already gracing the pages of Evil-bay! I got these images mailed to me this morning from an E-bayer whom already has a majority of the collection, at ridiculously jacked up prices, available for sale.
The collection includes four liner pencils in an array of softer, delicate shades such as pastel pink and purple. Also releasing are two limited edition eyeshadow trios which I’m quite excited about considering I haven’t seen a release of trios such as this since I picked up some released with the Shu Uemura Prism Collection. Also included are three new Glow On duos which include two contrasting shades of blush and finally a limited edition lip duo!
Shu Uemura Prism Collection Spring 2007
Whether the US will see any of these releases remains to be seen but at the moment it will release shortly in Japan to what the Muse expects to be great excitement as the collection is quite stunning.
All in all I can’t help but feel very Easter-like about the entire collection. Don’t get me wrong it’s extremely appealing but the shades remind me of fluffy yellow baby chicks and pastel dyed eggs……

The Muse reported earlier on the Too Faced Smurfette Collection and you’ll be happy to know it’s now making a starring appearance at Sephora!
If you’re wanting to re-live your youth and step back into the 80’s head on over to Sephora to nab any number of Too Faced Smurfette themed items!
The collection includes:
Too Faced Smurfette Mood Swing Emotionally Activated Lipgloss $18.50 USD
If you’re wanting to get your smurfy seductions skillz on this is the gloss you’ll want to use! Tinted a blue shade (what other color would it be?) it blossoms into the perfect shade of pink to make your kisses extra smurfy special!
Too Faced Smurfy-Eyed Liquid Eyeliner $17.50 USD
Available in two smurf approved shades this liquid liner adds a bit of smurfy sparkle to your lash line! Silver and of course Blue is available!
Too Faced So Smurfy Eye Shadow Collection $32.50 USD
This palette supposedly contains Smurfette’s favorite shades! The Muse is digging the shades whether or not Smurfette actually loves ’em or not we’ll never really know!
Too Faced So Smurfy Illumination Face Powder $26 USD
A face powder that brightens and tones! Hmmm I don’t need much else other than the cuteness of Smurfette’s mug smiling at me from the powder! Loves it!
Whether you love it or think it’s ridiculous the Too Faced Smurfette Collection is, if anything, unique! The Muse thinks if you grew up in the 80’s you’ll simply adore it. Hey the Muse has taken beauty advice from far worst than a smurf! How bad can it be?

Etude House has updated it’s main portal (Korean site) with a brand new collection entitled I Can’t Help Smiling!
The collection seems to be centered around a brand new perfume of the same name. Although I’m not particularly interested in the fragrance (I find most of Etude House’s fragrances smell somewhat old ladyish!) I am quite excited about getting my hands on the new makeup items and cleansing oils introduced with the Etude House I Can’t Help Smiling collection!
The collection includes a highlighting bead set with cute fluffy puff in the same vein as Guerlain Meteorites but with a Benefit Highlighter packaging style! Cute! Also available is a lipgloss mini trio and what appears to be a quad gift set of lip balms!
And finally a few new cleansing oils entitled Etude House Cleansing Dream and also a few cream cleansers I believe.
I wouldn’t call this a holiday collection per say but it does look like a rather nice line up of goodies from Etude House. Sadly, I have no prices as of yet since the Etude House shop is not yet showing the products nor am I able to get a hold of the new makeup video for these goodies as the site is boggled down as usual! Rant! I’m going to try to get my hands on these items so I can appease my appetite for new Etude House goodies and bring you the deets on whether you need ’em!
