Spring Collections 2014
I have friends who are horrified that I burn tarts or use $5-$8 bubble bars or bombs! Seriously, my friend Jamie can’t walk into Lush with without proclaiming how expensive the bombs and bubble bars are and wincing about how you’re only using them for one bath and how that bath is costing me anywhere between $5 to $10.
She also does the same thing when we go to Yankee Candle and tells me I’m burning money each time I melt a tart.
I love her but I guess I don’t have the same mentality about beauty that she does as I consider the $8 bucks I spend on a Lush bath relaxing, comforting, and just a wonderful indulgence and money well spent. I work hard I deserve a little R&R under a mound of delicious scented moisturizing bubbles don’t I?
Well for friends like Jamie might I introduce you to the Lush Brightside Bubble Bar?
Clinique All About Shadow 8 Pan Eyeshadow Palette in Neutral Territory 2 is a new, limited edition palette featuring eight shades of eyeshadow in nude, natural shades.
Clinique did a stupendous job with this palette but it does combine some traditional nude shades of shadow but they have a nice twist of deeper, warmer shades like Black Honey Eyeshadow (hello awesome color!).
Let’s take a look!
Fan of the sweet, juicy, fragrance of fresh picked raspberries? The Body Shop captures an early harvest of Raspberry with their new collection of bath, body, fragrance, and even makeup inspired by the succulent early Summer fruit!
NYC New York Color Expert Last Lipstick ($1.99) is a new longwearing lipstick that New York Color Cosmetics launched for Spring 2014 in 20 shades.
If you’re looking for a cheap thrill this is a nice pick up.
Now that I finally reviewed all the shades in the L’Oreal Collection Privee Collection for you I thought I’d share some final thoughts!
As you know the L’Oreal Collection Privee is a selection of high end looking L’Oreal Colour Riche Lipsticks (there’s also a Privee Nail Polish Collection available) that come housed in a matte black casing with gold accents. Each shade is inspired by the skin tone of a past or present L’Oreal model or brand ambassador. The shades a range of non traditional nudes for creating a natural lip look.
The celebrities included in the collection are Eva Longoria, Freida Pinto, Jennifer Lopez, Julianne Moore, Doutzen Kroes, and Liya Kebede. This collection actually got an earlier launch in the UK but it’s now popping up here in drugstores. Unfortunately it is a limited edition launch so if you love these shades you’ll have to be sure to pick them up as soon as see them as they will likely disappear fast.
